We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Happy New Year fellow Addicts! We’re almost a full week into 2019, how’s it going for you so far? Keeping those resolutions? Gave up on them already?
Christmas ended in TSTO this past Wednesday, yet we still don’t have anything new in Springfield. What do you think is next? When do you think it’ll hit?

So here’s my dilema: Two days ago around 200 of my Springfielders ended up at Willie’s Shack. I honestly don’t know how they got there in the first place since I don’t remember sending them there. When they were ready I tapped them and like always when everyone is at the same place I collected a TON of XP and $$$. So much so that I leveled up a bonus level and got a chance at 3 donuts. I also collected almost $1,000,000. Then I used the find character icon to tour around town tapping other finished jobs. When I hit Ned Flanders it took me back to Willie’s Shack but didn’t show a thumbs up. No Flanders was to be found there. This had me stumped for a minute until I decided to head to the friends area and back to see if that reset something. Come to find out it did. When I got back all of my Springfielders were back at the Shack waiting with a thumbs up. Strange!!! So I tapped them again and collected all the money and XP. Donuts again too. Still Flanders was shown at the Shack. Long story short my Springfielders are stuck at the shack and every time I come into the game I can tap them and collect on them without ever sending them to do a job. I’ve collected 200 donuts in the last 2 days along with about $80 million.
I think I know an easy way to “set my people free”, but the dilema is, do I want to?
The game does glitch like this every once and a while. The last time it happened to me I was able to go from $250 million to $800 million over the course of the week and racked up the donuts too.
You don’t even need to close the game. Just flipping to the neighbour visit screen and back does the same thing.
I run Tapped Out on the Bluestack emulator and I have a mouse move replay tool that does the entire cycle, including clearing bonuts. When it was running smoothly and Tapped Out was stable, it would cycle to generate 180 donuts an hour.
Take advantage now, as it will likely clear up when the next major update hits.
The Happy Holidays Mystery Box worked out well for me. Considering how in the Christmas 2017 event I purchased Shiva and earned Buddha as a prize all I had left was Brother Faith, J. Rigellian Christ, The Pope, Jesus Christ himself and Rabbi Krustofski. In the end I got all of them except Rabbi Krustofski. If I had more donuts I would’ve got him and thus emptied the box and Lyla. So when you consider the fact that I have Buddha, Train Conductor Otto, Jack Frost, Santa, Kwanzaa Dr.Hibbert, Elf Bart and Elf Lisa, Shiva and Jesus Christ I had nearly every member of the B.S. league who could fight the Rigellians. Once I get Rabbi Krustofski and Lyla my B.S. league will be complete.
To all RTT farmers. This “downtime” seems to be a good time to farm RTT, I haven’t been kicked out once.

Recently bought the hippie but when I use him to collect metal it slows the whole game down. Been playing for many years and never had issue like this. Anything I can do or just not send hippie to do work?
Is 939 still the highest level? What happens if you continue KEM farming after that? Do you still
get donuts? Thanks.

What I’d love in 2019: larger item count or create larger items to replace single items. For example a fence that was the length of four single pieces.
For the concrete wall type of walls to be designed to fit together better like the fences do.
For Springfield heights land to be evened out so it’s the same length as the over all map. The disparity irritates me.
Different monorail track types, like split tracks to offer differing routes and including different skins showing bushes or trees around the bases and having them able to cross walls as they would if they were real.
For all path type to be able to cross water like the roads do and in general not limiting what items can go on what path types. I’ve got cacti patches that can’t go on dirt which is silly.
And potentially an extra row of ocean as I’ve got an awful lot of boats etc.
But overall I love the game, I enjoy a yearly Nuke and rebuild but I’ve been holding off due to the land disparities.
So my Word Press app is crashing for no reason. I’ll post etc. when it’s behaving. Nothing wrong my end tho…..have a good week all….💜X
I searched the site but didn’t find a post with the answer, so I’m wondering — is there an optimal strategy for the Rail Yard Project Board? Should I always redeem for Huge Thingamajigs until it’s empty, then Normal Wiring and then Small Cogs regardless of payout, or always redeem for the item with the biggest reward?
The fastes method is to just keep sending everyone who is available…and redeem8ng every slot that allows you to do so. Keeping every rccylcing area going until full also makes it go faster. I usually do a full five donut cycle every 24 hours…
I like filling up the smallest thingamajigs, first.
Here’s the trick. Make sure to spend down to below 200 cans, 100 plastic, and 70 glass.
This will allow you to keep the characters generating instead of waiting.
The small thingamajigs will help with getting the variety of things needed to get below the max quota.

