Yes the annual TSTO Christmas event has arrived in our pocket-sized towns, covering our usual perfect weather towns with a fresh blanket of bright, white, snow! Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Anchor Management and Don Brodka to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this security combo to your town…

Final Thought
Premium:
This is a good buy. He’s at the (new) standard price for Combos, 150 donuts. Which is better than a lot of other combos for this event. And he’s from a classic Simpsons episode. Who can forget Don catching Bart shoplifting in Marge Be Not Proud?
Freemium:
I still think you’re better getting Young Marge (since she helps with the whole event), but if you’re not going to get to that 199 donut price Don is a good alternative.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I already picked it up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Just got Brodka. Even though I wish he had a task involving Bart from when he caught Bart shoplifting from the Try-N-Save.
I am totally getting him; but, I am really sad that he has no jobs at the Try N Save. I would’ve gone even more wild if there was a 2 hour visual task of him snagging Bart before he shoplifted the game.
I really want that building for my pier but I’d be so much happier getting them cheaper out of a mystery box. Just like I really want Marge and Barney but I’m still fuming over paying 300 donuts for Sarah Wiggum, who I don’t use for anything and could have gotten a few months later for tokens. I’m thinking I’ll wait, I may pull the trigger last minute like I did with CCL skin, guess we’ll see. I did get the Ice Mansion right away though, only 30 donuts and looks so good in my winter wonderland..

I picked him up. Classic episode. For some reason I just love the dialogue during the credits at the end of the episode:

No more donuts but it’s a real good deal ….
I know I’m being redundant here and off topic, but as I posted yesterday I was having problems while farming. I kept getting booted off and then lost the ability to collect my donuts while farming rat traps. Today the same thing but now it’s including KEM farming as well. I don’t mind putting off rat trap farming until this event is over but I don’t want to have to stop my daily four hour KEM farming.
Was wondering how far out this reaches other farmers? I have been getting booted off the game after awhile playing for weeks now but never had it happen so often and always now while farming.
Others out there with similar problems?

I have the same thing now for almost a week. It looks like if there’s too much XP is hanging you get kicked out. I had it on strong wifi and on strong 4G, so that’s not the cause. It is really kinda annoying, been kicked of when the Xp is coming in. I didn’t really check if you loose the $ too. Or they actually say that they will stop farmers so that we are aware of it, or they fix that annoying thing.
But yes, these are our 1st world problems
Yes, I’ve been having issues since week 2 started, in particular. I have been only tapping a few at a time, waiting for them to come in, assuming I will get booted at any time. As I type this, it is actually quite bad; nearly unplayable.
I have the same problems. I did almost fix it. I did put al characters in store. And now its better. But stil verry slow when xp and money roles in.
Having the exact problem while farming rattrap trucks. I used to buy more than 40 at a time, but I got kick out of the game several times not receiving the donuts, I think I list about 100 donuts and a bunch of $$. What I am doing now is just buying no more than 10 at a time. And as you said, its only happening while farming.
I’m not only getting booted when farming, but also at any given time while playing. Wednesday I played for MANY hours, like 7, redesigning my town and was booted to the Bart screen probably about 18 times during that time. Today I logged in for the first time, after the 5 minutes of loading my town came up for 3 seconds, then the Bart screen. Obviously this happens while farming too, but I don’t think it is only happening when farming donuts or that it has anything to do, directly, with farming itself.
It’s server issues… nothing to do with farming.

I bought the 3 new characters right away. They are all 3 worth it. They might come back later (at much lower price) in some mystery box, but if that box is rather full with crap you don’t want, you can end up paying the same amount of donuts or even more before you obtain what you really want. And sometimes you have to wait very long before they return. After this event is over i will be very low on donuts but i don’t care. Bought none of the stand alone buildings till now.

I passed, but that doesn’t mean others should, too …. If you don’t want to spend 175 🍩 ‘s on Young Barney with Shack? This is a better deal (it seems EA did their homework, because there are a lot of Simpson’s Christmas Episodes being referenced this year). 👍
