Turbo Tappin’ Halloween 2018: Act 2

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

There are two predictable events in TSTO every year, Halloween and Christmas.  They’re generally two events guaranteed to excite tappers and get everyone talking about TSTO.  This morning Act 2 arrived, with Werewolves and their silky smooth hair!

As was mentioned on the rundown post Act 2 of Halloween runs until, well, Halloween (10/31), and you’ll need to send 5 Springfielders on an 8hr task to get things started.

Now let’s work our way through the Werewolf bites of the Act 2 questline….

Ruff Welcome Pt. 1
Auto starts

Make Springfielders Be Unimpressed- x5. 8hrs, Earns $275, 70xp Freemium and $420, 105xp

Ruff Welcome Pt. 2
Flanders starts

Clear Monster Minions- x10.

Ruff Welcome Pt. 3
Homer starts

Unlock and Build BArking Good Butchery- 179,000

Ruff Welcome Pt. 4
Auto starts

Unlock She-Wolf- 287,000

Ruff Welcome Pt. 5
She-Wolf starts

Make She-Wolf Spin Her Defeat in Positive Terms- 8hrs, Earns 360, 70xp

(She-Wolf’s questline will also trigger here, by She-Wolf.  It’s called Monster Physique.  Be sure to finish Ruff Welcome first THEN work on her questline.  Doing so will allow you to trigger the Bonus Donut Rounds)

Whatever, Werewolves is the Bonus Donut Rounds AFTER you’ve completed the Ruff Welcome questline.  For every 25,000 you collect you’ll have a shot at 1, 2 or 3 donuts.

What are your initial thoughts on Act 2?  Werewolf change over? Thoughts on the dialogue so far?  Prizes?  Any items you’ve purchased? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

What will be the max bonus percentage in Act 3? It was 20 percent in Act 1 and 35 percent in Act 2. I would buy some additional items before the start of Act 3 to max out bonus from day 1.
And is it known, by any chance, how much the prices of the relic track will bring bonus wise? I plan to start Act 3 with 1000 shovels that I am saving for a couple of days now, so with an average of 6 shovels per game thanks to your amazing guides, I will be done on day 1 with that.
Thanks for the great blog and all the work you put into it, by the way!

  2. its taking forever to update the holy forge, is this just me? ive barely been able to craft anything bc I have to save up to do the next upgrade. any tips?

  3. Anyone else not able to create haunted crossroads? I have unlocked in in the prize track (I’m on the 3rd prize now) and upgraded the forge to level 5. The items unlocked from the dig site are available for crafting, but not the crossroads.

  4. minimalistonaut

Yesterday I did some digging up to the moment I could place the Offering Stone. Today I see the stone is locked again. Sounds familiar?

  5. Does anybody else have issues with this game taking a half hour to update? I’m running most gen hardware and it’s still 30 minutes to switch to act 2, etc.

  6. I started this event with 436 pick axes. lol. I’m still trying to find time to get through them all. Not complaining. Opening up the prize track fast

  7. Is anyone else having this problem? I woke up this morning and tapped for my axes. Then I went to cleanse my Springfield and a message stating there was nothing to cleanse/no wolfpeople in my city. How did I have have nothing to clear after 7 hours? PS. My daily challenge was for 4 ax jobs, unrelated to clearing my Springfield.

    • I had that happen to me a few days ago so I just assumed it was from my characters getting sent on tasks and they couldn’t get possessed.

    • The only way to see if the ‘tome’ is actually working is to look at your incantation count before and after you tap. The ‘no wolfs in your town’ message is notoriously false and means nothing, it’s just howling at the moon🐶🌕🐶.

    • It comes up after you click the cleanse button. Shows you got them all. Comes up every time unless some of your characters are possessed I believe. So maybe you just have never noticed it before. But I bet you earned event currency. If there happens to be some wolfpeople near the Tome you would see them get collected.
At the start of Act 1 there was defiantly an issue where it would come up yet still tappables to collect. But I think that is fixed.
And you don’t need to have characters available, Wolfpeople just populate in your town.

  8. When you reach the 35% bonus on the task, is there any point crafting more stuff until week 3 starts?

    • I don’t think upping the bonus by 5% really affects the number of pickaxes won, so I would say no. I was curious during the last act, so I did an experiment…I pulled all my bonus items into the highlighted area just before I pulled everyone out of the forge. It boosted the bonus by just under 5%, but there was no change in the number of pickaxes earned per person. If you want to craft something cuz you want it, go for it, but otherwise you might as well save your incantations for later.

  9. Nevermind, I see you have to hunt down the kids and send them back in. Disregard previous post. Thanks.

  10. I bought Tween Lit Inc. hoping to take advantage of the loophole of sending children in every 8 hours to earn extra furs. But once the first 3 came out it locked. I have Slick on a 12 hour task. Have I done something wrong or did EA shut it done to just 3 kids?

    • No idea, sounds like EA… but look around your town for kids and see if you can send them to their 8 hour tasks. Maybe you still can take advantage of the loophole

  11. I can’t get Ruff welcome part 2 to auto start.
I tried storing all my brown houses. Nothing. All of my Springfielders are free wandering around town after completing part 1. Quest for part 1 completed and gone from task book.

    Any suggestions? 😐

  12. The stupid crossroads doesn’t even match the color of the dirt. Why did they do that?

  13. Is anyone else weirded out by the fact that Adil Hoxha cannot write a novel?

I know he IS a kid, since he can jump in the bouncy castle… but he just won’t write a Novel for Tween Inc.

