Should I Spend Donuts On the Giant Lobster Scorpion?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Lions and Tigers and Emus…oh my!  The Springfield Zoo (aka Moe’s Ark) event is in full swing in our pocket-sized towns!  Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Giant Lobster Scorpion to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this 1 eyed crustacean to your town…

Building/Decoration: Giant Lobster Scorpion
Donut Cost: 35 Donuts
Size: 3×4

Earns:
2.5% bonus on all cash and XP
Conform-O-Meter:
Vanity +200
Can Be Placed:
grass|pavement|boardwalk|pier|dirt

Leaves stores September 12th

Pros
-Comes with a short questline
-2.5% it’s still a good buy for donuts spent
-Animated when tapped

Cons
-Aside from bonus %, at the end of the day it’s just a 1 eyed crustacean

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
I think it’s worth  35 donuts  for 2.5% bonus.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’ll pick it up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at the questline it comes with…

Giant Lobster Scorpion
Autostarts

Willie: Look at the size of ya. You’d be a tasty treat on Willie’s dinner plate. That’s if Willie ate off dinner plates.
SVT: Uh, Sir, you can’t eat the Lobster Scorpion.
Willie: This crusty groundskeeper will eat any crustacean he wants. Now outta my way!

And speaking of hearing from you….
YOU ARE DOING GREAT ON OUR FUNDRAISER... more than halfway there…but, we only have a few more days before the term starts. So…Give what you can! THANKS!

Should I spend the grants? Or do we have to save them for some surprise item at the end of the event?

    • I wouldn’t count on a surprise, but personally I always like to hoard my extra crafting currency until the very end of the event and then go on a shopping spree the last day.

  4. sorry out of topic.
just got update at loading screen.
next thing I know some characters are missing:
Disapproving squirrel, ms. scratchy & picnic tree, roy, all poochie event items, conformity bonus 200%, 4hr celebrate task for maggie, maybe more missing.

  5. My game just downloaded an update that seems to have made loads of pointless changes – like the zoo walls are now brown and don’t match the wall pillars either side of the zoo sign, the emus are a completely different design, as are the deer, and the flowers on the bushes awarded by the emu experience have changed from pink to white. Why EA, why?

  6. Just got some mini update thing…..poochie is gone…hus car, the ramp, disgruntled goat stand, trailer, the thing where the kid sit eith the knob thing…all stuff from the poochie event. And my zoo walls changed color! What the hell?????

  8. Hey, do you know why EA changed so many little design details from the zoo with today’s update, is that a game of 7 mistakes or something ? 🤨

  9. I like that it remains activated until tapped-again.

Seems that EA is making more of these types of decorations, which is good. If I enjoy the animation…. keep it coming without requiring more-taps.

  11. 35 donuts for 2.5% Bonus is reasonable, but I wonder if there’s something (or some things) equal to that which takes up less space? I’m telling you, having to get Land Tokens is forcing this Tapper to be mindful of how much space something takes. 🤔

  17. Not really on topic of that lobster/scorpion thing, but about the event. Is there nothing coming after warmonger’s section? There are still like 5 days left of the event.

  18. Maybe… I’m gonna take this one for a future krustyland/halloween area… % is good…

  19. Given that the standard bonus-to-donut ratio is 2%/40D, I think this is a good item (although I consider the best option the occasional rebated Jet Engine Bike). I bought it, and would again 😀
