We’re a few days into the first mini-event of 2019…Not Yet Spring Cleaning. What are your thoughts on the Alice Glick centered event? Thoughts on the GGR? How about finally getting Lewis in our games?
What do you think will be the next event in Springfield?
And finally, how about the rest of your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting?

What happened to the music?
Anyone else experiencing a lack of email notifications when new posts are added here? I checked my settings, they appear correct, not going to spam or junk, and if I allow comments to be sent, I get those. Just not sure where to go to troubleshoot this… even tried unsubscribing and resubscribing.

My kids that have a fairly new town, had the new event disapear completely from their town a few days ago. Everything is gone from their inventory too so I contacted EA. Anyone else have this happen?
I don’t see a mini event at all. Am I missing something?
Did you download the Christmas removal update from the app store? (basically, do you still have snow in Springfield or is it gone?)
Yeah I’m a nerd. I had gotten the app update but I didn’t realize that I didn’t have Bart free to do the task. Brain fart! 💨 LOL.
I’m just starting over, so I’ll have lots of land to buy, but in terms of GG Realty, I understand as long as I leave one land tile unpurchased, I can still generate land tokens. I assume this also works for ocean tiles? So just leave one ocean tile unpurchased until they release more land?
Yup, any land/ocean tile will work.
What is the largest amount of cash you can have in the game? I can’t seem to remember.
There’s an upcoming post about the amount in a couple weeks. (But spoiler alert, it’s $4,294,967,295)
I did the calculations and if I want to get all the land with tokens from the GGR it will take me ~245 days. That is a lot of land. Probably start from the bottom up since I ran a strip down to the land that can only be bought with tokens for my KEM farm. Good times.

I know I’m late to the game today, but I’ll ask anyways 🙂
I’m loving the pace of this mini event and all the content that EA made available again.
I believe that I started TSTO just after the original stonecutters event and have always wanted the content from the classic episode it was based on.
Does anyone have any hints on whether it’s really worth splurging on everything that I don’t have? I believe it will cost me around 300 bonus to get everything that I don’t have yet.
It’s all on such a big discount that I am having a hard time resisting 🙂.
I skipped over it last year cuz I was really new and my bonus percentage and overall game progress was still low, fast forward a year full of bonus percentage building and Kem farming and I’m much better positioned to get all the skins.
My take on the stonecutters skins are that they help turn a freemium character into a premium character, and it should be noted that a lot of stonecutters tasks are completed at the lodge so if you don’t get that then your task list will be minimal.
My best advice is definitely get number 51 (the alien dude) and the free skins, and consider if spending money on the lodge makes sense with where you are in the game.
It should be noted that the lodge unlocks a new character and also gives homer a premium skin (after the latte task). Some stonecutters are already premium so their skins are not really beneficial so those are your call.
I find the stonecutters table to be unnecessary, but it does give number 51 a 12 hour task (and you get a secret 10 donuts) and some people consider the visual task to be one of the best in the game.
Thanks, I got #51 because he is a full premium character for just 10 sprinkles. I also got the lodge because it looks great and number one was originally voiced by Sir Patrick Stewart. I did know in advance that the in game character wasn’t voiced, it doesn’t matter.

Happy Sunday all. Staying in watching the playoffs, but still tapping. What is the best way to boost XP %. I don’t KEM farm, I do $ farm. My XP is only 135% at about level 260. Any suggestions welcome. Have a great Sunday all and thank you to the admins for their hard work on the site.
Only way to get % is by buying stuff that costs donuts. If you really dislike KEM farming I’d recommend rat-trucks or bloodmobile. Not as good as KEM but still free bonuts. Idea is to safe up tons of money, buy charge the xp collider for 24h and place the trucks/mobiles. Sell them and repeat. After the collider is dead farm more money until you want to get more donuts.
There are a few non-donut spending ways. For example, if you play the Old Ruins game, finding and placing a flaming torch will boost your percentage by 0.20%. I found four yesterday, although the day before I found none. Also, sending the shuttle into space sometimes yields a Kodos or Kang Topiary. They attract a 0.50% bonus upon being placed. I have about 20 of those in my Springfield now. However, spending donuts is certainly the quickest way. As was mentioned again recently, the best investment is the Beach Hideaway. A cost of 40 donuts will give you 2% but an amazing 20% once fully upgraded. And you can get 5 of them! I also like to play the mystery box game for 6 donuts which often pays dividends when it comes to donuts and percentage boosting items.
Does anyone know if which marge’s speed up crops work on the real corn?
Yes it does but it’s only a four hour speed up… out of a 90 day grow time. I guess it adds up though, if you keep sending her multiple times a day
What’s this then?
Witch Marge (a skin) has a 4 hr task to “Speed up Crops”. When you use it, she stands outside Cletus’ farm and it really does speed up the “ripening” of the crops. Can’t remember if it is a percent off the total or an hourly reduction tho…maybe someone else remembers how the reduction works?
It takes an additional 4 hours off the crop’s task, while she does her 4 hour task.

