Well, just because it’s Saturday doesn’t mean I didn’t want to give y’all some fun stuff to check out. So here’s the latest roundup of Simpon’s News and a few fun things to check out!
First up, Matt Selman has some good eyes..and something fans have missed for YEARS! Anyone else notice the continuity mistake in the “And Maggie Makes Three” episode from S6, E13?

Next up, yes, Michael Jackson really was on The Simpsons. Mashable has an article here, talking about how Matt Groening recently opened up about the interesting details around MJ’s appearance on the show…and who really sings “Happy Birthday Lisa”
And finally, it’s the Simpsons 3oth Season! (well episode one airs on Sept 30th, so THEN it will be the 30th season) Recently FOX unveiled the 30th Season Logo, Deadline has more on it here. However, the logo looks like this….

30 years! Wow! That’s more episodes than the various TV Series I grew up with starting in the late 60’s (I don’t think Hanna Barbera had a cartoon that’s lasted 30 Seasons, but I sure feel the Scooby Doo Gang has shown up in a different cartoon series for almost as long).
I hope the Treehouse of Horror episode this year is better than last year’s (which fell flat for me). This year’s Comic Con trailer take off of Invasion of the Body Snatchers makes me think so (carry that theme over to TSTO, make it better than last year’s Halloween Event).
The MJ episode is one of my all time favourites. We all knew it was him all along but wonderful to finally have it confirmed.
Of course getting Leon Kompowsky in the game was a total bonus 😘
Unfortunately there will not be a season 30 in Australia, unless one has Foxtel. It is no lo ger on free TV since the collapse and selling of Network 10. This is just soooooo sad!
The Simpsons have moved networks in Australia.
The new seasons will air on Channel 7.

Season 30?!?!?!?! Oh man am I ever old.
That was more or less my reaction. I remember endless battles with my mom at like, age 9, over whether or not we could watch it. By the time I was 12 she’d given up. I’ve come and gone from the show a few times over the years, but that just makes random eps I catch in syndication new to me half the time.
Maybe it’s a pic of Lisa when she was Maggie’s age
I have heard theories that that could be a baby picture of Lisa, since they both have the same hair style and the clothes could have become hand me downs for Maggie.
I just purchased The Simpsons Special Edition of Newsweek Magazine. It’s Celebrating 30 years of America’s Favorite TV Family. I’m going to start reading it right now!
Its always bugged me about the many versions of Homer & Marge’s early yrs. I know its a silly little cartoon,,but when you’ve been watching from the beginning,,you remember. Considering how big Maggie’s picture is you’d think they would’ve noticed. Honestly,I missed it. Funny that all these articles popped up on my Google news feed. Goes to show how much Simpson’s related cr@p I Google. I guess I belong here amongst other Simpson like-minded addict people. Haw haw
