2018 Happy Holidays Mystery Box

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Another day, another event in Springfield as Christmas has fallen upon our pocket-sized towns! And it wouldn’t be an event without a Mystery Box, now would it?  Of course EA’s go a box for this occasion!  They literally have a box for everything! And we’ve finally stumbled onto the box full of Holiday items!  Just in time for the holidays…

This is a premium box full of your chance to get those Holiday premium character/building/decorations you may have missed out on in the past.  By now we should all be familiar with how Mystery Boxes work, so let’s jump to the breakdown of what’s inside…

This Mystery Box is a great way to get items at a discount or something you missed out on from a previous event.

And…if you already have everything in the box you won’t see the box in your store.

So for 60 donuts, you can have your shot at a variety of premium characters, decorations, and buildings from the Christmas Events of the past.  60 Donuts is less than or equal to the initial value for each item. (unless it was a prize)

The Mystery Box Leaves Games on January 2nd (when the event ends)

Here’s what you can win…

Jesus Christ and Heavenly Swing Set- Originally 199 donuts, Should I Buy

Rigellian Christ and Manger- Originally 150 donuts, Should I Buy

Rabbi Krustofsky and Temple Beth Springfield– Originally 150 donuts, Should I Buy

Brother Faith and Brother Faith Van- Originally 110 donuts, Should I Buy

Shiva- Originally 75 donuts, Should I Buy

Gautama Buddha– Originally a prize (Christmas 2017), Details

Pope and St. Paul’s Basilica- Originally 150 donuts, Should I Buy

Now, while I know you can’t pick and choose which items you want from the box, I included the Should I Buy (or details) posts from the past so y’all can see how much they originally cost & what specifically each building/character does.

60 donuts is a MORE THAN fair price for most of the items at least.  So my thoughts are, if you have something in there you want…give it a try.  You’ll likely get something worth it. (even if most of the items were originally prizes, if they were to come back as premium items (which in some cases they have) they’d cost more than 60 donuts each)

And that’s it my friends!  The details on the Happy Holidays Mystery Box…

What are your thoughts on the Mystery Box? Have you tried it yet? What have you won so far? What do you hope to get? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I’m torn between tapping into this mystery box and continue to increase my multiplier (currently 587%). Get about 40 donuts a day so I should get four out out of the seven items in the box. But that would once again delay my quest to get to 1.1k%. Help me decide

  2. I’m rather disappointed in what I got. Brother Faith and Rigellian Christ. I got most of the mystery box during last years event so now it’s down to The Pope, Jesus himself, and Rabbi Krustofski. If I hadn’t indulged in the Black Friday boxes I’d probably still have enough left to get Lyla and risk a few more pulls on the mystery box in hopes of completing my B.S. League collection. All I have to do now is knock on wood, cross my fingers and pray for luck on my next box pulls and hope that Lyla will be back some day.

  3. I got Shiva first, the Pope second and Jesus third. I’m excited to finally have Jesus in my Springfield.
Now I have 16 donuts left so no more tries for the last two.

  4. I’m being charged 75 doughnuts not 60. Based in the UK, this to do with Brexit?

  5. Had everything but 1 or 2 buildings. So many Christmas costumes i wanted. Got zip. Sigh. Would be nice if they programmed mb, to make sure everyone gets new characters. With all the characters im missing still from past Christmases, it feels like EA doesnt take care of long term players. Program the mb boxes, please, to offer at least 5 characters we are missing, per box. Or start sticking them in my vault, instead of having to keep waiting seasonally. Usually love EA, but really wish this part was fixed. The mb character grab is one of the best parts of the game! 😁

  6. In both my towns I got (In Order) Brother Faith; Shiva; Pope & then Rabbi – These were the only items I had missing from Christmas past events. Strange how both games had the same order of box openings as to prizes? The least wanted were the first 2 opened on each game. Both boxes now cleared; So just sharing this info in case others are wanting to try their luck on the box. All in All I’m happy with the results for donut spend ratio.

  7. I really liked the cost of this mystery box and cleared the box. I had Buddah, Rabbi and Jesus previously (There’s a joke in there somewhere).

  8. Do you think there will be any more mystery boxes for this event?

  9. Best Mystery Box Ever! 😀👍

I got Rigellian Christ and Manger, Pope and St. Paul’s Basilica, Brother Faith and Brother Faith Van (all that for less then a Gil Deal!) 🌠🎁

I may have only cared for half of the Premiums during this Event, but Kem Farming has allowed me to choose wisely and go for what I felt was worth the Sprinkles! ♥️

Stay Festive Everyone (who knows what EA will give us as a surprise on New Year’s ) ⛄🦌❄️🎅🎄

  10. Cleared that one! Got Jesus, brother Faith, Basilica, shiva and rubbi krustofsky. Cannot be happier!

  11. Was a goal of mine to clear this one out. No regrets

  12. 60 donut characters are a must buy for me, no matter who they are! 🙂 I now have almost all the religious figures in my Springfield. Maybe one day they can borrow bear suit Mohammed from South Park or something. 🙂

  13. I got Jesus, J. Rigellian, and Shiva in my box. I would like to get Jesus since I missed out on him on Black Friday.

  14. Those are some great deals.

  15. I tried three times and left Brother Faith as the only remaining item in the box because I wasn’t sure where to put his van. After reading his SIB, I’m going to clear my box. Thanks for the info!

  16. I picked up right away, got shiva and Krusty’s father

  17. Thanks Alissa! I only had the J. Christ-es, and got them posthaste 😂
