Should I Spend Donuts On the Mini Golf Castle and Lee Carvallo?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Grab your Santa hats and break out the tinsel because it’s Christmas time in Springfield! Yes the annual TSTO Christmas event has arrived in our pocket-sized towns, covering our usual perfect weather towns with a fresh blanket of bright, white, snow!   Of course, by now, we all know that a new event means a new excuse for EA to fill our stores with limited-time premium items to tempt us.

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Mini Golf Castle and Lee Carvallo to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this golfing combo to your town…

Cons
-Mini Golf Castle doesn’t earn anything, not even the tiniest of bonus percentages

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
Although this isn’t a main Simpsons character, I still think this is a good buy (if you’re looking for event characters). For this event he’s priced at a standard price point, he’ll help with the event and has a fun set of tasks.  Aside from the mini golf castle not generating any income (bonus % or otherwise), it’s a good buy.  If you’re looking for a character from this event this is a good one to pick up.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I already picked it up.  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at his tasks…

Lee Carvallo’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Suck at Mini Golf 1hr $105, 26xp Mini Golf Castle
Practice His Golf Clap 4hrs $260, 70xp Mini Golf Castle
Display His Awards 8hrs $840, 210xp Outside/Visual
Show No Love 12hrs $600, 150xp Outside/Visual
Drive a Golf Cart at a Moderate Speed 24hrs $1000, 225xp Mini Golf Castle/Burns Manor

Also has 4hr tasks at Smooches on the Beach, $ Casino, & Boiled Potato.  And an 8hr task at Chez Guevara.

What are your thoughts on the Mini Golf Castle and Lee Carvallo?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield? Did you already?  Why or why not?  Where have you placed it in your town?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. On the one hand, I have a big mini golf course setup where this would look pretty good.

On the other hand… No bonus no nothing? For 150 big ones? 😒

I farm, but not like I used to, and this would take quite a bite out of my reserves. I’m undecided, but that probably means I won’t end up getting it.

  2. You have entered PowerDRIVE!!

  3. Recently, I’ve noticed that a lot of stuff that comes with the Premium character don’t give any bonuses or payout. Are there any occasions that these kind of things get a bonus in the future? If not, then I might just wait till they pop up in a cheap mystery box bundle.

  4. So far,,I haven’t spent a single donut during this event, and don’t think I’m likely to. Otherwise I’m enjoying it very much.

  5. So is this the same castle that’s already a part of Sir Putt-a-Lots? Makes my mind wobble! Not sure how I’m going to make this work in my Springfield yet, but I couldn’t pass this guy up.

    • Both castles do look similar but if you watched the episode “Lisa the Drama Queen” Sir Putt-A-Lott’s appears and the castle there looks a lot like the Mini Golf Castle which is even more of a mind wobble.

  6. So, people…today i am 44. Outside it’s cold and rainy and gray. That’s how 44 feels. AND my license expired today….so i got THAT going for me. Lol🎈

  7. Here’s a story from a few days ago. We’re opening Christmas presents, and my brother got presents for my wife and I together, instead of individually. We open a box with what looks like a camera bag, but is actually a Nintendo Switch. The next present you can tell is a switch game. My wife gets super excited because we’ve wanted to get a Switch just for Smash Bros., but I warned her that it was actually going to be Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge. And it was (Mario Kart 8, still a great game).

  8. Mini Golf Castle and Lee Carvallo

♥️ the Character, but if I passed on this? It’s because I already have Sir Putz-A-Lot Mini Golf (one of Flanders Kids has a 24-hour Character Task there) and the Mystery Boxes are filled with awesome Premiums from the past (60 🍩’s per item is a win every time!)

Tappers can decide for themselves – there’s no right or wrong in deciding to spend sprinkles! 😀👍

  9. Thanks Alissa! This is a pass for me, although I liked the episode 😊

  10. If you live The Simpsons emotionally, not just for laughs then this is one of the best episodes off all time. My mom caught me stealing when I was a little younger than Bart. This episode makes me cry and reminds me of a very important lesson I learned before it was too late. So yeah…I’ll by anything from one of my favorite episodes

    • Ha! I was only 5 or 6 when I put a 2 cent starlight mint from a bulk bin into my pocket and my mom caught me, demanded to know who had given me such a notion, go up to the cashier, admit my crime and acknowledge I owed retribution. That’s how mom’s used to do it.

      • Mine was scratch and sniff stickers. They had a sample board with every variety on it and I put it in my jacket.
