Just a quick reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday, March 12th) marks the end of the State of Despair mini-event! So, if you haven’t already, finish up that prize track, purchase your last few premium items, and be prepared to see the mini-event leave our games tomorrow morning! (and hopefully, something new arrives in its place)
What are your overall thoughts on the State of Despair mini-event? Premium items you purchased? Excited to have Governor Bailey and Judge Harm in Springfield? Where have you placed the prizes? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

I’m glad you’re still able to finish the one you’re doing. I will get the last prize that way. I’m happy they do that now; especially when you’re half-way or further along with a prize, it’s nice to be able to still get it.
I hope to see a “regular” major event after it, with crafting, friend actions and six week playing.
I am positive I will know pretty soon. 🙂
I went to pick up some last minute deals in the Mystery Box and found out I only had 45 minutes left. It is now 5:12pm PDT and the “State of Despair” is showing the message “There is nothing currently available, check back soon” Good thing I got all the Mystery Box items I wanted early. There is still over 13 hours left on the timer before I select the Mystery Box “View” button
Same here. I woke up at 6.44 am CEST and all the stuff related to “State of Dispair” in the store were vanished. There is only the icon, but the submenu is empty. Maybe it’s a glich.
The timer finished at midnight on the 11th. I emptied the box bar one item by 1145.
I’ve thought about this before and I think E.A if they wanted to put the effort into it could do it in a way that I think would work…. What I would do is just like they make an episode every Sunday they could have a short meaningless, story line everyday. We have the characters as an example one day Barney and Homer need to find Maggie because they lost her during a dramatic drunken encounter before Marge finds out and then after a day or two E.A changes the adventure. So after that Moe has to fight the Santa claus character for some reason then a day or two after, lisa has eats meat or something. Now we can still have events but maybe just the big ones Christmas, Halloween, etc.. Now instead of mini events we would just get decorations, characters, new tasks throughout the days and weeks for that particular theme they’re doing. Also friend interactions. And nothing has to change with the doughnuts or premium items. It’s just a thought. Thanks.
Although I agree with most comments, a longer event would be great, I like the mini events since there’s no time pressure. I was hoping for a St. Patrick’s day event, definitely a six week event. And multiple mystery boxes with a plethora of items I don’t have. Ahh dream on.
Picked up Theodore Roosevelt, Presidential estate and Freedom with this event. Did well with this event.

I thought the dialogue that went with the past presidents was great !!!
Just picked up a few of them in the mystery box & just doing the initial tasks will keep me amused for a while.

That’s basically how I would title this Mini-Event (basically what you got for free was no different than what you paid Premium for, except for a Building). I had more fun with the Mystery Box – haven’t we all learn to keep Kem Farming for discounted goodies?
The only despair is if EA blows off St. Patrick’s, but at the very least offers a Mystery Box. I will not complain (even the Vault recently has offered nuggets worth getting) because I have learned not to let this Game App get the best of me.
2019 has brought two Events (one more fun than the other), EA has time to deliver a surprise (aka I can get them a chance).👍
I picked up Eisenhower, Nixon and Washington. So I did well with this event.
I Finally got them in my B game – However; The Scandalgate hotel never has a payout for its 1 hour timer there. I got Nixon first in the box; So this has now been for the entire event that the building has generated no cash!
In my A town it’s still doing its hourly collectable. But not a brass razoo in my B town so far!
I need someone who can explain something I noticed in my game when clearing buildings. In particular, Brown houses. I have four. Yesterday and before I was getting 135 xp payout for eveyone cleared. Today my xp went from 1940.15% to 1951.15% by buying mystery boxes and my xp payout on the houses went down to 105 xp on each house. I haven’t checked other buildings yet. I wanted to see if anyone could help me on this.

The higher your XP bonus; The higher the payout! In my experience; Everything that generates XP is multiplied. I don’t bother turning on my collider as my XP is so high it takes ages for the XP & $ clearance to happen if using the very glitchy “Sky Finger”

I agree…would like to see something a little more interesting with a mini game or some other challenge included. Then again, I have a lot more free time than most, so maybe this format suits more people. 🤔😁
Yeah, I gave the last event an F. None of the quests or characters interested me in the least.
But on the plus side, this left me with a surplus of donuts to spend on the next event!
Let’s just hope it’s donut worthy…I’m not farming RTTs until I see what we’re in for. 🙂
