It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Last week for Act 1 of the 2018 THOH event in Springfield, how are you doing with the Act 1 prize track? How far have you progressed? Will you be saving your daily challenges (starting Monday) to start Act 2?
The Simpsons are all new tonight, what are your thoughts on Season 30 so far? (3 episodes in)
And finally, how about the rest of your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting?

When you have Countess Dracula do the job that produces vampire minions, do those replace the random werewolves that would have spawned or are they in addition to the werewolves? I’m trying to figure out if it’s better to have her create minions vs. just doing the job that produces werewolf furs directly? Thanks!
After Act 1 her task is just a task, just to show the visual animation. However it doesn’t spawn minions for tapping purposes.
She’s spawning tappable minions for me still. When you set her to the task she’ll stalk a victim for 4-5 minutes and then turn them into a minion. I can tap on that minion and receive 40 werewolf furs and 1 incantation.
I keep forgetting to ask, who does the artwork for the TSTO Addicts header page? I believe its all the TSTO bloggers in Halloween costumes. Wow, really cool graphics!! Awesome artwork! I love the Red Riding Hood with the Tiny Addict and the even tinier Addict! OMG so cute! Great details!

I don’t know why but I love this update in particular. It’s probably that it just feels like home. I first got this game when I got my first Smart Phone and that was in the middle of the first Halloween event. But as my town (city) gets larger I wish more that there were some tweaks to older items. Like, it doesn’t feel right for my town to have a 9 tile zoo yet have Duff Stadium or Springfield Mall still be less than the size of 2 houses. I think a size adjustment option would be amazing for certain buildings at this point in the game.
I’m not complaining, just sharing a thought.
After much deliberation, knowing I’m not the quickest donut farmer, I’ve decided not to buy the boat and Dracula-ish person. I’m saving for a lot on Black Friday. Finishing the first act 2 days early helped me decide. Am I making the right choice? I only have 160 donuts
I think you’re being smart and conservative. Keep buying bonus % items at a discount and don’t worry about the “latest and greatest”. Within a year, you’ll be where you want to be with your bonus and you can buy whatever you like. You’ve made some really good progress in the last couple of months…keep it up👍🎃👍.

For the “Slick” questline discussed earlier, it would be helpful to have a list of all characters that are in the Kids subset. Not the various character groups (like “more kids”) but a laundry list of all kids. Has anyone compiled this list? Can I have it please? Thanks so much. Have fun tapping.

I hear that! However, I always thought Aril was a kid (because, height) and he isn’t allowed on this quest. There are too many characters for me to use visuals solely without names. I’m too linguistic. Same with the pessimists’ group; if I have to scroll around Springfield (or the character index) looking for characters that “look” pessimistic, then I may as well have their names too.

Someone said they have 43. I’d love to see that list because I pick up pretty much every kid offered and I have 29 eligible, 5 are working the forge though.
I can write up my list after I get home from work today.
All right my first count was off, I have 39 writing novels not 29, and Bart, Lisa and Milhouse at the forge for 42 eligible children total- pretty close to the other poster.

There are probably misspellings, couldn’t remember Brockman’s daughters name, my kids are still in there writing novels for another 3 hours so I didn’t check everything- at least I looked up Brendan’s name for you and fought auto correct all the way. Hope that helps.
PS. Once my kids completed the quest the first time, I had to catch them on the street and find their task to send them back.

I don’t have a list but I can tell you that I have ALL the characters and the total number that can do this task is 49 not including Bart, Milhouse and Lisa who are working on pick axes. 😊
Funny enough Adil Hoxa doesn’t count as a kid for this task. Perhaps that’s where Safi counted 53 not 52… 🤔
Any idea of the max pick-axes you can get? I have everything in Act 1 so saving all I can for Act 2. Right now I have 163 pick-axes and want to save all I can until Act 2 but they usually put a max on the amount you can have. Has anyone gotten over 200?

Forgot to save the Daily Challenge today – must be Monday !
Not too long ago, my worker elves lost their picture in the upper left hand corner for setting tasks. It just showed as an empty circle. I could see the elves just fine in the town, though.
Very recently, probably after a little update, the empty circle has been replaced by a picture of their boss Santa Claus. Santa still has his own image in his own task circle, but it is repeated for his elves.
Are other people seeing this, or am I just special?
I noticed that too, still no picture in my town.
Witness protection? Underground railway for escaping elves?🤔
Instead of the elves I get the Japanese Sumo Guy as their caricature in both my games. Weird, but I can live with that as the sumo bloke is always on a 24hr task, So I know it’s not him when the elves pop up for a reset.
