Business as usual in our pocket-sized towns. After a short hiatus, TSTO is back with an all-new mini-event in our towns, State of Despair! Of course, an all-new mini-event gives EA an excuse to stock our stores with returning premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the returning Little Lady Justice, Five Corners or Rose Quimby to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…

What Does It Do: Just a decoration.
My Opinion On It Now: So technically LLJ isn’t a returning item for the event, she’s a vault item, but they put her in this category so we’ve got it listed here. Don’t buy LLJ with the event. She costs more for the event than she does as a vault item. Plus her bonus % isn’t worth the 75 donuts.
Item: Five Corners
Cost: 70 Donuts
Earns: 0.50% bonus on all cash and XP

What Does It Do: Nothing, just another decoration for Springfield.
My Opinion On It Now: Total pass, unless you need it for design sake. Bonus % is terrible for donuts spent and it doesn’t do anything.
Item: Capital City Capitol Building and Rose Quimby
Cost: 150 Donuts
Earns: $200,22xp/8hrs

What Does It Do: Standard building and premium character combo.
My Opinion On It Now: Standard price for a standard combo. Nothing blowing me away with this, and nothing saying “DO NOT BUY!”…complete toss-up. If you like it, get it. If not, pass.

Bought it.. would love to host it in our very own Capital City in TSTO. That’s an event EA should do. For now, it’s substituting as the town hall for Shelbyville.
How much is LLJ when she’s in the vault? The SIB post has her listed at 75 donuts like she is with the event?
Also, how did people get Frink’s Stonecutter gear? He’s listed in the collection, but I don’t have it. I won all the prizes on the event when it ran, and bought the remaining outfits a few weeks back when they were 10 donuts each. I even have one for Arnie Pye and I don’t have the character. I can’t figure out how I’ve missed Frink.

I wish they would add some new items to the mystery boxes. I cleaned them all out over a year ago so never get mystery boxes any more. There are still stand alone characters, NPC’s, and plenty of buildings I don’t have that I would spend sprinkles on….and that’s not even taking into account all the skins I don’t have.
Now that I’m slightly more than casual donut farming, I’d buy them all!

Bought little lady justice and capitol building 😁, what’s the task that involves all the presedents, I don’t think I have done that and have all the characters as I didn’t have the mystery box?
Thanks a lot Alissa! I already had the corners, and I agree on LLJ. Since this is the third time I was offered Rose, I bought her, albeit at full price. And i don’t regret it, the questline was very funny!
I kind of like Five Corners, but I’m not going to buy it if they don’t offer desert to go with it. When was the last time we were able to earn or buy desert/cactus?
And you need the Gas Station with the sign “last gas till 5 corners” to put right next to it. 😆
Capital City Capitol Building and Rose Quimby seems to be the only reasonable Premium out of the 3 (Character with Building Combo goes a long way vs overpriced Decor with Bonus % that’s too small in value). I think EA could’ve offered up more, but you can say they did via the Mystery Box. 🤷🏼♂️
I bought the Capital City Capitol Building and Rose Quimby combo, with the two week break I was able to save up donuts. It’s a good storyline and has been a good addition to the event. It’s a long questline..
Also it’s just cool to have the interactions with the whole Kennedy-esque Quimby family. Joe, Freddy, Martha, Rose, Miss Springfield have all been involved so far (I”m on part 4).
Similar to having all the presidents together, that “what are you best remembered for” storyline was hilarious and went on for days.
