Another day, another event in Springfield as Christmas has fallen upon our pocket-sized towns! And it wouldn’t be an event without a Mystery Box, now would it? Of course EA’s go a box for this occasion! They literally have a box for everything! And we’ve finally stumbled onto the box full of Winter Wonderland items! Just in time for the holidays…
This is a premium box full of your chance to get those Winter premium character/building/decorations you may have missed out on in the past. By now we should all be familiar with how Mystery Boxes work, so let’s jump to the breakdown of what’s inside…
This Mystery Box is a great way to get items at a discount or something you missed out on from a previous event.
And…if you already have everything in the box you won’t see the box in your store.
So for 60 donuts, you can have your shot at a variety of premium characters, decorations, and buildings from the Christmas Events of the past. 60 Donuts is less than or equal to the initial value for each item. (unless it was a prize)

Now, while I know you can’t pick and choose which items you want from the box, I included the Should I Buy (or details) posts from the past so y’all can see how much they originally cost & what specifically each building/character does.
60 donuts is a MORE THAN fair price for most of the items at least. So my thoughts are, if you have something in there you want…give it a try. You’ll likely get something worth it. (even if most of the items were originally prizes, if they were to come back as premium items (which in some cases they have) they’d cost more than 60 donuts each)

The three items I had available in my Winter Wonderland Mystery Box were the Giant Snow Globe, Krusty’s Kristmas on Ice, and the dreaded Funzo Bundle. On the first attempt I got Krusty’s Kristmas on Ice which I actually wanted for my (still unfinished, as of yet) Itchy & Scratchy Land/Krustyland. On my second try I got the Giant Snow Globe, and since most of the tasked characters are busy collecting cookies, I sent the remaining available characters (White Witch Burns, Ice Princess Martin, Jasper, Snow Monster, Santa’s Little Helper) on the questline.
The Giant Snow Globe especially seemed like a really good deal…60 donuts for something that was originally 225 donuts, AND offers a 2.25% bonus to boot. I’m not sure where I’ll place the Snow Globe after the Christmas event is over, but I’m sure I’ll figure something out. And I’ll probably save the redesign of my I&S/Krustyland for a spring/summer project, but I think that Krusty’s Kristmas on Ice will still fit well year round in a theme park setting. I’m just glad I didn’t get stuck with the Funzos!! 😱
I also ended up buying the Christmas Market Bundle for pretty much the same reason. I wanted more of the Holiday trees, but what clinched it was the Ferris Wheel, which I had originally bought for 120 donuts, included for a total of 50 donuts. I stored the additional Christmas items, along with the duplicates of the things I already had (with the exception of the bonus % earning items) and this Ferris Wheel will probably end up in my County Fair area.
What I have left available in my box I’m not interested in ….. so this box is a pass for me.
I contacted ea because I don’t have the ice palace either. After much confusion they said it isn’t an item that is in the wonderland mystery box and the websites that said it was an option is incorrect. Very frustrating.
Whomever told you that is an idiot and should be fired. To put it bluntly.
First of all, we’re not incorrect. The information I posted is DIRECT from EA. Not from the files, this is info that was directly emailed to us from EA as part of the Christmas Info Package.
Second, it’s in my C game (where I have nothing unlocked/owned for this reason). It’s a combo of the Ice Palance and Ice Princess Martin. So if you have one you won’t see it in your game.
I love how these customer service reps try to tell us we’re wrong, when we do 99.9999% of their work for them. Sheesh.
Call them back, tell them they’re wrong and you have proof that they’re wrong. (sorry my anger is not directed at you. I just get really annoyed when the customer service reps say we’re wrong about things because they’re to lazy to explore the answer themselves)
I understand your frustration. I have never called them before but decided that I would because I really wanted this item. They did call within minutes but I was told that the not everyone gets the same items. I tried to explain that several sites stated that it was available but she insisted that was not true. She told me I purchased Shiva and that you only get I chance. I don’t think she has any idea how to do her job.
Very likely, many of them aren’t properly trained in certain games
I don’t have a mystery box.
I bought from the first box. I always wanted the snow monster. Now I have new items but there are only two. Rabbi kristy and shiva. I played and won the rabbi. Yay.
I have the ice princess Martin skin that I got for free but don’t have the ice palace and it isn’t in my mystery box. My Martin skin only has two tasks and I was hoping to get the ice palace so he can have a full set but I guess I can’t get it. Oh well. Time to try and get Jesus.
Contact EA and they will probably give it to you. Can’t guarantee it, but I had a similar situation in the past and they gifted the missing item to me without question and without spending donuts.

