Halloween is back in Springfield! Yes, the water is murky, the screen is slightly darker, monsters and minions are roaming our towns…is there anything better than Halloween in our pocket-sized towns? Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Cursed Tomb and Mummy to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this mummified combo to your town…

Pros
-Comes with a questline
-Earns Pickaxes and event currency at Holy Forge (premium rate, so 3 pickaxes)
-Cursed Tomb is animated when in use (Tomb door opens, lights flicker)
Cons
-Not voiced
-It’s a Mummy, not exactly canon in Springfield (although what is these days…)
Final Thought
Premium:
Not a bad pickup for the event. His outdoor tasks are pretty funny and he’s helpful for the event itself (although who needs the help at this point?). Not a bad premium pickup.
Freemium:
Like many other characters with this event, this isn’t a bad pickup. It’s fairly standard for what we’ve seen. However, given the choice between the Mummy and Beatrice, I’d choose Beatrice. The Mummy isn’t a great fit in Springfield (aesthetically) and the tomb earns cash and XP..instead of a bonus %.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’ll likely be picking this one up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Just noticed but what is with the haunted crossroads? Says unlocks during act 2 level 4 but it never unlocked for me. I’ve got everything now and was looking to see what I wanted to craft more of and seen that I was never able to craft it.

Amenhotep and the Cursed Tomb
Nice to have a Building that generates XP and $ vs just Bonus % (the Pyramid isn’t too large) and sending Amenhotep (Mummy) on his Segway is a lol 😂

Picked him up since he is a classic monster and like I said before the classic monsters are a great addition to the town.
Even though not needing them for the event (though also not disliking being able to enjoy over one week of bonuts after finishing the Act 3 on Monday), I picked up both Amenhotep and Mr. Werewolf so that I have all three couples.
Off topic,but anyone else still having problems with their friends list dissapearing?
Same problem here. I think my Facebook friends are showing up, but my EA friends are gone…
I bought him solely because I had already bought Mister Werewolf. I felt it was only fair that all the monsters got their spouse.
Bought Beatrice to thought. If I had to chose I would also pick Beatrice over him.
This was my logic as well, plus once you finish the prize track it finishes the little character collection, so there’s that. But definitely, if I was going to only get one, Beatrice is the better deal.

I unlocked Mama Mummy this morning, but I won’t be picking up Papa Mummy. Time to get caught up on my level quests. I still have to finish level 22 and half my level 30s. Why does every quest use Bart, Homer, and Lisa? That’s what I get for leaving the game for a while, forgetting my password, and not having access to the email account associated with my EA account. But I am having fun with my new town.
I took him, indeed he is not not really needed for the event (not at all in fact, I finished sunday morning) but i like the couples. I go on slow right now, just earning some crafting prices for my Egyptian area, but for now i consider this a break.
Wouldn’t it be nice of some, or all of the Monster Couples had a task with their spouse? Or at the least, a group task that mimics the episode. A missed opportunity.