Bummer… he’s is the story I would most like to read

    • Adil looks like a kid to me but I guess EA is treating him as an adult in some cases I’ve found. If you have the Smooches on the Beach building with the 4 hour task he can overpay for sex on the beach. Think EA might want to take another look at that task and what characters can do it.

  14. 🌚

    🐕

    🌞💎 . See ya bye . 👽

  15. Dear EA:

Please stop making tasks for all Springfielders or stop having almost everyone count as a Springfielder or make it so I can send them from the Employment Office.

    Thank you.

    • NOE! Yuo vill THAP ALL Your charakturz.
Again and again! Over and over!
      HAHAHAHA!
      200 times, no convenience!
      – EA, probably

    • If you go to “initiate task” screen, I mean, quest little black window, you can start tapping them much faster. Do it right there, in the quest window. I click thru mine in under 1-2 minutes, well over 200 chars. But!
This will only work if your device is smooth and fast, like an iPad, it will be a pain at a Samsung galaxy s7, no good there :/
I hope that made sense, I really tried.

      • It helps somewhat but if you have characters in premium skins you have to watch out for them or it puts them in their basic skin which slows things down unless you don’t care about that.

      • That process works fine on my Galaxy S5

  16. Got the same glitch. Uninstalled the app and reinstalled, no help. Lots of donuts to be had though, went with the 5X multiplier too,

  17. Hm, I sent everyone to be unimpressed– and they were– and got the snippet of dialogue that follows… But Part 2 isn’t starting.

  18. sorry about all of the Grammatical errors, etc. Here’s a revised post:

Off topic, but of some important notice to some:

I discovered a beneficial (and annoying glitch today). It involves the werewolf character and his quest line. The glitch results in endless doughnuts (I kid you not).

The glitch occurred at the end of part 2 of the werewolf quest line “A howl of a night”. Part of this quest involves sending Springfielders on an 8 hour task (I can’t remember the name of the task. Something about struggling with something. All of the characters go to a brown house). At the end of the 8 hours I clicked on the thumbs up at the brown house all of the Springfielders who went there for the task. However- only about 76 of the characters “un-tasked” themselves. The rest remained hidden, and I couldn’t get them to finish the task, because there were no thumbs to click. I thought this was odd. So i exited the game and went back in. It was as if I had done nothing. All (76) thumbs were back. So I clicked them again.

Mind you- I have my XP collider turned on. So I was earning a ton of XP, and I was leveling up 2-3 times each time I clicked on the thumbs.

So I clicked all of the (76) thumbs, collected a ton of XP, and leveled up 2-3 times collecting the commensurate doughnuts each time I went back into the game.

I exited the game again. Went back in, and did it all over again. I could have done this endlessly, but I don’t really need the doughnuts (I’m a KEM farmer) and part 2 of the quest line wouldn’t complete. I had about 150 characters that wouldn’t come out of hiding in the brown house (as it were).

The only way out of the glitch was to clear all of the thumbs that were available to click, then put the brown house in question into storage. At that point, all of my characters became available again. I was able to complete part 2 of the quest line, and proceed to part 3.

Results may vary. I really don’t know if this was just me, or if it’s affecting everyone who has the werewolf character.

I ended up collecting about 45 free doughnuts, but like I said- I could have gone on endlessly collecting doughnuts.

  20. Grindor The Aged

Am I the only one who can’t tap minions in other towns?

    • I’ve had mixed results sometimes I’ve had to tap several times in friends world’s or even try different minions. I also keep getting booted of the server when visiting friends world’s.

      • Grindor The Aged

It appears something happened with the switch to Act 2, as minions are gone, but now I can’t tap on werewolves. Also, my Forge panel disappeared, but now it’s back, and the checks for all the crafted items I’ve created are gone. Never seen this before!

  21. This is a bit odd. Aside from the characters needed for other tasks and collecting pickaxes, I sent everyone to be unimpressed. Now that’s complete, but the task isn’t clearing and they all seem to be stuck in the brown house. Exiting the game or going to the visit friend screen and back lets me reclaim the reward, keeping the rewards from the previous time as well. So of course I bought a 24 hour XP boost and am collecting money and donuts.

Any chance storing the building would break the cycle when I get tired of this?

    • When you’re tired of collecting doughnuts, you can store the brown house and free everyone who was stuck inside. Make sure to clear all of the thumbs, then store the brown house. That will allow you to complete the quest line task. Worked for me.

      • Thanks for the confirmation! I was fairly certain that would do it and was really hoping that storing the brown house wouldn’t glitch and store all the characters in the brown house as well.

        • Nope, when you store a building it just dumps everybody inside (unless they were tied to it when you bought them).

    • Seems likely. Meanwhile, enjoy riding the money train💰😄👻.

  22. Ruff welcome glitch? I did the 8 hour task and I go to collect I get all the money and xp but I quit the game or leave the my town. I can connect the 8 hour task again and again. Also part 2 will not start.

  23. I am soon confused. I’m doing some quest line w/Lisa and Willy–“Head Shoulders, Knees and D’oh’s” I finished that 1st one you wrote about (send 5 Springfielders –8 hours) and that’s the following quest I got. I guess I’ll just wait it out and see what happens?!

  24. I’m excited to buy a ton of testicle trees, I heard they’re great for bonus percentage

  25. Mr werewolf is behind a pay wall 🙁 not cool EA

    • I hear they’re getting divorced anyway. Seems he sheds too much.

    • I have this weird need to always buy everything that completes families/relationships even thought I know they´re just charachters in a game. I´m still sitting there. But Krusty needs his dad!
I just don´t know if he´s worth it, but will likely pick him up.

And the mummy will probably be the same donout price…
