Should I Spend Donuts On The Screens?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Grab your Santa hats and break out the tinsel because it’s Christmas time in Springfield! Yes the annual TSTO Christmas event has arrived in our pocket-sized towns, covering our usual perfect weather towns with a fresh blanket of bright, white, snow!   Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add The Screens to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this festive movie theatre to your town…

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
I like this one.  It basically has everything we ask for when it comes to a premium building.  It’s reasonably priced, has a permanent character task and it’s animated when in use.  If you have the donuts and like the look pick this one up.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I picked it up.  But I readily admit this time of the year makes me loopy with spending donuts.  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at the questline…

The Screens Pt. 1
Auto starts

Marge: Everybody ready to leave for the movies? It’s been ages since I’ve seen a good love story.
Patty: Probably ages since you’ve lived one, too.
Selma: *laughs* Did you get that, Marge? It was a dig at your husband. Homer.
Homer: Hey! At least have the respect to hold your tongues until you’re out of my house.
Patty: Why? You wouldn’t hear us then.
Marge: You know, these jokes are actually getting old, ladies.
Homer: Not as old as the ladies themselves!
Make Marge Try to Keep the Peace- 4hrs, Earns $260, 70xp
Marge: I’ve had it with all the wisenheimery, you three. It ends now!
Patty: *sniff*
Selma: *tch*
Homer: What the ugly crones said!

The Screens Pt. 2
Auto starts

Marge: If the people I love can’t get along, what am I supposed to do?
Patty: Have you ever considered replacing Homer with an obese bulldog? The kids would never know the difference.
Selma: You could give it a really stupid name. Like “Homer”.
Homer: Homer is not a stupid name! It’s the name of a boring old poet who wrote a story so good they turned it into a Brad Pitt movie!
Marge: That does it! I’m not wasting a babysitter and my going-out-dress on this nonsense. I’m going to the movies alone!
Make Marge Take Herself on aDate– 8hrs, Earns $420, 105xp
Marge: Have you all finally worked out your disagreements, or should I go back for a double feature?
Selma: Hey, if you want to look at Homer’s chin, you could just stay here.
Patty: “Double feature”. Good one.
Marge: It is NOT a good one! It’s a slight variation on the same joke you’ve been boring me with for years.
Homer: Patty is a slight variation on the Selma that’s been boring me for years….Admittedly, not my best effort. But that doesn’t mean it’s not true!

What are your thoughts on the Screens?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield? Did you already?  Why or why not?  Where have you placed it in your town?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Not in love with the building. It’s something i would take while working through a mystery box to the character, bonus % paying item, or unique looking exciting thing i want. This is something i would stick in my Springfield and never notice again.

  2. I bought it hoping it would help for the whole event. Oh well, no regret 😁

  3. The Screens (aka the Christmas Movie Theatre)

Bought immediately because this helped me quickly finish Act 1 (♥️ how it animates during Character Tasks). EA truly is delivering the Christmas gifts this year by keeping it simple, providing a variety of Premiums (some – like this – affordable), not requiring crafting to advance and I’m looking forward to Act 2 tomorrow. ⛄🎄🦌🎅

  4. I would be more tempted if it had a non-tree skin. And I didn’t have 3 theaters already. Easy pass.

  5. I bought it mainly because of the tree…bonus it didn’t cost much and helped with event–thanks EA!! : )

  6. I picked it up on an impulse buy. I like it, it’s cute. I to need to watch my donut spending case I miss something I really want!!

  7. It’s cute but with the mini tasks so easy to complete I didn’t need the extra help for the event. Saved my donuts this round. New stuff being added every week makes me nervous I’ll spend all my donuts and miss out on something I really want! lol
