Ho Ho Ho Holiday Tappers!
Bust out the tinsel and be sure to hang those stockings by the chimney with care because Christmas time is in the air! That’s right my friends, Christmas (and snow, lots and lots of snow) has hit our pocket-sized towns!
This year EA is trying something different, as I’ve laid out in this post, in that Christmas 2018 consists of multi-events. Basically, the Simpson family will host four stories to be told over the course of December with a new story releasing each week. As we’re taken through each story a series of prizes are released to correspond with the theme of the story. For Week 1, Act 1, we’re following a Pageant tale by Lisa, and the prizes we unlock all fit into the Pageant theme.
So let’s take a look at the final two prizes this week, the Fair Booths and Pageant Stage (with a few land tokens thrown in)…
First up, prize 4, the Fair Booths
How You Unlock it:
‘Twas the Pageant Before Christmas Pt. 4
Make Angel Lisa Give Proclamations on High- 4hrs
Collect Programs- x300.
Once achieved you’ll unlock the booths, and there are 4 of them with this prize….AND 1 Land Token

Build Time: Instant
Earns: Nothing, just a decoration
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Can Be Placed: grass|pavement|boardwalk|pier|dirt
What Does it Do?: After the initial quest there (for Lisa …part of Part 5) not a whole lot. Just a festive booth and you get four of them with this prize.
Additional Info: Once unlocked, you’ll have the option to purchase more…with in-game cash…should you want more. Like crafting, but with cash. They’ll cost $400 each.
Also, Once you’ve completed the full Week 1 questline you’ll unlock a small questline for the booths….

Homer: Marge. You know I super-love Christmas. But I did the mandatory thing where we decorate the house, and the mandatory thing where we shop for the kids…and the mandatory thing where we go to a party and I hang with your friends and act like I care…And now I need to celebrate Homer Christmas.
Marge: What’s Homer Christmas?
Homer: It’s where I turn on the TV, and watch whatever sports teams have been forced by their billionaire owners to work on Christmas. It’s quiet, it’s alone, and it’s all Daddy’s.
Marge: Know what? That makes sense! Homer Simpson, you’re off duty! I’m going to the booth!

Marge: Homer! Are you having a good Homer Christmas?
Homer: I am. I truly am. I watched LeBron James have to work on a day that I get off, and it was wonderful.
Marge: And I hope it made him miserable, and made you feel superior.
Homer: Yes on both counts, my love. On both counts.
Next up, prize 5, (the last prize for week 1) the Pageant Stage AND a Land Token…

Once achieved you’ll unlock the Stage and a LAND TOKEN…
Note: Some of you are reporting you’re completing the part but not receiving the stage. More than likely you’re not completing all of the required quests. You like to send Lisa to set up Booths, Homer, Ralph and Milhouse to Ride the Carousel AND collect 300 Programs. Try scrolling up in the quest box if you think you’re stuck…this video will help…

What Does it Do?: A really great animated task there for Lisa, Milhouse and Ralph to Act in Ensemble. It’s a 12hr visual task at the stage. AND an individual 8hr (visual) task for Lisa to Dance on Stage.

Lisa: Mom, I’m scared. What if I don’t want to perform ballet in front of all these people?
Marge: Then don’t, sweetie.
Lisa: Really, Mom? It’s okay?
Marge: Of course! I think it’s generous of you to step aside and let Janey have the spotlight. Who knows? This could be just the confidence boost she needs to become all she can be. Next thing you know, she’ll find her voice, and start speaking up in class…and soon, she’ll have highest grades in Springfield Elementary Grade 2!
Lisa: Get out of the way!!! Tonight, I dance!!!
Make Lisa Dance on Stage- 8hrs, Earns $275, 70xp
Lisa: Mom, I did it! I really did it!
Marge: I knew you would. All it took was a little dollop of the kind of psychological torture only a mom can deliver!

Up next? Nothing. Just hang out and wait for Week 2 to start on Wednesday, then it all beings again! 🙂

Just had this issue, never had Lisa set up the booths & didn’t see that in my quest requirements.
No big deal, she’ll finish overnight & be available for the week 2 questline.
I have problem with part 6. I says I must send the children play but whenI click on it it goes to Lisa without any yellow task
You need Lisa, Ralph and Mulhouse free for that task.
I like how the fair booths can be rotated and tapped to have 4 different looks and just like the chestnut carts you can buy more for cash. I just unlocked the stage earlier today and sent the kids on the 12 hour task immediately so I haven’t seen Lisa’s 8 hour task yet.

Similar to Geoff, I would be a happier tapper if the prizes included unique buildings (looking at you, movie theater haha) and the chestnut carts and this booth were available for purchase from the get go. Oh well, I’m liking the event; fun to look forward to something new each week.

Apologizing upfront – people keep talking about free land tiles, but I haven’t seen any. Have I just not progressed enough?
Tap to purchase a Land Tile. The game will ask you if you want to spend one of your Land Tokens and it will tell you how many tokens you have.

Each booth has four individual designs, depending on the way it’s rotated.
I think I will send lisa on the last prize every night 😊
Like the chestnut carts, I’m not impressed to receive multiple decorations that earn zip and to be offered more in the store for cash. At least with crafting I could pass on the naff decorations and use event currency to buy items that earn game currency after the event. That can be used for land purchase or donut farming ( I have 17 Transylvanian cottages/chalets).

I had to put a booth in storage to unlock the Lisa setup task. Then put the booth back in Springfield.
Which booth? I can’t unlock angel lisa.
