Well, it was teased (by accident) a few weeks ago…
And yesterday we received the App Store update that brought snow to Springfield! (if you haven’t downloaded it, do so. But remember it’s MASSIVE. So make sure you’re on WiFi)
And now it’s time! It’s officially 10am here on the East Coast which, in the words of Elsa, means “Let the holidays begin!” If I had a Yule Bell I’d ring it… (sorry Riley’s been watching A LOT of Olaf’s Frozen Adventure these days…)
Things will kick off with an AUTOMATIC dialog start with the Simpson family…
I’m working my way through this, and will continuously be updating this post. So continue to refresh and check back for new details. Once the post is completely updated i’ll add (Updated and Complete) to the title.

Marge: Homer! The Krusty Kristmas Special is starting, and we can’t get the new TV to work.
Homer: Switch to HDMI 2. Or HDMI 5. It’s one of those.
Bart: We tried both! You set up the TV wrong, genius.
Homer: Aren’t you kids supposed to be good with technology? That’s the whole point of us making you.
Lisa: This TV uses apps, right? Maybe if I download one…
Homer: For the love of God, don’t!
Lisa: “Downloading. Time remaining: one hour, fifty-three minutes.” Ew, boy.
Bart: Homer set up the Internet wrong.
Homer: It’s not my fault! I never asked to live in a smart home, surrounded by a million fragile devices I can’t, and/or won’t, learn to set up.
Marge: Well, who needs TV? Maybe we can sit around and tell each other Christmas stories.
Homer: … Let’s try HDMI 4. That might work…
Marge: Who wants to go first?
And just like “the old days”…when the TV goes out you tell stories! The first story is told by Lisa. And this is presented by the 6s task she’ll have to tell a Christmas Story…
Lisa: Once there was an old billionaire who loved nothing but money, and thought Christmas was a humbug.
Homer: Wait. Is this a take on “A Christmas Carol”?
Lisa: Well, I’m going to update it. I’ll make Mr. Burns the lead, and have all the ghosts and side characters played by Springfield regulars.
Homer: Lisa, sweetie, if Daddy has to sit through one more adaptation of “A Christmas Carol”, Daddy will blow his brains all over the wall. You don’t want that for Daddy, do you?
Lisa: Not really, no.
Homer: Then let’s all agree, as a society, that “A Christmas Carol” is a lemon that’s been squeezed dry. It’s given up everything it has to offer, and should be fed into the disposal and obliterated from memory.
Lisa: Fine. I’ll tell a different story.
Homer: Atta girl. And just a warning: at the mention of ghost one, or anything resembling a Tiny Tim, I run screaming from the room. ‘Kay? Great.
After you complete the 6s task you’ll jump into Lisa’s story (Christmas Pagent) and you’ll have to complete a 4hr task for Lisa, Milhouse and Ralph (assuming you’ve unlocked him).

Well guys, as some of you have pointed out…this appears to be 4 mini-events all about Christmas. In that, the prizes follow the same questline format to unlock as our regular mini-events do.
This is not your typical Major Event. And there are pros and cons to that, and everyone will find their own pros and cons.
However, let’s keep in mind…this is 4 weeks. It’s Christmas, the busy season. This should be fairly easy to complete. You’ll unlock 20 new prizes. No crafting to grind through. Just have some good old fashioned TSTO fun. And, as long as you don’t rush things, you won’t get bored because it’ll change each week!
Now let’s talk about what’s included…
As mentioned above you’ll kick things off the a 6s task for Lisa followed by a 4hr task for Lisa, Milhouse and Ralph (if you have him). Once you complete that you’ll trigger the prize track questline for Part 1.

I will tell you, there are icons for this event that show bonus donuts available for all size donut purchases (from a box to a boatload), however, my game only has options for bonus donuts with a Box, A Tray and a Store Full. Not sure if this is the case for everyone, or if it’s different for those of us who regularly spend donuts (ie if we’re getting the shaft again).
As expected in the era of Donut Farming, there is a TON of content with this event that is premium.
We’ll be seeing a Gil Deal (Dec. 12th), two Mystery Boxes (one is live now, the other goes live on Dec. 19th), and a variety of premium items (new and returning) hitting our games regularly throughout the next 4 weeks.

Lol. I’ve got so much unused land right now that I didn’t even notice.
I’m a bit underwhelmed to be honest. I’ve been trying to get back into the game for a while now. I didn’t think it would happen, but it seems that after +3 years I am getting TSTO fatigue. I like the acrobat guy, and Angel Lisa, but most of the prizes and objects to buy just don’t make me very enthusiastic. I hope the other acts are more fun.

How much bonus % is in the Christmas market bundle it’s the only one I would buy just for the Ferris wheel ⛄⛄⛄
I think it was about 3 %. Some good items in that one, glad I stumped up for it.
I wasted 50 donuts on the other bundle though.Should have looked closer, I had most of the stuff already, just decorations & a very small % increase.

The one with the reindeer give 4% bonus. The one with the bells and columns give 1.25% bonus. The one with the wheel give 2.5% bonus.

I had Santa for the longest time and now I can’t find him in my 220 characters. Does he disappear for some reason? Are they hiding him until later in the event? Anyone else missing their Santa?
Maybe you stored him? If he doesn’t show up in the character part of your inventory, scroll all the way to the right in your main inventory. Sometimes EA forgets to categorize characters as such.

