Should I Spend Donuts On Bob’s Big Buddha?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

New holiday alert in Springfield! Yes, it’s time to break out your stretchy pants as Thanksgiving is fast approaching for our favorite yellow family!  Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Bob’s Big Buddha to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Buddha hotspot to your town…

Pros
-Reasonably Priced
-Comes with a multi-part questline (centered around Sideshow Bob)
-Premium permanent tasks for Bart and Lisa (4hrs)
-Animated when in use

Cons
-Just a building, no characters with it
-More expensive than the Escape Zone, and a bit bigger too.

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
Not a bad pickup, no matter what your player status is.  If you like it, grab it…otherwise pass.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I’ll likely pick this one up.  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

What are your thoughts on Bob’s Big Buddha?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield? Did you already?  Why or why not?  Where have you placed it in your town?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I’m passing on all the thanksgiving items since the Black Friday deals are close and the fact that the buildings are giving 4 hour tasks to characters who have so many other 4 hour tasks at other buildings makes them all a pass. I have been designing a district in my town for Chinese and Japanese restaurants (CR & JR) and I need another CR since I have 2 CRs and 3 JRs but I would like to get the Chinese Restaurant itself from last Christmas so I hope it will return on Black Friday or at Christmas so I can add it to my district.

  2. I love the building and will buy it later. Not to give any spoilers, but I have seen elsewhere what is coming up next and saving donuts for that currently :-O

  3. Another 4 hour task… Someone here was counting the number of character since the last character with a visual 24 hour job (sorry, I forgot who it was, if anyone knows, please mention them 🙂 ). Maybe it’s time to make something similar for building with other than 4 hour permanent jobs for our characters… (no job doesn’t count)

  4. Bob’s Big Buddha

It is a big Building, should have come with a free Land Token (you listening EA? bundle Building with a Land Token!) and I think this should’ve been a Building where all the Adults get an 8 Hour Task vs same 1 to 2 Characters do a 4 Hour Task (guess I’m saving my sprinkles for December) 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • That’s a great idea…I’d pay an extra 20 donuts for a building/land package…seems like a no-brainer.👍😁

    • Anything for more land. In trying to decorate. I like things out of storage because I just look at stuff until things come together. But trying to put things together….you know those games (non electronic) where there’s a broken up picture all jumbled up with one open space and you have to slide the pieces together until they all fit together? It’s a pain.

  5. Are Lisa and Bart the only characters with permanent tasks there?

  6. Stevie Joe Dagnello

Hmmm… I wonder if I get this, will I finally get Sideshow Bob? Been tapping since Around The World event and still no Bob.

    • If you don’t have SB, try catching him around the Sprawl Mart in your 2nd Springfield as often as you can…then you are more likely to get his questline(s) in your 1st Springfield which will finally unlock him.
      Good luck!

      • Btw you can often catch him in SF 2 even if there is nothing left to tap, I mean when you have already tapped 3 buildings in 24 hours.

      • I have to have two springfields to get sideshow bob? Do i understand that right?

        • Everyone has two Springfields…Just click on the friends button, go to your 2nd Springfield and try to catch Sideshow Bob as often as you can (near the Sprawl Mart).
It definitely inceases the chance of getting another part of his questline in your main Springfield.

  7. I like it’s look, it comes with a complete questline, and I like Sideshow Bob. Took ages to get him, and I’ m happy he has some new tasks to do now. So, it was a no brainer for me, immediately bought it..but I also have to say, I’m a farmer…😉

  8. Con There is no land left. I had to store 5 candy canes to hide it behind other buildings. EA..we need more freaking land!!!!

  9. Interesting, colorful building. Will have to think on this one. Thanks for the write up. Always appreciated!
