Halloween is back in Springfield! Yes, the water is murky, the screen is slightly darker, monsters and minions are roaming our towns…is there anything better than Halloween in our pocket-sized towns? Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Cursed Ship and Nosferatu to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Vampire Combo to your town…
Building/Decoration: Cursed Ship
Character: Nosferatu
Donut Cost: 165 Donuts
Size: 5×15
Earns: 4.5% bonus on all cash and XP. Nosferatu also has a premium task to earn currency and pickaxes at the Holy Forge (this is the BEST task to send him on, as it’s is only one that earns Pickaxes)
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +200
Can Be Placed: Ocean Only
Leaves stores November 14th
Pros
-Comes with a questline
-Will help earn more prize track event currency
-Has a premium task to earn Pickaxes at Holy Forge (and event currency). One of the few characters this event that will
-Good bonus % for donuts spent, considering it comes with a character as well
-Ship is always animated
Cons
-Pricey for a one-off character
-His item is another ship for Springfield, I feel like we have a million ships in Springfield. Ocean’s getting crowded.
-Not voiced
Final Thought
Premium:
I like this pickup from a practical standpoint. (not so much for the character, he’s pretty u-g-l-y..and I really don’t need another darn ship) It’s a little pricey but still an ok price (15 donuts higher than the “new norm” at 150 donuts) and the ship offers a pretty good bonus. Plus Nosferatu will earn at a premium rate at the Holy Forge and that’s not nothing. Very few characters for this event will earn currency at the Holy Forge, and out of that even fewer will earn at a premium rate. So premium players, I think this is a good pickup.
Freemium:
For all of the reasons stated in the premium section, I think this is a good pickup for Freemium players too. However, donuts are usually more of a premium for Freemium players. So Freemium players should examine the character itself and determine if it’s someone you want in Springfield. If so pick him up, otherwise pass. BUT you DO NOT need him to successfully complete this event. I’m well ahead of the calendar and have not purchased him yet.
Farmers:
What do you care what I think in the Final Thought section? You’re going to buy it anyway… 😉
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’ll likely pick this one up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now). Also, since this is an item that helps with the event, it’s better to pick this up sooner rather than later if you plan to grab it. This way you maximize the event currency earning throughout the entire event.

I agree with the con about the ocean getting crowded, and I haven’t even unlocked half of the ocean sections in the whole time that I have been playing the game. i know that the ocean sections extend to the same length as the dry land section, but, even though the ocean is that long by 3 sections wide, I still don’t think the ocean is big enough for all of the buildings/decorations that can be placed on the ocean. I want EA to make monorail tracks and, at least, one monorail station that can be placed on the ocean, plus at least two buildings/decorations (at least one for the regular beach, and one for the Springfield Heights beach) that serve as connecting point hubs for connecting the ocean monorail tracks to the dry land monorail tracks. The question on my mind is: “if EA does decide to do what I want them to do regarding my monorail idea mentioned above, will the ocean at its current maximum size, still be big enough to accomodate my idea and all of the possibilities that come with my idea?”. In my opinion, the answer to that question is: “probably not”.
The point that I’m trying make is that EA needs to make the ocean bigger if they are going to keep giving us new buildings/decorations that can only be placed on the ocean.
I don’t really count flags in the breeze as animation… he’s alright since he helps with the event, but I would definitely pass if u are a non farming freemium player unless u r worried about getting behind on the event which with all the glitches is possible:(… My besty even lost Homer, and although he got him back he currently can’t unlock the shrubs in the crafting…
Despite feeling that vampires (and zombies) have become so cliché in mass media these days (and I usually pass on anything that features either one of them), I bought this one immediately for the classic film reference (and I had the donuts for it). My only disappointment about the decision is that the ship doesn’t do anything. I didn’t finish his quest yet because I just having him grinding with the others earning pickaxes now. I’ll probably finish it at the closure of the event.
I love him, I think the ship is really cool (though i wish we could put it in regular water tiles, not just ocean but what are ya gonna do) and since I already have Dracula it seems fair to include the original as well.

Don’t expect much from the Cursed Ship! EA tends to send any Springfield Character related to the ocean with a Task at the Squidport Entrance vs their Ship ( because their lazy programmers? I dunno, pick your own answer (lol)!
Nosferatu has the funniest dialogue (for me so far), and the extra help forging Pickaxes / earning Crafting Currency makes up for him not being voiced (well, Dracula, or Countess Dracula, aren’t voiced – and it’s kinda stupid that EA didn’t allow for Dracula to help earn Pickaxes / Crafting Currency, too!)

Fully agreed, I don’t need another ship and the character doesn’t do much for me. Tasks don’t look very interesting, so I’ll pass. (Just cuz I have the donuts doesn’t mean I have to spend ‘em.)
Has anyone noticed that moleman has a walking robot skin? Is this new to the event or how to you unlock it?
It is a full character, you could buy it from the store last spring for about 10€ (EU price) as far as I remember.
Wait, what? No I haven’t noticed, I’ll have to look for that! It would be nice to have something new for him. 🙂

I think the ship would look good with the wrecked ship if that gets offered again for a reasonable price.
Is it worth buying the Frankenstein package, you think they’ll earn currency, are they npc? What about Marge and her ghost outfit, if I change her to that will she earn more, what about all the other Halloween characters I’ve got from past great events, reckon they’ll earn these even tokens? Doesn’t seem like any of the old Halloween characters or skins have any earning potential in this event. Was surprised that even Dracula is not an event currency earner…oh well. 🧛♂️👎💰
I bought the Frankenstein package.
Good deal I thought, two characters @ a castle with great animation. Downside is they do not earn event currency but who knows in the future perhaps.

I think Boobarella is already in some tapper’s vaults, so chances are you will see her soon. Haven’t heard anything about Maude.🎃

Castles and ships are hard to resist for me. I might pass on the Frankensteins but the ship….. I couldn’t resist. I tried to stop myself because I’ve got the other ones as well and I tried to tell myself, I didn’t need yet another ship…. I failed 😉
My flanders family tome has glitched back to level 2, losing all my bonus percentage, incantation total remains the same. I have hard closed the game, restarted the device and cleared the cache too. Any other ideas to restore it ?
I’m sure you’re talking to the super farmers here and not those of us that make around 12-17 (depending on the monorail) a day, but for whatever it’s worth I always read and consider these posts. Sometimes I decide I like the look of the character and buy it anyway, but I always want to know if it’s actually worth it or if you think there’s something more deserving of our donuts.
It was more just joke towards those few players that tell me they bought it because they’re farmers
All the THoH stuff is missing from my store, it was there this morning. Also my crafting stuff is all messed up some stuff that should be unlocked isn’t.
I have the same problem..Has anyone any idea how to fix this? I even uninstalled and then re-installed the game, but the issue still persists.
Also having some glitches. Items were in the store at the beginning of the event but are gone now.
I got it because I liked the ship, the bonus% is decent and the character was useful. But mostly for the ship:) I’m not a big horror movie fan.

I can live with the ship, but still can’t store the drive-in and comics store from the last mini event. Keep getting the “sorry, hoarder” message when I try to get rid of them…somebody at Ea is asleep at the wheel. 👿
