My Recommendation on Crafting Currency…
Should you save or should you spend?  Max out your Arrangement Bonus and reach level 7, then start hoarding your crafting currency for Act 3.  That way you can get a good start on the new craftables once Act 3 hits.  But make sure you reach Level 7 before you start saving since Level 7 is the first level required for Act 3 craftables.

So again…don’t kill yourself trying to get all this stuff.  Sometimes less is more. Craft what you have a use for in Springfield….

Hope that helps some of you who have been stressing out over crafting!

  1. The haunted crossroads is now locked in my list of craftable items with the levels maxed. Anyone else?

  2. I’ve unlocked everything so far, both crafting-wise and on the prize track, but yesterday, the Spooky Crossroad crafting item has the locked icon on it. It tells me that I need to unlock it on the prize track, but I’m waaaayyy past that.

Nothing I’ve tried will unlock it. Not a big loss, but I was thinking of possibly crafting another to put in the haunted section of town. Did this happen to anyone else?

  3. act2 craftables are mostly neat decorations, but i stick to crafting the transylvanian huts. fair bonus%, and combined with the very small footprint they serve as the perfect $/XP farm buildings, as i am a relatively new player (lvl47).

  4. You are always so crafty…

  5. I will craft till level 7, then wait for act 3. I have the feeling those prices will fit very well in my egyptian area
Act 2 prices are Meh, mayby i craft some more transylvanian stuff

  6. Rickety Bridge

My favorite Craftable in Act 2 👍
Cost wise (900 is cheap) Size wise (2 x 7, doesn’t take up real estate) Bonus wise (1.20% is fair) it seemed a better Craftable then anything else in Act 2 (the fact you can place it over roads, paths, water, etc is actually making this a fun way to decorate your Springfield)😀

  7. Not to fussed will wait till act 3 and see how my design is going

  8. I don’t really like how expensive the Crowds are as honestly I think they could be one of the more useful objects to a town to craft. But it seems they always want to be rather expensive with them.

    • Expensive to craft but with a lower percentage bonus. I don’t get it 🤷🏼‍♀️

    • I noticed that myself and I have a feeling EA did that because quite a few players like the crowds and wanted more added and looks like the cost to craft and the low % is to deter players from making them.

      • No, EA has a goal of making players play more often and long.
It is really surprising to me, that so many people don’t see the real reason behind someone’s actions.
You were right about 1 thing though. The crows IS a highly desirable item to many (including myself). The crowds are expensive because you need to put more time and effort and like it enough to craft it over a shalet.
If you play more often and longer, you are more likely to be more into the game of tsto in general.
Play more often to get more crafting currency to get more crowds. That is the bare truth behind it.
But the ultimate goal is get you hooked enough so that you start spending actual dollars on it. Hence the limited time offers, cash only characters, and whatever primitive marketing strategies they come up with.
That is why crowds are expensive with little bonus.

  9. I wish they would keep the bonuses in line with the cost. Why make crowds so expensive and then give them a low bonus to boot?

  10. Most items are uninspiring decorations that will be stored after the event. The repeats of items already received as prizes are especially naff. My strategy is to keep buying the chalets. They give a great arrangement bonus, earn game currency and will continue to do so after the event ends.

  11. The mod is by far my most desired crafting item. There’s so many design possibilities with crowds, and especially since these are facing the opposite directions than the other ones!

But I can’t justify buying them. The bonus % for the money spent is pitiful, and they’re so expensive I doubt I’ll be able to save up enough to buy more than 3-4 by the end of the event.

So many designs, so little time! =(

  12. I like the crowds the best as they can be placed on the cobblestone streets… but wow do they cost a lot! 😱

  13. If I have leftover currency after crafting one of everything, I’m going to hoard huge trees. I like that they can be used for a variety of designs.

    • I never completed the giant redwood quest…think I’ll use any leftover crafting currency at the end of Act 3 to get a grove of giant trees to surround the redwood and finally complete the quest.

  14. Thanks for the post Alissa ❤ I like only the rickety bridge so far, I think I’ll craft a lot of them

    • Same here. I’ve been crafting quite a few rickety bridges. A few more bridge variations in the future would be great.

      • The bridge is my favorite also. I’d really love an adjustable bridge to go over larger spans of water…one that would be tappable to choose which form of bridge you want (like the Iron Gate from a previous Halloween or the Homerlayas). Would love a suspension bridge that spans a double or triple width of water (I have a lot of rivers in my town).🎃

  15. I’m at a point were I don’t care about the craftbke items, but crafting items to get the most for my bang to up the bonus %.
Like most events & crafting lately, plop now to get the bonus, decorate & hide after the event.