I’ve been playing for just over a year, and couldn’t buy anything last Christmas, so there were 21 items in my MB. I’ve hit about half them so far … including the dreaded Funzos. As someone said … I’ll never have to worry about getting them again. The Murderhorn dialogue now ranks as one of my favourites !

Didn’t miss it.. Wrong box. This is a post about the WINTER WONDERLAND box, he’s in the HAPPY HOLIDAYS box. Two totally different boxes. Winter Wonderland has been in since the event started, Happy Holidays (where J Rigellian is) just hit today.
Wanted the snow globe and got it on my third try, got the Grumple along the way. Can’t complain. ☺️
As of today, looks like there are two mystery boxes – Winter Wonderland and Happy Holidays. The second one is new, 60 donuts and all characters. Definitely a great deal! I’m glad I could get Jesus in my Springfield. Even though I’d bet he’s not thrilled to be there. 🙂
I got the Murderhorn and King Winter. I’d go for a third round, but I’m terrified I’ll get the Funzos.
I don’t think I’ve actually seen any of them since they were the prize in one of my first tries on the box !
I only have one item in my mystery box- J. Rigellian Christ & the Manger. I think it’s a steal for 60 donuts so will pick it up.

I got the gingerbread house during it’s first appearance, but did not level it up for the larger skins. IS there a way to fix this? Can the old one be sold and then hope the new one comes up?
The mystery box that showed up today on my game has Jesus, Shiva, Alien Nativity scene and another character. No complaints here. Sense I’ve been farming I have plenty for all these great characters I couldn’t afford in Christmas past. 😇

Does the Mystery Box “reload” with Act 3? Only items I have showing are Shiva and (Alien) Nativity Scene. I have all the above except (I think) the Ice Castle, and it isn’t showing.

The only thing I had in my box was Krusty’s Christmas on Ice, so I got it. I have a year-round Christmas town in my Springfield so I will fit it in there.
Is this going to be the only mystery box this event? Are there going to be returning items offered outside of the bundles or boxes?
I have a large majority of Christmas items past. However, I don’t have Santa Homer and the Christmas village. Last time he came around he was bundled with Santa Flanders which I have, and he wasn’t offered by himself. Can we expect a visit from Santa Homer this year?
Also are there going to be any returns of the pagan winter event? I passed on the singing Stones during the event and have been regretting it.

Took a gamble. Got the Grumple. Very happy. Won’t be pressing my luck on another try.
I got them all and love them! The Grumple’s quests and sounds are hilarious, the nativity scene is sweet, I love having Star Snowsuit Maggie hang out on top of the holiday tree, Festivus CBG is hilarious trying to overturn Christmas benches, the Gingerbread mansion is a must-have for candy lane and I love that you can tap and change it so many times. I especially LOVE the Snow Globe and that SO many characters do something specific inside it! Including the Snow Monster (Rudolf & Bumble fan here!) and Ice Princess Martin who comes with the Ice Palace (Martin’s quests and animations are also funny, for anyone who’s been around youngsters during the Frozen craze!) I farmed and bought some donuts to pick up all of these as a Christmas present to myself! When they’re not doing the new storyline missions, I like that my characters are doing all kinds of holiday/wintery things in snowy Springfield leading this season.

I’m waiting till Xmas to buy any bundles/mystery boxes partly so I have time to think about what I really want 🙂 I’m fine with holiday characters running around all year, but some of the decorations/buildings would be difficult to design with.
Like the ice palace… I really want it, but I have no ice tiles so it would have to be seasonal if I get it :/ Overall, I think a lot of the stuff in this box would be like that (king winter’s cave, nativity scene, gingerbread mansion,…) so I might end up passing on this mystery box this year.
Too much fluff to gamble.
My third story has not started yet. It tell me that I have completed everything for the other two parts of the story but there is nothing new going on in my Springfield. How do I kick start it and get it going? Thanks in advance for your help.
