Should I Spend Donuts On Yo Yo & the Worm Train?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Lions and Tigers and Emus…oh my!  The Springfield Zoo (aka Moe’s Ark) event is in full swing in our pocket-sized towns!  Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Yo Yo & the Worm Train to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this bouncing combo to your town…

2.5% Bonus on cash and XP/ Earns regular task currency and event currency

Final Thought
Premium:
Hey look, it’s yet another overpriced one-off character for Springfield.  Again, it falls in line with the standard price point.  I like that the worm train comes with a bonus % (always prefer that to cash/xp payouts).  Like Joan, this is another toss-up.  If you like and want, pickup.  Otherwise, pass.  However, I would say because of the bonus % on the Worm Train I’d be more likely to get this over Joan.
**Patric says- If it weren’t for the bonus, this is a very, very, very silly “pass” for me. I bought it, so I could help out with the SIB. Not a fan.

Freemium:
Freemium players should pass.  Save your donuts, Yo Yo is not worth the pickup.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’m likely passing.  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now). Also, since this is an item that helps with the event, it’s better to pick this up sooner rather than later if you plan to grab it.  This way you maximize the event currency earning throughout the entire event.

Here’s a look at her tasks…

YoYo’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Drink Slushies 1hr $105, 26xp Kwik-E-Mart
Give Kangee A Snack 4hrs $260, 70xp* Outside/Visual
Bound 8hrs $420, 105xp* Outside/Visual
Buy Comics 12hrs $600, 150xp Android’s Dungeon
Visit Lisa 24hrs $1000, 225xp* Simpson House

*Her 4hr, 8hr, and 24hr tasks will earn event currency for the duration of the event.  Once the event is over they’ll revert to cash/XP.

What are your thoughts on Yo Yo and the Worm Train?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield? Did you already?  Why or why not?  Where have you placed it in your town?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

Oh..and MY thoughts?  (this is Patric) If you are actually considering spending money on this… Here’s an alternative!  We’re off to a great start…

  1. Yo Yo & the Worm Train

Character is cute, but the lack of free space at the Zoo (your fault, EA – you and those darn Land Tokens) meant “nope!” from me. Even if these end up in a Mystery Box later at discount? I have no idea where they would go. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  2. Would have thought about it if there was a 24 hour visual task but there’s not so it’s a big pass for me.

  3. 😉Couldn’t resist; I find her ridiculously anime🌈flavor cute & unique, along w/the Aussie edge👌

  4. Hold up. Didn’t you talk about this character before the event even started??? Did EA let you??

    • LOL… actually, EA had sent us the preview. Which is how I knew to complain about it. There is no way in heck that I would have though this one up on my own.

  5. Wouldn’t waste donuts on this but a worthy cause to donate to, donation sent 😁

I bought it for the Bonus + Character.
And thanks to my odd ball sleeping habit, and a rotten cat that sometimes demands to be fed in the middle of the night…..
I’ve finished the Quest Line and have a Teenage Homer
Next on my To-do list is Wednesday when new items come on sale.
Can hardly wait for the Post President Sales:
    Obama-Rama-Ding-Dong
    Bush-in-the-Hand
    Trump-me-all-night-long
    A Clinton-the-eye-means-you’re-a-bad boy.

Smile every one —- it’ll be HumpDay when you read this – and I’m out of Frogs

  7. Im Austrlaian so of course i bought the giant kangaroo, this is going to be the first event i wont finish though, all those habitate upgrades, grrr.

    • Hey fellow Aussie! I just got young Homer this morning. Couldn’t resist buying Yo Yo & Kangee.

You should send me a friend request – oktober10

  8. eh. I’ll pass

  9. As an Aussie, I had to get the kangaroo! And we have the emus, which are natives so we can’t complain there. The percentage is always a bonus too. The worm train, meh!

    • Another Aussie! Send me a friend request – oktober10

Worm train is odd. Not sure what I will end up doing with it. May be something for I&S land.

  10. After going through my google acct history and adding up all the Real Cash I’ve spent on this game since I started… I’m both ashamed and disgusted with myself.
SO, seeing as my bonus % is now over 1000, and I have over 900mil in game cash, I will begin seriously KEM Farming and buying everything offered without spending another penny on this game that’s been heading downhill like a runaway train in which EALAP forgot to program any brakes.
Everyone here @ TSTOAddicts are the best part of the game!

  11. I grabbed her because of the super random childhood nostalgia factor. Even though they don’t really look like Dot and the Kangaroo, that’s what the invoked for me, so it was worth it. And that was before I found out the worm train had the bonus it did.

Her questline was cute, too. Haven’t seen any event currency payout on any task aside from “Give Kangee a snack” but that’s okay because it entertains me.

  12. I wasn’t going to pick this up but saw it in a neighbor’s town and liked it, plus when I saw it came with % I was sold lol ☺ I’m not a fan of the cost; EA really pissed me off with the unfair donut deals so I’m not spending real money and am doing donut farming more now. It was always easier to casually farm for big items and drop money here and there the rest of the time but they ruined that way of thinking for me. I really love this game or I would have quit by now, so much bs over the years. Hard to be faithful to a company that keeps crappin on loyal players, that’s for sure!! On a positive note I am enjoying this event and am excited to see what they do for Halloween and Christmas. And honestly I know I’ll spend actual money at Christmas to help keep the game up and running…but I’ll grumble a lot about it lol ☺ Happy tapping everybody! Thanks Addicts for all your hard work!!
*And Patric, I’ll be donating again to your cause when I get paid ☺

  13. One of the most non simpsons thing ever.

  14. Her 24 hr. task never showed it as giving event currency, always cash

  15. I bought this because of the bonus percentage.

  16. I admit I went on a shopping spree and bought ALL premium event-helping combos (even the oh-my-overpriced Sarah W.). I regained my senses somewhen after act III started, and I managed to skip this one. I will gladly embed it in my Springfield as a rebated item, but not now 😊

  17. Being Australian, how could I ignore a giant kangaroo, LOL

I bought this as soon as I saw it. I had the same reaction with Knifey Spoony (have I spelled it correctly?)

I’m definitely enjoying this event far more than any other that I can think of, some interesting animals & environments to collect. However with the Australian items available to buy it’s a pity there’s no Aussie animals available to collect. A Koala 🐨🐨🐨, Dingo or Kookaburra are the first ones that come to mind.

BTW, KEM farming has made it much easier to buy the premium characters without feeling stressed out about the prices (too much). I’ve almost reached the final prize, so hopefully will get there before the weekend 😊

Thanks to everyone for making this site so helpful, informative & enjoyable 😊

  18. I picked her up, I like her animated tasks 🙂

  19. I know this is silly but Iam having trouble moving the animals around to different places on The Plains . Also, had the elephant on the plains and pressed something and now can’t get him back out. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    • Changing animals is a 3 step process…first bring up the animals screen….next choose the slot number…next, a new screen lets you choose the animal for that slot (you have to scroll down for the fifth animal choice). It then reverts back to the “choose the slot number” screen again…so you choose the next slot you want to change, then the next screen has you pick the animal….and so on and so on. When your happy with the animal arrangement, just close the screen. Hope this helps.😁
