Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
It’s that time…calling all Springfield designers! We’re getting ready to do the next Springfield Showoff featuring your Treehouse of Horror (Halloween) and/or Thanksgiving inspired designs! So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
I was reminded over the weekend that we forgot to do a showoff for Halloween, so no better time than the present to make up for it! This time, since we’re smack dab in the Thanksgiving mini-event, I thought we should combine the showoff to include all of your fall holidays..Thanksgiving and Halloween! I want to see what you’ve done with all that stuff! Because who doesn’t like seeing what others have done with all this new stuff?! So send us your Halloween and/or Thanksgiving inspired designs and we’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs on Wednesday, November 28th….so you’ve got a week to prep your towns. Take your time, design as you see fit and send us the designs when you’re ready.
So work on those designs and send us some screenshots when you’re ready…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm ET Tuesday, November 27th, 2018. Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.
You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us. If you email them please mark the subject with at least the word Showoff, otherwise, I might miss it.
Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂

Here’s my Halloween and thanksgiving designs that I have done. I only included mainly Act 1 items from Halloween since I stored most of my Act 2 items and I put the Act 3 ones in my Egypt area which is still a work in progress, it was also my favourite act of the event.

I wish I’d taken my Halloween screenshots when the water was gooey green. It provided much more ambiance.
How do you post screenshots on here?
I couldn’t figure it out either. I always do a Thanksgiving parade in my Springfield. I sent a couple of pics to the email address.
If you post a picture on Imgur, you can copy the page address at the top of the page and then include it as a link (just paste the address) in your comment…the moderators will place the picture when they approve your comment. 😁

the mystery boxes haven’t shown up in my game – do I need to do the mini-event to trigger it? thanks, happy thanksgiving
no they just kind of start up. Try hard closing. If that doesn’t help uninstall/reinstall
I’ve been in contact with EA all day and . . . there’s nothing they can do to force the mystery boxes to show up in my game. if I try to trigger it by starting the mini-event, will I be able to finish the questline past the 28th? thank you again!
Honestly, I don’t know. Sometimes, if you’ve started it, you can finish the questline post mini-event but sometimes you can’t. So I honestly am not sure what will happen in your case.