After what’s seemed like a shortage of land for years I now find myself able to sort out my Springfield out into proper zones. I think I must have gone through about 50 or 60 land tokens but still have over a hundred land patches still to get. And while I’m trying to aquire more tokens for future use I’m growing about 200 KEM,’s at a time in my KEM Farm. I’m only going on 3 times a day though so making about 60 – 70 donuts per hit. Loving my game at the moment
Good Sunday, Tappers! I have a quick question:
– Is it more efficient to buy Knightboats (or other items in the vault) to boost XP or to simply buy multiple Mystery Boxes?
The Knightboat is in the Vault for 30 donuts and yields a 2.00% XP boost. I’ve read posts from others who suggest that farming for Mystery Boxes is the most efficient means of boosting XP.
My XP boost is currently at 571.50% and I’d like to boost it over 1000%. I am KEM farming.
BTW, I stopped playing TSTO with the Krustyland update last year. I was frustrated that I was out of town and missed doing anything with Krustyland at the time before it disappeared.
The short notice (and time/effort spent) for the change was disappointing. I felt that they should have given more notice and I also had hoped that they would have offered a little extra time. No luck.
I settled back at the end of the Christmas and earned most of the items. I actually enjoyed the simplicity of the Christmas update quest. I’m back at my grind (fair description, btw). I’d just like to boost my XP to help with the KEM farming.
I’m still using my donuts frugally (bought the Golden Goose, Lewis Clark, etc. but saving most of my donuts).
Thoughts?
P.S. – Should I farm for currency? I had a glitch and lost about $15 Million overnight last week (*and I have no reason to suspect the cause nor any desire to try and get EA to figure it out). I have a running balance of about $25 Million but I don’t want to shrink much below it. Should I house/building farm?
So best value for bonus % is the mystery box (you get average 1% every 8 donuts) or jet bikes when they turn up in the vault (2% for 20 donuts)
You could get a house farm but if you really buy a lot of boxes you’ll soon find having a bunch of Lars lads.
What do you do with all your lard lads? I’ve been doing the box thing a bit and it certainly helps. I just have a ton of those guys now and don’t want to put them all down in any themed place….
Got them all bunched up in the heights. At the moment I’m not going for aesthetics since I’m short on building space and use all my income to farm KEMs. Plan right now is to reach 1.1k%, buy all the land tiles and then start designing my town while reaping a nice 100 donuts per day. Should get the percentage in 1-1,5 months.

Huge glitch in my game yest. Still going. As I did the daily game challenge task. It’s still stuck on it. Doing the same task. Every time. And homer is frozen. Showing completed but goes to working on that daily challenge from yest. So cannot put any of of Springfield workers on any tasks. Cause there stuck in that daily challenge since yest. Grrrr. Cannot do Maggie playdoh for donuts nothing. Did a reboot and login and out. Shows homer in weird black box. Just not sure anyone else having same issue. Doing screen shots as donuts not appearing. All the time
Had problem in mine to send to Kem for milk. Did 6 or 7 times before storing Kem for moment then putting back out. That stopped cycle
I had the same issue. I had to delete the Krusty buger and that freed up all the characters.
Hope you’re all having a nice Sunday. Quick question though, is anybody else not receiving notifications from Tapped Out anymore? I stopped getting them during the end of last year’s Halloween update and haven’t gotten one since. I was just wondering if this was a problem from my end (maybe my phone or something) or if nobody’s getting notifications.
I occasionally get the advertisement notifications usually say about the event and to play today to earn whatever the character is but other than that I’ve also noticed I don’t get notified anymore about other stuff such when my characters have finished their tasks.
Check your battery saving options. I had it happen to me and that was the problem was that my battery saving options was preventing tapped out from sending me notifications. Let me know if this works have a great day

Checked the settings on my phone and that’s definitely what’s affecting mine. Must be something at EA’s end causing it.

Well mine disappeared from my town….not sure when but it’s been a few weeks, I think. Anyone else missing theirs and do you know where it went?
