Should I Spend Donuts On Golf ‘N’ Die Retirement Village and Principal Dondelinger?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Love is in the air friends!  Yes, Valentine’s Day is back in our pocket-sized towns!  And this time around things are going to be done, Springfieldian Style!  Of course, an all-new event means all new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

-Voiced
-Rides around on a golf cart for one of his tasks, and it’s pretty amusing.

Final Thought
Premium:
Not a bad buy, although I think there are better buys.  Honestly, I got this because it reminded me of Patric (although Patric has way more hair than Principal D). When I see him riding around on the golf cart I think “there goes Patric, ready to yell at a cloud!”  So if you want a Patric reminder in Springfield pick this one up!

Freemium:
If you’re limited on donuts, I’d pass.  Your better buy is CBGB with Nedward and Capri.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I already picked it up.  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at his tasks…

Principal Dondelinger’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Cancel Tee Time 1hr $105, 26xp Golf ‘N’ Die
Practice Putting Game 4hrs $260, 70xp Outside/Visual
Bottle Up Anger 8hrs $420, 150xp Golf ‘N’ Die
Cart Rage 12hrs $600, 150xp Outside/Visual
Unretire 24hrs $1000, 225xp Springfield High/Springfield Elementary

  1. Golf ‘N’ Die Retirement Village and Principal Dondelinger

Ok, I may spend the Sprinkles on this Character Building Combo just because Alissa said it’s kinda like Patric (lol, don’t ask how I behave on a golf course, the best way I could describe it as like at shooting gallery) 🤣

  2. In some great scenes, so very tempting to me.

  3. Patric as Homer’s high school principal… I could see it! 😀

  4. Unrelated but I noticed several premium decorations in my game have had their prices reduced so the news van now cost 28 donuts instead of 40, the apple and orange trees now cost 11 donuts instead of 15.

    • Same in my town too

    • same here, it seemed strange to buy a green dumpster for 7 donuts (bonus unchanged)

    • Same in my town too. The police car is in my vault this week and is priced at 28, so 18 after the rebate. Not quite mystery box %/donuts but close enough I am going to pick up a couple since I wanted a few for my town anyway. Think I’ll put them and the SWAT van around the Shelbyville buildings.

  5. Okay, I have a weird question.
So the pastor character has a golf-cart task, which irritatingly goes right for the dirt roads in my town. (Which are unconnected to the normal roads; nothing gets there on accident, but for some reason it’s a magnet to large NPCs, characters, and some tasks. It’s weird.) So, does this golf-cart task stick to regular roads, or does it do the same thing?

    • I had the same problem, so switched out my dirt roads (with sidewalks) for plain dirt “roads”…no more issue.

      • My largest section of dirt roads is already surrounded by dirt. I love the way it looks and refuse to change it; I just keep characters I don’t want up there otherwise occupied. (But I’m less likely to pay donuts knowing I’ll have to do that.)

  6. Speaking of donut spending. I am up to a 375% bonus multiplier, was at 300% 3 weeks ago. Should I keep at it with the mystery boxes until I get to 500% as fast as I can? Or should I buy some Date Night Boxes in hopes to increase my premium characters? Currently, I have 114 characters and only 21 of them are premium.

It seems like I should stay the course for 500, but I have so few premium characters that I really take a hit if I don’t get 3 donuts on the first try. I make enough per 4 hours to build 30 KEM, but I have been only doing 25 to stay cash even if I have to go another round for 2 bonus rounds.

I only have about 1.2 mil in cash. I was doing 28 KEMs for awhile and going until I got 3 everytime, but had a lot of bad luck for a few days and dropped below 500k very quickly. Some insight from you TSTO vets would be greatly appreciated.

    • I think increasing your bonus is better, in the long run. Consider that along the year lots of mystery boxes will be offered, and more bonus equals more donuts. Since KEM farming does not depend on characters (the income increase, at low levels, is nearly negligible), it would also benefit greatly from more bonus 😊

    • I might be wrong, but I’d go for the characters that come with buildings first, a 375 % bonus is ok to start with imo.
The characters and buildings will earn more cash. More cash leads to more KEM which leads to more donuts which leads to more bonus or more premium characters or bonus items …that leads to more cash again….repeat… 😉 makes it a circle of 🍩production.

      • Btw there are also quite a few premium characters that come with buildings or decorations that also give you a bonus.

    • I would get my bonus up to 500% first. Sounds like you’re generally doing a great job balancing your farming with mystery box purchases. If you can get a character for under 50 donuts, I’d say go for it, otherwise…stay the course. Once you get up to 500%, the donuts will come easier…at 800%, it’s all smooth sailing. Hang in there👍😁.

      • Will do. I think I should get to 400% this weekend. My end goal is around 750%. Thanks to everyone for all the good insight.

    • Raising your bonus is great, but regarding mystery box purchases, it also depends on how into decorating your town you are…
I have stopped buying mystery boxes and save donuts for vault purchases that help build bonus % – police car, jet bike, etc, and have been focusing on event items that raise bonus (like the cozy hammock in the current event)…
You spend a few more donuts in the long run getting your percentage up, but have more bonus items to fit into decorating your town the way you want (instead of the ongoing hunt for places to hide 30+ news vans)

  7. There should be a Simpson episode with Patric, Alissa, Wookie and Safi as guest stars. All the god work they have done for the Simpsons game and series.

  8. Curses! I didn’t know I needed a Patric reminder in my city until now!
Luckily for me, I had bought it right away.
Thanks a lot Alissa! If EA released a bundle with a Simpson version of you curators, I’d buy it even if it costed 1000 D 😍
