Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow morning, Wednesday, February 6th, Week 3 (Act 3) of Love, Springfieldian Style will be starting.  The official start time is 10am ET (1500 GMT).

While the Week 2 questline (and week 1 for that matter) won’t be going anywhere, so if you haven’t finished the prizes you’ll have a chance to complete it even after Week 3 starts, some of the premium items will be leaving the store.

So of you planned to purchase Principal Dondelinger (SIB linked) do so before it leave our games tomorrow morning.

Also, here’s some inside info to help you prepare for Week 3 to start…

Bart will be telling the story during Week 3.  Characters needed for week 3 tasks are:

There will also be one new premium characters introduced during week 3, and that character will be able to help with the currency earning for week 3.  (150 donuts will be needed if you’d like to purchase the character)

  1. I’ve completed act one and two but three hasnt shown up for me?

  2. Its already starting!

  3. I feel conflicted about this new format.

It’s definitely easier on casual players who want to collect everything and missing days is less of a problem. I miss a lot of the old elements, like being able to craft multiples of interesting event-items. My inventory has lots of crowds (now a donut-premium item), income-generating buildings, fun decorations, etc..

I miss the neighbor interactions which help event progress. EA has been slacking in this regard for many events now where the neighbor actions contribute so little to overall progress that I often don’t even bother.

Leveling up to be able to craft – that sucks and should not return. But I do like crafting-currency and the ability to pick-and-choose in order to get multiples of interesting items.

    • I must admit I liked the crafting options with the Halloween event, but hated the whole bonus %age thing.

Ideally I’d like to see something like the current format but with crafting options offering more choice in terms of the prizes obtainable.

Nevertheless I think I could live without the crafting if it meant a permanent end to the bonus percentage schemes.

  4. 🙈So 1500 GMT came and went, no update. Hard restart, no change. Deleted game and re installed (yawn). No update, checked Alissa’s msg. Definitely 1500 GMT, checked date, fookin TUESDAY. Off to the clinic tomorrow, either meds no good, lack of alcohol, or that dreaded senior moment. Probably the latter. Still it made my wife laugh when I told her. 🇬🇧😂😂😂😂😂😘

  5. Q: i finshed pt 5 of Rome-Eh & Lulie-Aye and didn’t get Groundskeeper Wilma, am i missing something?

    • Yup. You need to scroll up in the task box. You likely missed the required task for Willie. My guess is you did Bart’s task to “Own Shelbyville” and collected the 300 Fertilizer but didn’t scroll up and complete Willie’s task to make love poison. So scroll up in the box and you’ll see what you need to complete in order to get Groundskeeper Wilma.

  6. Thanks a lot Alissa! I’m very ready for this event 😀

  7. Thanks for the heads up…looking forward to it…have a great day 🌞

  8. So, do we know if this is what EA is planning for all future events…just 3 or 4 mini-events jammed together? Or, have they just given a majority of their programmers some “time off” as of late, and eventually we’ll get back to more traditional (major) events in the future? If this is the norm going forward, seems pretty lazy and boring…if you ask me.

    • Rusty Shackleford

Yeah, I hope they mix it up a little bit. I’m not crazy about crafting, but I wouldn’t mind a bit of it.

That said, I am enjoying the stories and the prizes are great, the mystery box has been super this time around. I have added a lot of great new buildings and characters to my Springfield. Been waiting a long time for Der Krazy Kraut. I have friends in Germany and so have created a nice little German neighborhood. Es ist Super!

    • I think only EA knows for sure

    • I am fine with the format, at least til I have finished redesigning my town. The extra days a week to be able to devote to design is great.

Thanks Alissa on the heads up on the new character. That will leave me at least nine more items to buy in my anonymous game.
