Should I Spend Donuts On the Tower of Babel?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Lions and Tigers and Emus…oh my!  The Springfield Zoo (aka Moe’s Ark) event is in full swing in our pocket-sized towns!  Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Tower of Babel to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this biblical tower to your town…

Pros
-Comes with a short questline
-Ned has a permanent 4hr task there (Be Condescending)

Cons
-Very tall building could be difficult to fit in Springfield

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
Inexpensive premium building.  Nice that it comes with a permanent task for Ned, but it’s still a meh for me.  Size discourages me on this one.  So i’m going to list this as a toss-up (based on the price), if you like it you’re safe to pick it up at that price point.  If not pass.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’ll likely be passing. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at the questline it comes with…

Tower of Babel
Autostarts

Ned: That, boys, is one of man’s greatest mistakes. They tried to build a tower to heaven.
Rod: I want to go to heaven! Let’s climb it!
Ned: No Rod, you diddly don’t. The Lord dealt out a mighty powerful punishment on the people who built this tower.
Rod: Being punished is my favorite hobby!
Ned: Then your punishment is no punishment!

  1. What quest do you need to comolete to be able to buy this?

  2. Got it, love it, put it right up against the Stairway to Heaven.

I’m replacing the tiles so they match, but thought an Atlantis and Tower keeper’s house would add mystery. Who’s in there … ?

    • I did something similar to this with Atlantis, it’s by the pier now on its own platform but I was too stingy to let it have the fancy tiles! Maybe I’ll reconsider… but thought I’d put my Tower of Babel over near God’s platform which is closer to Krustyland keeping an eye out for park attendees. Putting the islands close by is a nice touch too. It’s nice they gave us 10 free donuts to help pay for this.

  4. Tower of Babel

I am definitely on break from spending Sprinkles on anything EA offers until its Halloween 🎃 (Ned Flanders has plenty of 4 Hour Tasks for me). The price is right, but the Building is too tall for me ….

  5. Actually, I tried and tried…but it still doesn’t have a home. There’s no religious section in my town, even Jesus and heaven are still stored. I did try it out in the water, but nothing went ”zing!”, so I guess this is a pass. Not really collecting things for the bonus anymore, so without a great place for it, it stays on the rack.🤷‍♀️

  6. On a religion-related theme, I just saw this troubling scene play out in my Springfield: https://imgur.com/a/SPjIDfB

  7. So. If i read correctly if we don’t claim the teenage homer we can avoid the rollback?

  8. For us that are currently freemium. It seems to me that most new characters in this event are either no big whoop or totally and shamefully overpriced. Was there anything that is a big wow to buy if we had only enough to buy one? Or hold on to our hard earned donuts until the next event?

    • Well…ironically, it seems that EA is raising prices, because so many people donut farm and don’t pay real money. However…these prices are the very best reason to donut farm.
      Go Figure.

    • Sarah Wiggum has been longed for by Tappers. Because the Event Prizes are mainly meh (except for Kent Brockman’s Daughter?) and you are correct …. the days of actually getting true Premiums as Event Prizes is long gone (we do get several returns at discount, as well as Mystery Boxes – which is sometimes more rewarding then grinding). 👍

  9. No bonus percentage is a easy pass on this building.

  10. Ned earns 112 event money for 4 hour task. I bought it and like it.

  11. Again the permanent task is 4 hours… I’m getting really annoyed by them. Some characters have too many 4 Hours job just for their basic skin, not to mention extra skins. Why can’t they make 2, 3, 6, 10 or 16 hour jobs and put those times to the unemployment office?

  12. I put the Tower of Babel in my Put it in my Praiseland park.

As for Jebus Swing set? That is in the middle of my ocean…..I like to see Jebus walk on water!

I plan on getting the Jewish Heaven too and I think that will go right next to Jebus swing set on the water (if it will allow it).

  13. I just don’t see where to put this thing, but the Jesus Swingset is the best idea imo.

  14. Put it in Praiseland

  15. Haven’t decided about this one yet…I have the same thoughts about it as you cited : )

  16. I diddly dont want this.

  17. Thanks to the rollback, I lost Jesus and the Pope. So no go for me, thanks again EA, for screwing over players that spend real money on your game. If the rollback had to happen, how hard would it be to offer the limited time items for sale again. Maybe game cash for items lost during the 2 events, that were deleted.

    • Pass; It’s easy for me to pass on items that are not part of the actual theme (zoo in this case) or already established themes… Especially if not part of the “real/Show” Springfield… I lost praise land and Jesus with the rollback and since I don’t think we will get them for the Rosh Hashanah… I can pass on this…

  18. A donut building with no characters is always an easy pass. If it was for dollars I would have bought it.

  19. I am tempted to buy this because it reminds me of Stephen King’s The dark tower, which i highly recommend to read it’s a great series but the movie not so much.
After buying Sarah Wiggum, knifey spoony and yo yo i’m The lowest on donuts I have been in a very long time. Wishing I’d brought some with the deal a few weeks ago.
Is there a bonus % for the tower?

  20. Was so glad this went out to sea and sits on just 1 squidport tile 😊
