Week 4 of Christmas has hit our games (and is nearly over!), thoughts on week 4? Maggie’s storyline impress you? How about the prizes? Any premium items you’ve purchased?
The event itself is almost over! It all ends January 2nd, what are your overall thoughts on Christmas 2018? Better than you initially thought it would be?
Can you believe it’s almost 2019? Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve and that’s it…bye bye 2018! What will you miss about 2018? Looking forward to in 2019? Don’t forget to tune in tomorrow at 10:30a ET for a very special Year in Review episode of Addicts Live! (Podcast should be up around that time as well, for those that listen vs watch)

FYI, the mobile trivia game HQ Trivia is having a Simpsons Trivia contest Sunday night.
I’m feeling a bit like Dr. Evil from Austin Powers this morning as I realized I now have ‘One Billion Dollars’ of in game cash. It certainly piles up when you stop KEM farming and only do RTTs as needed.
Note to newer players – three years of play, use (abuse?) of EA glitches, KEM farming / Mystery Boxes and a general addiction to the game got me here. It took a lot of Patric’s valuable commodity – time. There was no short cut to reaching point.
(Does that satisfy the lawyers….?)

I wonder how difficult it would be for EA to put coats on the Springfield characters? I know they have to be cold walking around in all that snow. 😂😂😊😊 What does everybody else think? Coats or no,coats?
Regular Characters became Premium.
During the October event, several of my characters went from regular pay-offs to premium pay-offs. These include Frinkenstein, Greystash, Wizard Unicorn, and Hugo. More recently Santa and President Lisa changed to premium as well.
I have seen no mention of this and was wondering if it happened to anyone else?
Usually happens when a character previously a prize (or limited time) becomes re-available for donuts. (I’m just waiting for Helen Lovejoy to get a promotion!)
This has been happening since the start of the game and they do mention it sometimes
I have a nice Springfield Heights area but maxed out land. long ago.
Out of laziness I just decided to add a new Springfield Heights area on the other side of the mountain. Maxed out every building you can get and increased my Bonus by 130 percent or more I lost track.
And… they’re off ! 😄

How many times can you dismiss a daily task ?
I thought it was only once, but I was able to dismiss today’s task twice to get a donut Tao to pop up.
You can keep dismissing over and over for weeks on end. However, you can only dismiss twice per day.

I am able to dismiss a task only once a day after midnight. I usually wait till the next morning to do it. Does it give a cross every 12 hours? Thanks.
Yes, every 12 hours you can cross out the task until you either get one you complete, or find one that makes you happy (like one that rewards 6 donuts).

Well the update is going to end soon. It was a good Christmas update with a new system… lots of prizes and contents… hope 2019 will be a good year for the game !
You guys need to do a post on the end of bonus percentage points for premium items. Not even the lone premium decoration came with a percentage. Absent the bundles (all returning existing content) none of the new items increased anyone’s bonus percentage and probably cost upwards of 1000 donuts.
Wonder what’s next to go…

I liked this event too. Easy to play but not too time consuming. I bought the yarn store because I love knitting and couldn’t pass it up. The pseudo knitting dialogue that went with it was hilarious. One of my favourite premium items ever. Merry Christmas!

I got one bum present. The best part was that it was something I bought for myself. It was supposed to be a pretty flower… and, it is, but… it also looked like it might actually open on Xmas and it didn’t, but… the MAIN thing is that it is NOT the flower I ordered.
Fortunately, a 5 minute minute call to customer service has the true bulb winging it’s way to me for free but it won’t flower until mid-March… At least now I can say I own a ‘Ferrari’ 🙂

Should have the greyhound sleigh tomorrow and must say it’s been a good event, though wasn’t enticed to buy anything much. Ok last Christmas I tapped my elf in a box and haven’t been able to find him all year.Does anyone know if he’s still in the game?
Yeah but he’s so darn hard to find! The easiest thing I’ve found is to go into the editing mode like you’re going to move things around, then turn off the streets and buildings, etc. and then slowly scan through your town. Hopefully you’ll notice him on the side of the road somewhere! I’ve stopped tapping him because it is frustrating trying to find him.

It’s pretty much just a stationery object that says a few different phrases when tapped. In hindsight I partially regret buying it but nostalgia got the better of me.
Alissa ,do you know of anybody else know a way to get the creepy elf on the shelf back in his box ?? I accidently let it out and I cant find him, and storage put him back in the box but he’s out when I try to put it back in the game.

I really liked this event. Lots of funny dialogs, affordable items, short prize tracks, free characters, no bonus crafting zone, and most of all LOTS OF LAND TILES 😍
I’m halfway to prize 4, will finish on time and don’t feel like dragging an act waiting for the next event, so bonus points here. I mean, I AM waiting, but not in boredom 😊
I hope this ’19 brings some serenity to my beloved ones. ’18 ended in a big (more like ginormous) mess.
