Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
We’re 9 days into 2019 and it’s time for our first update of the year! Not Yet Spring Cleaning, the latest mini-event in Springfield, is full of content we’ve been asking for! (Springfield U, Alice Glick, Land Tokens..to say the least!)
Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes. As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini event is your typical standard mini-event. Follow the questline to unlock prizes and call it a day…until the next event.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all new prizes…

I have been busy lately and have not given much time to the game. Last night I was given the opportunity to finish my current quest before the update ended. I unlocked Alice glick. However, every quest is locked. I assume because I did not unlock the last building. I’m kinda surprised with this. I have a character now who’s face appears at the top left corner of my screen as all the others. But I can never have her do anything. Strange.
So I logged in this morning and was prompted to complete the questline which I did a couple of days ago.
Anyone else have this happen?
Potentially multi-act?

No it’s just a popup everyone gets now since some were missing when a questline ended in the past.
I bought the stonecutters lodge and started the questline, got to the part that I had to tap 5 houses, which I did but now the questline is gone, I looked at the original post on the lodge, and it said that there is now a kids task that I have to do, but i dont see it …. Which task am I looking for?

Pretty disappointed Sideshow Bob doesn’t have a teaching job quest at the university tbh.
My Home Unimprovement task Pt 2 isn’t clearing, I just collected it (Willie finished), I got the same dialogue again, and then had to send Willie to do the Pt 2 task again. I don’t think it’s a multiple task? I can’t find this questline on the blog at the mo?
I’ve also noticed that I have a menu screen to allow me to collect the hard candies etc, but not a normal in game menu screen – if you know what I mean? The one pictured above.
Any thoughts on this anyone?! Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem. After I got Ms. Glick’s House the questline disappeared. I’ve tried reinstalling the game but it doesn’t help. Anybody got any ideas?
I must say that I am enjoying this event so far. I like the idea that Homer is not involved in the questline. I have about 30 other quests I can complete in my “new” Springfield now that I don’t need him for this event. I got backed up due to trying to level up quickly. Hopefully, I can get Janey and Database this weekend, so that I can use them for the event.
The prizes look decent since 3 of them all have one thing in common: Alice Glick. The other 2 are pretty random since one looks like 3 Brown Houses merged together in a sort of Brown House kaleidoscope and the other one could’ve had an entire major event tied with it. Maybe Springfield University could be a hint to the next major event and could also bring Springfield A&M with it.
Has anyone else’s game zoomed in so much that it’s almost unplayable?

Im thinking about just building a springfield in my big “have almost everything game”. Im going to waste all my donuts to make it legit, and then just use the bigger account.

Try going to the EA website login page…log in there and then log out again. Now try logging into your game. Don’t know why this works, but most of the time it clears the problem. Good luck 😁

Super happy about the ability to buy land tiles. Just having it done, once and for all, feels reeeeeeally good! Love it when EA makes updates that make game play more pleasurable! Next up, automatically getting 3 donuts added into your total, instead of always having to figure out which box. Hope this ups buyers purchase of sprinklesm so EA chooses to keep making game play better.
Also want a machine to feed my xp things into, so i can keep my xp point and rid tge items. Woohoo EA! Other than i need the 80 odd characters i still need released into my store to buy, great job!

You might have to manually search the app store for it or refresh the app store update list

I kind of miss the event icon Shortcut next to the daily task icon in upper right corner.
I figured it out. If you want the event hub icon, click the ? mark on a task, & the event hub icon will show up.
I’m waiting for Patric’s Friday rant about why we got Alice Glick after Hot Flash, and how we’re going to have 2 Alice Glicks now.
LOL… Why don’t you write it? The whole continuity of space/time is so fractured now…we might as well just circle back and do three or more versions of everyone. Young/Today/Dead. Why not? They have done that with a couple others…why not everyone.
Or they could just rename the game “Quantam Leap”? 😆

I thought it might be invisible, but clicking on the space were it was doesn’t select it & im able to place items were the building once stood.
You can’t adjust because it’s invisible. EA needs to send a patch to correct. But it’s in your town, you just can’t see or access it. Once they send a patch you’ll see it… meaning you won’t have to call to get it put back in your town
Do the land tokens accumulate or do you have to claim them from the building one at a time? I have a lot of land still to get including some still to buy for cash, a very welcome boost.
You have to clear the building much like you would any other building
I see the tasks for collecting candies are 4 hours, rather than the usual 3 for mini events.
No worries about finishing, plenty of time.

I like that it’s a kid-centred mini-event, I more like that I can finally get Lewis, and I even more like that a) Stone Cutters! and b) all the Stone Cutters are listed in the previous post (thank you kindly, Alissa) so I can put them all in their robes without worrying that I’ve forgotten someone. This mini-event gets the ‘prankmonkey seal of approval™’

Is anyone having issues putting things on the ice tiles? I have snow stuff on them, but I wanted to put some of the snow stuff from the last event on them and it isn’t letting me, turns the items red.
It is only most items from previous Christmas events (excluding the recent one) that can go on the ice tiles. I’m not sure on the Igloo Mansion but you can now put the Snow Bank on ice tiles and the Snow Mobile can’t go on ice tiles. It would be cool if the rest of the items from the recent Christmas event can go on the ice tiles.
Actually, it would be nice if you could put any item on any base at any time…why the are there any restrictions in the first place? 🤷♀️
I know right, I was going to place some pagan fences with The Peak Inn the other day and they wouldn’t go on pavement also the monsarno buildings can’t go on pavement so I keep them in storage. Everything should be able to get placed on grass, pavement and dirt at the minimum. The restrictions are really irritating and are very random.
Thanks a lot Alissa! I’m liking the event so far. I don’t get the meaning of Springfield U as a price, but no complaints. I bought GGR and the Stonecutter lodge, skipped a year ago (but repented after seeing some TSTO design artist using the tunnels in spectacular ways!), I think there will be no other purchases 😊
