Another day, another event in Springfield as Halloween has fallen upon our pocket-sized towns! And it wouldn’t be an event without a Mystery Box, now would it? Of course EA’s go a box for this occasion! They have a box for everything! And we’ve finally stumbled onto the box full of Halloween items! Just in time for Halloween…
This is a premium box full of your chance to get those Halloween premium character/building/decorations you may have missed out on in the past. By now we should all be familiar with how Mystery Boxes work, so let’s jump to the breakdown of what’s inside…
This Mystery Box is a great way to get items at a discount or something you missed out on from a previous event.
And…if you already have everything in the box you won’t see the box in your store.
So for 50 donuts, you can have your shot at a variety of premium characters, decorations, and buildings from the Halloweens of the past. 50 Donuts is less than or equal to the initial value for each item. (unless it was a prize)

Now, while I know you can’t pick and choose which items you want from the box, I included the Should I Buy (or details) posts from the past so y’all can see how much they originally cost & what specifically each building/character does.
50 donuts is a MORE THAN fair price for most of the items at least. So my thoughts are, if you have something in there you want…give it a try. You’ll likely get something worth it. (even if most of the items were originally prizes, if they were to come back as premium items (which in some cases they have) they’d cost more than 50 donuts each)

After purchasing the mystery box I got the donut torture device to which I already had one. When I placed the device my previous device disappeared. After contacting EA about it. I’m left holding the back with one device and out of 50 donuts. Anyone else having this problem?
Does anybody know if Luanne is included with the Squirril costume if I don’t already have her or will the skin just appear in my inventory?

I didn’t have any of these items. Tried once & got Radioactive Milhouse…not one I was hoping for. Might try again at some point. Would love Luanne, Kirk or Marge.
has anyone else noticed the unclickable box in the task area? does anyone know what that is for? nothing comes up for me when i click on it.
I will save the donuts for whatever is coming up in act 3, then black friday coming up, and x-mas. For the moment, since i farm, but not as fanatic, i still KEM farm, while the real farmers use RTT, i have usually enough donuts to buy what i want
The serious donut-farmers use KEM’s – they are more efficient per-game-$$ spent.
It’s the lazy folks who do RTT. It’s faster.
I used to KEM-farm but once the bonus percentage gets high enough… game-cash efficiency is no longer important. That’s when time > game-cash and I just buy Bloodmobiles (fit more into a given empty space than RTT).
Oooh! So the nightmare pile is how some of you can have halloween costumes for kids! I think i have to try and get that. Except ugh, it’s gonna be quite the gamble. I have all of that stuff in the box and not enough donuts if it comes up last. Eeek! Crossing fingers!
Yes, but… when I got this recently (not during the original event) – it doesn’t send ALL kids trick or treating in their costumes – which (when I saw it in neighbors’ towns) was sooooo cute. But now, the nightmare pile only sends one kid at a time in costume and for me, that’s really disappointing. You have to manually select a kid and send them out. I wanted to send out all kids in costume every 4 hours during the halloween season but that’s never going to happen again. EA, it would be awesome if you fixed this! 😉

Hmmmmm no pony up here. I will keep on farming, just making a observation of ones mad stach of the sprinkles(whispering *mad sprinkles*)
As a premium player I’m prepared to buy any currency earning building or full character. But I’ve no interest in skins (characters can only do one thing at a time) or most decorations (they just sit there and fill precious real estate). Both my mystery boxes for this event only contain skins and decs, so no sale!
I haven’t bought any of them either. I have 5 things in my box and i’m interested in none
So many skins. (And only one I have any interest in.)
There are a couple things I kinda want, but it feels like too much of a gamble. Big “meh” from me.

Spent a large chunk of my sprinkles to finally get Acorn Kirk and Squirrel Luann. Totally worth it. I could watch Kirk getting chased by squirrels or Luann posing for hours. Yes, wrong, I know.
And yet…totally understandable. I did the same for the same reason!
If you’ve been playing since Halloween 2012, Devil Flanders was originally a prize. (And I can’t believe I’ve been playing that long, whoa)
Starting in 2015, you could buy the Marge witch skin & the cauldron separately-sometimes randomly in a Mystery Box. Before that, in 2012, buying the cauldron would result in receiving the skin when you went through the questline.
I achieved the cauldron and Witch Marge, but her questline didn’t Trigger…
Same with Devil Flanders. So I have the customes but not all task as they are subject to the questline/tasks… -.-*
I had everything in this box except acorn Kirk. I was on the fence about picking him up but I did just to have a premium skin for him. I’m all about maximizing my in game cash so I can have a surplus for rat trap truck farming when Black Friday hits. I am sitting at about 108mil right now, but I’ve been burning through donuts as usual for THOH. Hopefully my KEM farm will sustain me through the end of the event.
I had Willie, Milhouse, Kirk and the Sepulchre in my box. The last thing I wanted, Kirk costume 😝 is the first one I got. We’ll see if I throw another 50 at the Sepulchre.

Maybe more could’ve been added (ie Count Burns and Coffin)
Still , I appreciated the discounts in the Vault this month

I’m delighted to get the Sepulcher of Evil. It seriously wasn’t worth 225 donuts in the past. But it’s a cool decoration and looks good with some of the other demonic content from past events.
Also, this is one of the first boxes where I didn’t have most of the offered items. Other than past prizes, I only had 2 items that we offered. And picking up Luann and Kirk’s skins makes for a fun new quest line.

Same here! I got the cauldron last year thinking it would come with witch Marge and now that same disappointing cauldron is stopping me from getting witch Marge. I really want witch Marge 😔
Contact EA. Tell them you got the cauldron but no Marge and see if they’ll add her for you
