It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

I’m sure I’ve heard of this bug before but can’t find it now. Playing on a fire10 and when it has to do an in-game update I get the spinning donut for about 1 second and it downloads about 2meg of the update and then I get the “cannot connect to server” error.
The message is a red herring (I still have great connectivity). I’ve made sure there’s plenty of space, done a cold reboot etc. Any ideas? Makes the game unplayable on this device.

Can’t seem to find the best place for this and I’ve reported it if ea and now wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
The majority of my characters are stuck in a daily challenge loop of krustiness. I did the check out the latest promotion challenge ” and now the characters are stuck in it. They complete it and I collect the xp and currency but the characters are not released to do anything else. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and no joy. I am getting xp donuts aplenty but can’t release them . Any ideas/suggestions?

Yes, it happens when you have too many characters performing a task. Usually you can store the building which releases the character. If you can not store the building, try building another one, then store the first one.
Why does EA find it necessary to change the order of character tasks? I prefer to have my characters on visual tasks if available so I’m okay with selecting the tasks on a few characters so they’re performing their visual tasks, but today I found almost all the new characters from Halloween have had their task lists reordered. I used to be able to just send them on the 4 hour task from the Unemployment Office, but now the default is “stay at the Sweldorado” or “try to win a blackjack”. The 4 hour visual task was moved from the top position, or default, to the 3rd or 4th position. Even on my phone it takes over 15 minutes to scroll through all of the characters to ensure they are on visual tasks, where I want them, instead of congregated around the Swelldorado or the Casino. plEAse EA, put the visual tasks back to default or let us choose (for those who would rather not see them all the time).

Rookie question: Do we get, for example, the % on Jobs, or vanity rating bonuses for items left in storage (inventory), or do we need to place those items in our town in order to receive those bonuses?
