Halloween is back in Springfield! Yes, the water is murky, the screen is slightly darker, monsters and minions are roaming our towns…is there anything better than Halloween in our pocket-sized towns? Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Spooky Gorge to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this currency earning Gorge to your town…
Building/Decoration: Spooky Gorge
Donut Cost: 100 Donuts
Size: 13×14
Earns: 3% bonus on all cash and XP. Also earns 180
and 70xp/4hrs. (should convert to Act 2 and 3 currency when they hit)
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Can Be Placed: grass|dirt
Leaves stores November 14th
Pros
-Comes with a short questline
-Will help earn more prize track event currency
-Ok Bonus % for donuts spent
-Always animated (spooky fog flies around it) and animated when tapped. Wagon falls over the edge (pretty good animation)
-Wiggum has a task there (Fall into Gorge) that earns event currency, however continue to send him to the Holy Forge as he’ll earn Pickaxes there.
Cons
-Massive footprint for Springfield.
Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
While you certainly don’t need this to successfully complete the event, it is a nice addition to Springfield. I like that it earns both event currency and a bonus % and the animation is pretty amusing. However, it is pretty large for Springfield. So if you have the space it’s not a bad pickup, but if you don’t it’s not a bad item to pass on either.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’ll likely pick this one up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now). Also, since this is an item that helps with the event, it’s better to pick this up sooner rather than later if you plan to grab it. This way you maximize the event currency earning throughout the entire event.

Spooky Gorge Pt. 2

Wiggum: Chief Wiggum’s journal. I have been trapped in this Spooky Gorge for days. The only thing I’ve had to eat are these bright red berries, which I’ve been washing down with my own urine. I found a creek of fresh water yesterday, but I’d gotten used to the pee flavor. If anyone finds this, tell Sarah I love her, and tell Ralphie that noses are for breathing, not picking.

I know this isn’t the right spot but I can’t find information on the monster castle and the Frankenstein’s. Is there a link somewhere that I’m just not finding because when I put it in the search it takes me to Burns castle
Nope not written yet. They leave at the end of the event and they dont help with the event so it’s not a priority post to write for me. It’ll likely be written during act 2

Spooky Gorge
I gotta make room along the Mountain Border between Springfield and Springfield Heights before I spend the Sprinkles on it (I guess if you’re missing the fog normally found throughout Springfield during this Event? this is the only fog we’re getting)!

Its pricey but I’m a sucker for any landforms that add dimension to my town, the Murderhorn, Springfield Gorge, Springfield Falls, Wildlife Refuge etc., I get them all. I almost bought Miss Mouse just for the hill, that one I resisted, until she comes back in a mystery box or with a rebate.
Really want Frankenstein and his bride but bit costly, will wait for the sib for it, I bought blinky and he doesn’t help in the event

First thing I bought! Multiplier bonus with premium event currency – it’s a no brainer! Love the look of it too.
Pass for now, we will see what else comes up.
Has anybody else noticed that the bonus from decorations in the bonus area does not really apply to the old ruins dig site (although it is showing in the bar and in the holy forge)? The bonus from the Flanders Family Tome does apply to the dig site, affecting fangs as well as incantations.
Curious if people would prioritize the gorge or the boat with character higher? I realize price is different so on like a per donut basis which is better value?
Nosferatu and the boat earn The same 180 fangs as the gorge. But also earn axes. But…it’s your call.
I always choose characters over decorations.

Anybody else’s game crashing when you tap minions in friend’s towns? I rebooted my phone and everything, it’s still happening. Checked for an app update, nada. Wondering if it’s just me?

I had this happen Friday night. I have Evil Homer and I believe that he had been bitten and was the hang up. I finally tapped on him to undue the curse and I was able to tap in friend’s towns without lockup. I am still having lag issues but excited about farming cottages. Also, SCREW FLANDERS
Until glitches are fixed, i ain’t purchasing anything. After today, will be deleting game for good.

I like it but wish it somehow melded with other tiles/areas a little more seamlessly. That would be hard though… I picked it up and am happy!

The dude on the boat is Vampire Count Orlok. The movie was a silent 1922 movie based on Dracula but they had to change the names so they wouldn’t be sued. You should watch it. It’s creepy and good!

Well it might be nice but I cannot get into the halloween store! I have stopping the game tried rebooting my device. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but nothing works. I have reported the bug to EA but have not had a response…..

My town will need a mayor redesign i think with all this new stuff coming.
Some of my neighbours have the gorge already but for the moment they didn’t really design around it
