Should I Spend Donuts On Tongue-Kiss Point?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Halloween is back in Springfield!  Yes, the water is murky, the screen is slightly darker, monsters and minions are roaming our towns…is there anything better than Halloween in our pocket-sized towns?  Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Tongue-Kiss Point to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this makeout hotspot to your town…

Building/Decoration: Tongue-Kiss Point
Donut Cost: 55 Donuts
Size:
11×12
Earns:
3% bonus on all cash and XP.
Conform-O-Meter:
Vanity +200
Can Be Placed:
grass|dirt

Leaves stores November 15th

Pros
-Comes with a short questline
-Good Bonus % for donuts spent
-Animated when in use, red car shows shadows and gets “a rockin'” (so don’t go knockin’)
-Homer has a task there to earn event currency, however, it doesn’t earn pickaxes so continue to send him to the Holy Forge instead.

Cons
-Large footprint for Springfield.

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
I like this one.  It’s a good price, has a good bonus % and, while it has a large footprint, the design works well in Springfield. I say if you like it grab it, otherwise pass.  (Not a must buy, but a good buy)

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’ll likely pick this one up.  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at the questline it comes with…

Tongue-Kiss Point Pt. 1
Auto starts

Homer: Oh Marge, I’ve hired a babysitter.  How would you like to sneak off to Tongue-Kiss Point with me
Marge: That’s very romantic!  We haven’t been there since we were kids.
Homer: Oh, *I* have.
Marge: Homer Simpson, what have you been up to?!
Homer: Come with me and find out…
Reach Level 15 and Build Moe’s Tavern
Make Homer Sneak Out to Tongue-Kiss Point With
Marge– 4hrs, Earns 360 Event Currency, 140xp
Marge: Homer Simpson, what do you have in that bag.
Homer: *chuckles* Used batteries. I’ve been coming out to Tongue-Kiss Point and dumping them over the edge.
Marge: That’s terrible!
Homer: Well I can’t throw them in the trash!

Tongue-Kiss Point Pt. 2
Marge starts

Marge: Gee, it’s funny how there’s only old-timers parked here at Tongue-Kiss Point. I guess kids are having their coy flirtations elsewhere.
Homer: Oh yeah, coy flirtations.  That’s what the kids are doing.
Marge: Oh my God, is that my mother in that parked car with Mr. Burns?
Burns: Well, Simpson, what are you staring at?  We old cats still like our saucer of cream.
Make Homer Get Tongue-Tied With Embarrassment- 4hrs, Earns 180 Event Currency, 70xp
Marge: Homer, why are you so upset that Mr. Burns is going out with my mother?
Homer: Just think.  What if they get married?  Then I’d be his son-in-law. Then he’d probably promote me to some big-shot job in the head office. And then I’d have to actually do some work!

What are your thoughts on Tongue-Kiss Point?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield? Did you already?  Why or why not?  Where have you placed it in your town?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I bought it right away because of the bonus percentage.

  2. Tongue-Kiss Point 😅

If I find space for this? Then chances are I will spend the sprinkles when it comes back (just like everything else that gets introduced for only 6 days during an Event comes back in the final week). 👍

  3. I bought this right away. I LOVE it.. but I haven’t done the quest line yet because I’ve got Homer busy making pick axes. I just kind of put it over on the side for now, but have some ideas how I’m going to incorporate it in my town later. Great bonus, and super cute.

  4. not me, I’m still saving for the boat

  5. I agree it’s a fair price, so I bought it. I’m not overwhelmed by it tho, maybe if i can fit it in somewhere….

  6. Off subject, but is anyone having trouble tapping/clearing the monster minions? Sometimes the tap doesn’t clear them! Does this on both my IPad & IPhone, so it’s not trouble with my device.

    • Yup, I initially thought I had a desynced part of my phone and was worried, but knowing it just a thing that’s happening with this event relieves me. This only started happening to me after the most recent patch was downloaded.