Since the last event, I’ve logged into my game like 100 times and each time I’m still hoping to see a update downloading. I am such a tsto addict 😝 last event was only 4 days ago- it feels like weeks lol
Random question I can’t seem to find the answer to: is there a certain amount or percentage of XP that is given after an amount of time, perhaps 24 hours?
I’ll be 10,000 or so XP away from leveling up, close the game, and then open it later and I’ve leveled up.
What I think it is is that, when you close out, it’s still accumulating. Happens to me a lot, but I assume it’s still counting as I close.
I have started to do a flip to neighbours and then immediately back again (no visits) before I close my game. This forces a synchronization, which counts any outstanding currency still streaming in.
I do have to be careful about this, as I can general collect two rounds of bonuts from a typical four hour cycle. If I force the sync too soon, I loose one of the bonut rounds.
No, it’s not that. I wait for everything to be done and even sweep one last time looking for buildings to collect XP from.

Syncing, visit friends/return home, after finding a relic is earning me many extra donut boxes. I have set up transporters by the Simpsons home and the dig site to speed up the process.

Since I won’t be designing my Springfield while the snow is down I’ve been trying my hand at KEM farming. Will definitely go back to RTT buying. KEMs are just too much of a grind for me. I haven’t kept track of how many donuts I earn with my 120 KEMs, but I know it’s not balanced since I keep losing game cash. Oh well, it’ll come back around. I’m going to try not to spend any donuts for most of the year to see how many I can build up (yes, I have the donut factory too haha). We’ll see how strong my resolve is once the latest & greatest update hits. Happy tapping!

Sounds like you need to increase your bonus.
Try farming less. You can make a big dent with as little as 24 farms. And keep your cash for RTT.

They didn’t give any free donuts on Dec.31. They did have bonus donuts when you bought them from the store,though. That left when the event ended.

I think ea is runing out of ideas ,or they dont want to spend as much money as before into the game.maybe because users dont pay for premium content as much as before because of Farming or something else…so sad. About 1 month ago i logged in multiple times every day. Now i must treat me to do it once.
If anything, I felt that the various stories for the Christmas update were all entertaining and that EA put more than a little thought into it all. While the game play itself wasn’t really anything new, I was ok with it. The introduction of all the younger characters did feel out of place, but I’m happy to have them.
See this same post ad nauseam every event, every year for the last several years yet the game still masses new players and veterans are still here and EA must still be making enough $ to consider it worthwhile to carry on, thanks to premium players. The Simpson’s is now the longest running weekly show in syndicated history. There are more than 25 seasons worth of characters. I’m a little disappointed that TSTO seems to be cautiously trending toward the early years when there are so many great characters in later seasons, but they have their (hater) reasons I’m sure. Dont be that hater.
Hello everyone & hope everyone is having a good start food 2019. During the last event had alot of problems during gameplay as in game stopping & getting the Bart screen of death. Since the event ended,,now it’s just kicking me all the way out of the game usually 5-10 minutes in. Frustrating,to say the least. Really hoping the next update fixes this problem. Just curious if anyone else been having these type of issues?

Sorry you’re having problems with the game. Knock on wood, but I’ve never had a problem unless it was something that was effecting EVERYONE at the same time.

After watching The Great Simpsina, I thought that the Peach Orchard from the beginning of the episode would make a great mini event. The currency would be Peaches or Peach pits/seeds, the prizes could include the Peach Orchard, Ewell Freestone who is the folk musician that sings “The Peach Song” to Bart and Lisa, peach wagons, peach trees (or more variety of trees) and the Springfield Horticultural Society which held the Chinese Lantern Festival (could bring back some Chinese items). Seth and Munchie, Homer’s mural and the Groovy Grove Natural Farm could be the premiums similar to Meathook and Ramrod being the premiums during Homer vs. the 18th Amendment event.

It is a newish episode (Season 22) which is where the Great Raymondo, his house, Milk Can, Cregg Demon, Music Automaton and an appearance of the Magic Palace. I found another two items that could be added: The Mighty Chimpopo and Chimpopo Motors could make a good character building combo. 🙂

I’ve been in an indecisive mindset for 4/5 days about nuking my town & just restarting since I’ve been collecting things at a rapid pace & i want to change the layout. Do you guys think it’s worth it? have you ever done it before? if so did you regret it?
I’ve done it too. Haven’t regretted it, however, if you many buildings it’s a lot of work and time-consuming. But after you’ve finished, it’ll be rewarding.
I’ve restarted once. I’d only advise total nuking if it’s a last resort (totally no free space to move things around) otherwise it is way easier to redesign one area at a time. For me, it took hours to redesign my Springfield after I nuked it. You also have to remember that a lot of buildings will end up in storage- which resets tax countdowns, etc. back to zero and the characters tied to buildings go into storage too. If you do nuke, remember to set up a few buildings for your neighbors to visit while you redesign 🙂 I have a few neighbors that have no town right now (post-nuking), so no place for me to help out friend points-wise :/
Definitely depends on how much stuff you have. Once I did it on purpose & regretted it. Another tinder my game glitched & put almost everything in storage. It took me like 4 days to get any semblance of order. I’ve been playing since Oct.2013,,play every day,,lots of stuff. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you want to invest hour after hour rebuilding. If possible,,buy a couple squares of land or just clear an area to move things around when you feel like it.

