Should I Spend Donuts On the Marge Sculpture Garden and Young Artie?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Grab your Santa hats and break out the tinsel because it’s Christmas time in Springfield! Yes the annual TSTO Christmas event has arrived in our pocket-sized towns, covering our usual perfect weather towns with a fresh blanket of bright, white, snow!   Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Marge Sculpture Garden and Young Artie to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this flashback combo to your town…

Building/Decoration: Marge Sculpture Garden
Character: Young Artie
Donut Cost: 175 Donuts
Size:
7×8
Earns:
Nothing (I’m hoping this is corrected, that’s A LOT of donuts for no bonus %)
Conform-O-Meter:
Vanity +200
Can Be Placed:
grass|pavement|boardwalk|pier|dirt|krustyland

Leaves stores December 26th

Pros
-Helps with the event, earns a premium rate
-Sculpture Garden is always animated (fountain goes off, bird hops around)

Cons
-Will only help with Week 3 of the event, no help for week 4
-Pricey considering the Garden doesn’t earn anything
-Not voiced

Final Thought
Premium:
If you’re collecting the young characters, obviously go for it with Artie.  But I’m pretty disappointed, even by premium standards, that you’re paying 175 donuts for a combo and the building/decoration doesn’t earn anything.  Unless you’re collecting them, this is for sure a premium pass.

Freemium:
Stay away from this one.  Stay far, far away.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I already picked it up (what can I say, I’m collecting them).  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at his tasks…

Young Artie’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Each Lunch with his Teachers 1hr $105, 26xp Springfield Highschool/Springfield Library/Brown House
Be Creatively Creepy 4hrs $260, 70xp Outside/Visual at Sculpture Garden
Dominate at Debate 8hrs $840, 210xp Springfield High/Brown House
Go Bird Watching 12hrs $600, 150xp Shops/Restaurants
Dance Like Marge is Watching 24hrs $1000, 225xp Outside/Visual

Also has 4hr tasks at Smooches on the Beach, $ Casino, & Boiled Potato.  And an 8hr task at Chez Guevara.

What are your thoughts on Young Artie and the Marge Sculpture Garden?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield? Did you already?  Why or why not?  Where have you placed it in your town?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. In which episode did it appears, please ?

  2. Yes it should pay something but that sculpture garden looks awesome! Can’t wait to fit it onto ziff manor grounds.

  3. Also, young Arty built a tribute to an older Marge?

  4. I bought every young character but this one. Just doesn’t appeal to me at that price.

  5. Marge Sculpture Garden and Young Artie

Probably the only Premium in this Event I’m not interested in (Artie isn’t a favourite Character for me). I have to agree with Alissa that these 175 🍩’s Character Building Combos are very hit and miss (and definitely a nope when there are better Premiums available – or coming up next!) 🤷🏼‍♀️

I do ♥️ my Young Homer, Marge, Barney (totally worth the Sprinkles!) 👍

    Have a Holly Jolly Holiday Everyone ♥️🦌 🎄⛄ 🎅

  6. I agree Alissa this really isn’t a good deal.

  7. I’m collecting them all too. Doesn’t really fit in with the way the Ziff mansion is built. Might just have to pic another and just ignore that it’s at the wrong one haha.

  8. Thanks for the write up on Young Arnie. Something I have learned from this current event and thanksgiving is hold off on buying most o the premiums unless you desperately want it. Mystery boxes are either not appearing for me of just have a single item or two. If this is the way EA are heading with jacked up prices with content that does nowt or earn NIL I rather hold off until they appear cheap 😁😁😁

  9. This looks to be the new standard with premium characters…high-priced with no bonus %.

    • Patric was saying he reckons that they ( EA ) are pushing up the price to see just how far they can go with it until people are unwilling to pay.

      • If that’s the case, everyone should’ve stopped buying at around 60 donuts… I mean c’mon £20 for two virtual decorations and two characters?? I play the Kaboom video every once in a while just so that Homer can laugh at me…

  10. I understand there is another week and that she is coming. I’m asking if you know if she is a prize or if she has to be purchased with donut. Just wondering if I need to save donuts. Appreciate any info, thanks.

  11. Ill just wait for it to appear in a mystery box and get a 100 or more donut rebate on it 😁

  12. I passed and cleared out the Holiday Box. I wanted Jesus and Buddha, didn’t have either. So is Mrs Claus a prize or a purchase?

  13. You cant spell Party without Arty…..
    Pass. He’s a jerk.

  14. But you probably would have expected mrs Santa Claus to appear -before- x-mas eve, otherwise she feels rather unneccesary, or?

  15. Thanks Alissa! This is a pass for me, the price is too high for a character and a simple decoration (albeit gracious)

  16. Honestly I feel like the buildings are just to drive up the price. There´s no reason for any of them. I´m still on the fence, because I desperatley want mrs santa claus, and I originally thought she would be the last prize in the marge christmas story.
