Another day, another event in Springfield. As the Springfield Zoo event is in full effect in Springfield. And it wouldn’t be an event without a Mystery Box, now would it? Of course EA’s go a box for this occasion! They have a box for everything! This time around we’re time traveling back a year, to the Time Travel Toaster Event & a MB full of items from that wonderful event…
This is a premium box full of your chance to get those Time Travel premium character/building/decorations you may have missed out on last year. By now we should all be familiar with how Mystery Boxes work, so let’s jump to the breakdown of what’s inside…
This Mystery Box is a great way to get items at a discount or something you missed out on from a previous event.
And…if you already have everything in the box you won’t see the box in your store.
So for 50 donuts, you can have your shot at a variety of premium characters, decorations, and buildings from last year’s Time Travel event (and a few non Time Travel event items). 50 Donuts is less than or equal to the initial value for each item. (unless it was a prize)

Moe’s Cavern & Caveman Moe– Originally a prize during TTT. Details. Premium character/building combo. (full character, NOT a skin)
Cavegirl Booberella Bundle- Originally 150 donuts if you didn’t have Booberella, 100 Donuts if you did. Should I buy. Premium character (if you don’t have Booberella), costume and building.
Oasis- Originally 75 donuts. Should I buy. Premium decoration with 2.5% bonus.
Prehistoric Jungle- Originally 85 donuts. Should I buy. Premium decoration with 2.75% bonus
Acid Pools- Originally 70 donuts. Should I buy. Premium decoration with 2.5% bonus
Waterslide Tree- Originally 100 donuts. Should I buy. Premium decoration with 3% bonus.
Two-nicorn- Originally 70 donuts. Should I buy. NPC, but does have a task with Furious D if you have him.
Springfield Historical Society & Hollis Hurlbut- Originally 150 donuts. Should I buy. Premium character/building combo.
Giant Screamapillar- Originally 80 donuts. Should I buy. NPC, no tasks at all.
Petshop & Jub-Jub- Originally 90 donuts. Should I buy. Premium character/building combo. Yes, Jub has tasks…
Now, while I know you can’t pick and choose which items you want from the box, I included the Should I Buy (or details) posts from the past so y’all can see how much they originally cost & what specifically each building/character does.
50 donuts is a MORE THAN fair price for most of the items at least. So my thoughts are, if you have something in there you want…give it a try. You’ll likely get something worth it.

I was 100 donuts short to buy all the items from mystery box.
I bought it 6 times, the only thing I didn’t want was booberella skin with tit cave. I got her on the fifth try. :/ And I already had twonicorn.
Two very nice options left in the box were the oasis and the historical society. Ah, how sad! Next time.
My top choice of the 9 avail was historical society, then the water slide tree. Bought 6, got everything else, didn’t get either of those. The other i didn’t get was Boobarella skin, probably my 3rd choice. Pretty bad luck there.
I paid my 50 donuts and happy to say I got the historical society and Hollis and I’m delighted by it.. yay.. 😊

Wow, most of these are really good deals. I won or bought them when they came out. No regrets though. Hope other players are happy with this box.
Time Travel Mystery Box
50 Sprinkles per chance is very reasonable this time (I felt 100 Sprinkles per chance on the prior Mystery Box was too pricey). Plenty of fun stuff, some worth finding space for. 😀👍
Hmm… I don’t know… I would like to add the oasis and the jungle to my plan for a green area… And I would like Booberella too. But I don’t really care about the skins and everything else (I already have Jub-Jub)… :/
Dang it, I’d been waiting for the pet shop to show up again in the vault and now it’s stuck in this mystery box where the odds of getting it are very small. Someday …
Tried my luck and got the three things I wanted the most! The Water Slide Tree, Cavegirl Booberella and Hollis Hurlbut! (Also the three most expensive originally.) Thank you, game algorithm!
I got the exact opposite. Only three left in the box as i ran out of donuts.
Kept playing it and through pure luck got everything except the 2 npc garbage. Very happy with dropping a large number of donuts because I got 4 full characters (didnt have boobrella already) and a big spike In bonus percent.
The ones i really didn’t want are the twonicorn and the screamippilar, dropped 100 and predictably got both. Instant storage for both. At least next time i should get something half decent. Hopefully not cavegirl as i already have Boobarella, so only a skin there.
I insulted this box, but gave in, bought one, and got caveman moe, and i was happy.

Along with the concert box from the last event, this is my favourite mystery box that I have ever received because: a) I recently started redesigning my Egyptian and Prehistoric so the Oasis, Acid Pools, Curvaceous Cave and Prehistoric Jungle fit in well with the design (still not sure where to put the tree yet so anyone have any ideas?), the Historical Society does look nice in a olde Springfield section with the Library, Hall of Records and Sideshow Bob’s House; b) I increased my bonus by 10.75% even though I spent 350 donuts to get it but it also included 2 characters (the Screamapillar was pretty much a dud since I have the koi pond), 2 buildings and a costume (already had Booberella but still happy to get the cave and costume at 50 donuts) to make up for the price; c) I was disappointed with the first mystery box since it cost 100 donuts and I had only one item inside it; d) other than Sarah Wiggum, I haven’t spent many donuts during this event since the new stuff doesn’t really interest me as much as the returning stuff does at the moment. 😁🦖🦕🏜️🌳🐛🍩🍩🍩
Tried the box 3 times, got two boring NPCs and the Oasis… so, a 2.5% bonus for 150 donuts spent. I‘ve had better deals 😒
I’m happy with the waterslide tree and prehistoric jungle that I got. It fits nicely with the last area of the zoo.
There are only 2 items in my mystery box that I would want. Not worth the try for me. I’ll stick to the other mystery box. I have a feeling the Cavegirl Booberella Bundle will probably show up again in the THOH event, but probably for more sprinkles.
Wanted anything but Screamapillar. Got Screamapillar

Loved this mystery box. Hated the two npcs, but got the lot, either characters (and I didn’t have booberella) or a good % bonus.
Emptied right away. Still not clear about the “time travel-ty” of the waterslide tree 😅