If you have free land to do some maneuvering with, I wouldn’t do it. I would recommend you start by grouping together like buildings that make sense to you. Then arrange areas based on the logic of your own design. For me that meant starting with a fairly large Krusty-Itchy & Scratchyland. Then I figured no one would want to live next to a large amusement park so I put my airport next to it along with the Outlands, factories, and a rougher neighborhood. I did have some designed sections that I just moved around, but for the most part it was all a jumbled mess. I’m something like 80% done, but then the snow hit and I just can’t design when it’s around.
Nope. Not worth it. I would probably stop playing if I nuked mine on accident…
my town is organized in a special comfy way: I know where to look for Maggie every time, because I put all those buildings in close proximity.
I also have an area in my town where I always play events. Next to my garbage donut making recycling area. This way I can efficiently assign the event and garbage tasks.
I keep this special “current event area” clean. I dump all the prizes during the event there, then after it’s done I move it all to another part of the town and design it. It takes me months to spdecide to start designing those sometimes, but I do it eventually…
I play since May 2015 and haven’t run out of space or hit the item limit yet…
and I never have problems with finding area for the next event…

The pros and cons of nuking were discussed pretty thoroughly in this episode of Addicts Live — https://tstoaddicts.com/2018/01/13/episode-23-happy-nuke-year/ — and there’s a link at the bottom to an earlier thread on which many Tappers discussed their experiences. That should give you a bit of an idea.
My advice is to store all the trees, walls and decorations in an area, then group store all the buildings together. Do that for a few areas in the space you want the center of your town to grow from. Next place City Hall and your Municipal buildings and start designing your downtown (don’t forget to put in rivers or lakes and monorail tracks first, if they will be part of the design). Then build out from the center, group storing as you go and pulling back out what you want as you go.
The advantage to this method is that your income stays intact while you rebuild, and the process is a lot less daunting than an entirely empty canvas to fill. Have fun rebuilding…I’ve never regretted redesigning my town and was surprised at how much of it really didn’t belong there in the first place. 😁
It’s a lot of work. I just build my town organically as I don’t want to spend a lot of time taking stuff down and swapping it to other areas. As a result I have several Halloween areas, Christmas areas etc as I’ve been playing for years. I reckon that is the way a normal town in the real world expands anyway.
Right on point! Organically grown Springfields look nicer IMHO than designed ones.

On that note, I’ve been thinking about New Year’s resolutions…not that my follow-thru has been exactly stellar in the past…but hope springs eternal, right? I gave up long ago on the usual promises…“lose weight, exercise more, eat healthier, spend less money on crap”…you know the drill. Anyway, this year I’m going more esoteric and focusing on the internal me. My resolution for this year is: “Just be a bit fu**ing nicer to everybody and cut them some slack…and along the way, lose the judgemental crap”. Yup…that’s it.
Seems like a small thing when compared to the huge problems we all seem to face in our lives, but if everybody (including our fearless leaders) would apply this seemingly insignificant change in attitudes, imagine what we could accomplish. I believe that “nice” begets “nice”, and pretty soon we’d have rampant kindness and politeness everywhere we looked…pretty heavy stuff.
Who knows…by next New Years we might actually have a world that we all want to live in again. Anyway, that’s my resolution for the next year…concious kindness for 365 days in a row…let’s all hope it’s catching.

Happy Sunday all, started off my morning by finally listening to the newest James album, gonna have to pick it up for sure. Sun is shining which helps to fight these winter blues, now just to motivate myself to accomplish something. Also I was curious if there is a post or if anyone knows how to find out what your bonus percent is. I searched tsto this morning but couldn’t find any clear answer. My conformometer is 150% but from my understanding there’s hidden bonuses. Been playing basically since the beginning, seems like I’d know this😕. Hope all you fellow Addicts have a great Sunday!
I believe that the hidden percentage went away when Krustyland was moved into Springfield. Whatever your conformometer is, is what it is.

The absolute limit is around 11,000 pieces, so you don’t need to worry till then.😁