Here is my suggestion: Check Town Hall for Santa, if not there then (1) Clear some space if needed (2) Bring out of inventory every building you can (3) Check Town Hall for Santa, if not there then (4) group store previous buildings and repeat with new buildings.
I CONTACTED EA, THEY PUT SANTA IN MY INVENTORY, ABOVE HIM SAID (ERROR) SO I CLICKED USE. GAME PANNED TO MY SPRINGFIELD HEIGHTS , ACTED LIKE IT ADDED HIM, BUT HE DIDNT APPEAR. WENT TO CITY HALL, NO SANTA LISTED. IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS ISSUE? IS YOUR SANTA IN YOUR TOWN?
Come to think of it I used to have him as well and just checked and it’s not there either.
and like every event for the past year since christmas 2017 i cannot login for a week before any event and it lasts until 3-4 days into the first week. i’ve done everything; reinstalling the game, updating the phone, changing password, freezing up more memory than the already 36gb i have free & still no reply from ea whatsoever on when they’re finally if ever going to stop this login error. i didn’t bother with halloween because the error lasted into the second week with 2 days left so i’m probably not going to bother with christmas. it is though in fairness, an absolute joke that for a year this bug hasn’t been fixed
just curious, have you tried starting a new game, either anonymous or with another email, to see if the problem is with your device or their system?
I love the dialog boxes with the holly. I think it’s really festive. I love the snow. I’m glad it’s a simple brainless event. I love characters. I wish they would bring back gift exchange but this is a nice low key event.
I can’t download this till friday evening because I won’t have wifi back till then. I feel much much grinding is in my future. 😛 Having said that, I do have a decent data plan, does anyone know how big the update actually is?

Most of that is in the snow, certainly not the event itself !!!
I hope it gets better than it is so far, as it filled up my device storage… so little to it for such a MassivE download 🙁 if it tries to update again I’m sunk. I haven’t the room, and as it is I already have to uninstall and reinstall every update, but then it has more updates on top of that! these updates are way too big!!!!…. the game hasn’t been nearly as fun, and way more glitchy since they screwed up Krustyland…. my Krustyland was awesome, but now it’s lame….
And I miss old school crafting where it was so cheap and easy that you could get like 100+ things if you wanted… I wanted soooo much more of the Halloween stuff but they were too stingy with the crafting currency….

considering giving into the 900 bundle – are the extra donuts worth it? or should I hold out for better deals to come? Fairly new tapper but started getting into premium content on Black Friday and like the idea of another mystery box.
Strange but in my game I don’t see any dates for the individual acts ending ?
Also I get the relaxed bit & the lack of grinding but would of liked just a bit more to do.
Seems like they all end Jan 2. Maybe they’re being generous not making it into acts since they dumped crafting.

I, ‘m happy with the mini game concept. The only thing i do not undertaind, why always te same task again en again. It is not creatif at all. Let them do different things in a row for programs. Maybe some act for the circus or something like it.

Seriously the amount of memory that would take would make this unbearably slow 20 different tasks for 10 different characters polls the premium ones on top of the unique tasks per event. Its not like your gpu or processor gets an upgrade every time your app does. 🙂

I’m kind of disappointed this is nothing more then a series of mini-events.
I actually like this style for the christmas event. Real life is quite busy at this time of the year, so a relaxing event is very welcome.
There was a lot of complaining about the 3 act and crafting events and people wanted something different. This is something different and the complaining goes on. If you don’t like the event, stop playing. Life is too short to get angry about a game.
i hope in the other eeeks are also 3 land tokens, then we get 12 overall, what‘s not so much i like to have, but still nice to expand…

I’m kind of liking how I don’t have to craft a craft to craft a crafty craft craft.
other than the odd “craft a blank” quest when have you HAD to craft anything? I liked that about the ceafting. if you did not want to do it, you did not have to.
With bonus areas you had to craft to increase you bonus%. If you didn’t you wouldn’t be able to complete prize tracks. There have been other times but that’s the most recent example
Anyone else having a weird glitch with Burns’ Water Baron Mansion? In both my games, I can only see partial images. So far no other building or decorations are affected.
So much creative content coming up, too bad I’m reaching my item limit so I cannot use them. I’ve already been suffering lag and shutdown of my game numerous times during the past year.
I’m looking forward to obtaining a lot of the returning content because a lot of the new characters are one-off characters I don’t recognize or care for. I am looking forward to getting the younger versions of four classic characters though.
We nEAd another way to purchase land. I’ve purchased all I can with in-game cash and I’ve used all my tokens. The problem is, we’re doled out one lousy tile at a time. I’ve been waiting to get a large enough plot of land to rearrange some of the new content since the destruction of Krustyland. I’d like to combine my two large Halloween areas and expand my already immense Christmas area to include new content. Give us the patch of land above Springfield Heights EA! As it is, most of the new content will go straight to storage or to any open space of land which are getting smaller and less available. My Krustyland is still not designed properly. I have too many things to move around and nowhere to go with them.
Still, the best item to come from Christmas this year is, and will remain, Ms. Claws. Merry Hissmas!

Yes I’ve got the Burns Water Barron Masion glitch too. It’s also affecting the Wet N Wacky World sign which is missing one of the uprights.

My method: Group Store chunks, mark area with pavement, redesign, then replace pavement with stored chunks. Friend me if you want.
I finished my KL and ISL by mixing and matching elements. ISL is more Itchy & Scratchy focused, while KL is more like a theme park.
Most of my redesigns are tighter, smaller, or generally flow better visually.
I’m mildly disappointed with the lack of new land allotment, as I had already earmarked that extra space for the remaining Halloween event decorations, and hoped to put the Christmas stuff where my Halloween stuff is now, but that’s really my only complaint. And 3 land tokens in a week isn’t too shabby either.
Wooow… SOOO MANY… Complainers. I’m glad the snow’s back. Not big on the event so far (I like crafting) but will see how it progresses. I have most old content so I’m not overloaded with choices. Guess I have time to design.
I was dreading the usually dull grinding event. So this is something that I am going to enjoy.
