Showoff Announcement: Springfield Zoo

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s that time…calling all Springfield designs of Zoo Proportions!  We’re getting ready to do the next Springfield Showoff featuring your Springfield Zoo inspired designs!  So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!

Moe’s Ark has officially been over for a week now, and I want to see what you’ve done with all that stuff!  Because who doesn’t like seeing what others have done with all this new stuff?!  So send us your Zoo inspired designs and we’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs on MONDAY, September 24th….so you’ve got a bunch of time to prep your towns.  Take your time, design as you see fit and send us the designs when you’re ready.

So work on those designs and send us some screenshots when you’re ready…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm ET Sunday, September 23rd, 2018.  Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.

You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com.  We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.  If you email them please mark the subject with at least the word Showoff, otherwise, I might miss it.

Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots.  We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images.  Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too).  We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two.  If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week.  You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page.  We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme.  Remember, this isn’t a contest.  There’s nothing to win.  It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts.  🙂

Do you want to be featured on the next Springfield Showoff?  Post your images  in the Comments below or email us your screenshots at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We can’t wait to see YOUR designs! (Need help with images, just ask.)

    Thanks.

    • Nice design…love the use of the sun-blocker peak and the waterfall with the river. The whole zoo is a nicely balanced arrangement👍😁.

  4. Well… Ebron inspired me to join in the fun!

  5. Good news! I finally found an App for ios that actually does a decent job of stitching screenshots (saved in your photos) and is super easy to use. It’s called “Photo and Panorama Stitcher” made by Stephen Lobdell.
I put three pictures together in the app. The stitched picture is automatically saved in your photos in a new album called Photo Stitcher. Then I put three pictures together below that section and it was also saved. Then I chose the two stitched photos from the new album and came up with a pretty decent composite of all six screenshots. Played around with it a bit, but it still took less than 5 minutes total😄👍.

  6. Thanks for posting this Alissa, and giving us the weekend to finish up the zoo designs. I have a rough layout of my zoo with all the animal habitats set up (excluding Warmongers which works better in a Rigellian area instead) in the north, west and south of the zoo and the entrance at the east. I also included the Botanical Gardens and the Greenhouse with the Canary Birdhouse in the centre of my zoo. I still need to add the little items such as trees, stalls, lamp posts etc. to my zoo before I include it here. I am happy that my zoo isn’t too big or small since it already takes up 23×25 road squares.

  8. I was intimidated trying to screengrab my Zoo too. It’s not huge but took 4 screenshots to get it all. In the end I just used Microsoft Paint and it worked well stitching them together! Start at the top left and work from there. Help’s if you reduce the image size and then return it to 100% when done.

  9. OK, first time using Imgur, here goes: https://imgur.com/2GftR03

  10. I had so much fun designing my zoo 😍
Look forward to seeing everyone else’s 😘

  11. I might try the stichting method, or do it by hand. Before I nuked my town I made a whole bunch of pictures of my zoo precisely for this purpose 🙂

  12. So umm, I sorta stored most of the zoo stuff when i was redesigning my town, and merged the rest with itchy and scratchy and krustyland

  13. What software is good to stitch screenshots together?

    • I just got Photo and Panorama Stitcher by Stephen Lobdell in the app store. It works great and is super easy to use. I’ve tried at least 10 different stiching apps, and this is the first one that does a good job.👍😄

  14. Not sure if I submitted this right

  15. Super pumped to see everyone else’s work! I just put my zoo in storage. To get ready for the Halloween event.

  16. Ooooh, I can’t wait!
