Grab your Santa hats and break out the tinsel because it’s Christmas time in Springfield! Yes the annual TSTO Christmas event has arrived in our pocket-sized towns, covering our usual perfect weather towns with a fresh blanket of bright, white, snow! Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Yarn Barn and Kathy from personnel to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this knitting duo to your town…
Building/Decoration: Yarn Barn
Character: Kathy from Personnel
Donut Cost: 175 Donuts
Size: 4×6

Pros
-Helps with the event, earns a premium rate

-Pricey for a character/building combo…even by today’s standards (although i can tell you this seems to be a “new norm” with this event. Based on what’s still incoming)
Final Thought
Premium:
A minor character from a fairly classic Simpsons Christmas episode (Tis the Fifteenth Season), who is just hilarious. She’ll help with the event (but only Act 1 from what I can see) and it’s another character/building combo. Not a bad pickup if you have the donuts.
Freemium:
I’d pass on Kathy and save your donuts for some more classic characters coming down the line. They’ll be better donut investments in the coming weeks for sure.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I already picked it up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Kathy and the Yarn Barn
If I pass on this Character Building Combo? It’s because EA dropped two new Buildings today (both generate Event Currency, both are under 70 🍩 ‘s in price, both will generate twice the Event Currency than Kathy and the Yarn Barn for 40 🍩’s less!)
Still impressed by the Premiums available, but these time constraint ones? They’ll be back before the Event is over (lol, EA wants you to spend sprinkles and I’m Kem Farming for the goods, but no impulse buys!) 🎄⛄😂

I work with yarn so I just had to have the building.
I would have loved to buy it so that Burns could have a relative in the game but we’ll have good stuff later for sure so I must keep my donuts.

I wonder if EA is slowly raising the prices to test if players still purchase these combos. I think I will skip this one, the cost seems a little too steep for a character that helps for only one act.

Why are all the jobs taking place in the brown house? Sad face.
That’s the default. If you don’t have the other buildings (lower level players) the task defaults there
I mean, I’m a freemium player and I don’t farm, but I have been playing for like four years and have every freemium building. Are your characters going to tasks in other locations?
Not really feeling the Yarn Barn. Going to wait for (hopefully) something better. Also, how can I get more friends. Feedback would be helpful. Thank you.

My 1st thought was it’s a skin for Burns….I don’t remember seeing this character along the way. So many episodes…so many little characters!!
I’m an avid knitter (RaintownKnitter on Ravelry, for any other members of the fiber tribe), so I bought this right away in my main game (have plenty of donuts there). Only have 304 donuts in my second game, though, so I’m resisting temptation for that game. There are still a bunch of other characters I’d like to add to that town, plus I want to see what’s coming as the holiday event progresses. And in that second game, I’m not at a point yet where KEM farming works well for me, so I’m stingy with the sprinkles.

Well…there is an easy answer to that… they all came “From The Simpsons TV Show.” Joke. Kidding. For real. Those were always Wookie’s territory…but, if I get time, I might do an aggregate post that covers the primary stuff. There are SO MANY ITEMS in this update…it would take days to write them all individually.
I immediately got Cirque De Puree without a thought and waited to decide on Kathy. Lower on donuts than usual, and I’m not sure what to expect with the coming weeks. Might skip on Kathy and hope she’s in a box soon.