    • I’m also having trouble clearing monsters, but I can “cleanse” them when the tome refreshes….not sure that helps…

    • I encountered a bug where I could tap one minion that wouldn’t clear for like a 100 hundred times. It also payed out every time I tapped it. Too bad it was a one time thing (for now)!

    • I had a few issues and my adult son has had alot of issues with the event and we both have the exact phone. So it is not the device causing the problem as they have suggested. I have my small problems fixed today and he finally got his event store back which is a start.

  7. I bought it and regret it. Mainly for one reason: It is colored in a strange muddy green and does not blend in with the regular meadow green. Why did they have to do that??

  8. Hey I don’t know if anyone else is having the same problem but it won’t let me tap the monsters to turn them back…..also even time I dig and I find the sword it freezes. Anyone know if this is getting sorted or not?? It’s never happened to me before the whole time I’ve played the game

  9. I am sorry I know this post don’t go here but I have count grandpa just lucky I guess but my question should I keep digging or save for phase 2 I am posting here just because this is the latest post and if others get same question and have read all other post they will know what is best to do. Thank you

    • You still need to unlock the countess. Dig until you’ve finished the prize track then save

      • Thank you

      • Thanks Alissa – do you know if additional pickaxes (over and above 90) will carry over to Act II?

        • One strategy would be to save up the pick axes after you have got to 90, continue tapping monsters and try to get as close to the end of (or actually complete) Act 1 as possible. Between today and next Wednesday when Act 1 ends you don’t know how many monsters you will tap on, but by Tues night next week you will know how much you have to go, then you can use the saved pickaxes for whatever is needed to get over the line.
One counterpoint to this strategy is you will be moving slower on the Flanders Tome than if you used the pickaxes when you get them, thereby maybe not tapping as many monsters as you could.
Similarly with crafting you will be moving slower, which will give you a lower bonus which will make it slower to get to the end of Act 1. I would check if you are ahead or behind the calendar and if you are behind use all the pickaxes, if you are a long way ahead you can probably slow down and save for Act 2

          • I don’t understand this … once you reach 90 pickaxes there is nothing else to apply them to in this Act.

            • Sorry, I was referring to the relics not the pickaxes – apologies for my confusion. My question should have been ‘Will additional relics carry over to the next Act.”

              • Any relic over the amount to getting count grandpa isn’t being added up anywhere so i don’t see how they would carry over. I keeping digging for the event currency and crafting currency. Once i get the countess, then, I’ll probably save pick axes for the next act.

              • 🤘😊👍

              • If you click on the Old Ruin Relic Prizes tab, the total # of relics shows there. I currently have 103 – that’s why I was wondering if they carried over.

              • Oh yeah, i see that now. Hmmm. Good question, then. But i am still guessing they won’t apply to anything.

        • Would love to know this as well.

I’ve been saving pick axes since reaching the 90 Relics for event 1. If I know Relics continue to carry over I’d continue digging to increase my Tome level.

Currently 185 pickaxes so it doesn’t max out at 50 like in the Toaster event.

    • I’m saving…I only have 2 prizes to earn on the prize track. I would say save unless you absolutely have to use them. Gives a good start on act 2.

  10. I bought it right away! It has a unique shape so when you place it in front of a pond, it looks like it hangs over a little. Plus, one of the smoochers in the car turns into a werewolf and escapes into the bushes when in use 🐺🧤👟

    • That’s half the reason I want to buy this ….. it just seems perfect for Act 2 (the werewolves)😀👍

  11. Meh! 😏

  12. It looks good paired with the drive-in-theatre

  13. I pulled the trigger as soon as I saw it for the price. I’m sure it becomes a permanent quest for Marge and Homer. But I still have them pulling fangs so I haven’t seen it in action yet.

  14. Thanks for the post Alissa ❤ I agree, it’s fairly priced. I bought it 😊
