There is an update on the server side of the game right now. I’ve got to go through the files and see what’s incoming.
Initial examination tells me that this will be called Classless Reunion, and it will be another mini-event. This will start Wednesday (tomorrow) March 13th (1400 UTC, 10a ET) and ends Tuesday, March 26th.
Pulling details and info, but I really won’t have content up here until it goes live in our games. So for now just know that it starts tomorrow, and because it’s a mini-event you shouldn’t have to download anything from the App Stores.

I’m not really all that excited when the grand prize looks to be just a skin.
But oh well I’ll just keep tapping.
But it’s a skin from the classic The Way We Was episode. That alone makes it more than just an ordinary skin.
I have to say, if EA decided to release another mini-event to focus on fixing the glitches, rather than new content, I’m all for it. Luckily the bugs in my game do not make it unplayable. I hope the Galaxy Tab zoom glitch will be treated soon, for whomever suffers it.
Aaaaand today is the day I have lunch 6hrs in into my shift… tablet not charged.. characters in a 8hr shift. and have errands to do after work… perfect day for an update.
Another Mini Event? I miss the mega events, with new music!
I am looking forward to this event but I hope that when it is updated it removes the severe lag that I am experiencing.
Huh. I was expecting a 6-weeks event, or maybe a 4-weeks event. I didn’t expect another mini-event.

I keep hearing rumours about returning items, so I’m getting excited for this one! I’m sort of relieved its a mini event first as well – gives me a chance to clear some area and re-jig things ready for something bigger come Easter 😀

Ok, here I am being confused…again!
I’m not understanding the glitch with the auto sky finger thing. Not sure that’s the problem I’m having.
I asked for help a couple days ago but didn’t get any ideas. I was getting 135xp on my brown houses when cleared (at 1940.15% xp). I increased that to 1951.15%xp buy buying mystery boxes. Now when I clear a brown house I’m only getting 105 xp. I want to know why the xp payout went down. I don’t use the auto clear sky finger. I put it in storage this morning but my xp is still lower.
Anyone have a reason or solution?
I been having kind of the same issue.. I believe the usage of the SKY finger is short changing us the totals. example: When I TAP on all my houses manually I get about 2-3 attempts to get donuts, but when I hit the FINGER i’ll be fortunate if I get 1.. ONE!!! attempt… my finger is better than the skyfinger!!!!
Maybe the sky finger statue contributes to xp and when you stored it, it went down?
My sky finger is in storage. More trouble than it’s worth. I designed my town in such a way as I tap in straight line patterns left to right then right to left over 90% of my town so it doesn’t take long to do.
I got the update, but nothing happens. Everyone is roaming free

Maybe any St. Patrick’s Day content won’t go live in the game until the day of St. Patrick’s Day, which is (for those players on this site who don’t know what day that holiday falls on) March 17th.
Same here with the Galaxy Tab issue- It did a HUGE update then reverted back everything to the old Springfield File so loads of missing buildings and missing mountains. It’s like they attached the update to an old file 🙁
The only new character I see for the new mini event is ‘Prom date’ Homer. Weird.
Yea, and that’s it. Really small reunion. Mostly returning content.
Any event is better than no event
Instead of coming out with another event why don’t they fix all the glitches that people are having I would be happy to wait for them to fix everything and then come out with new events I think it would be worth the time and effort .

Well it was nice while it lasted however this update has reverted my Galaxy Tab back to being zoomed in with lots of buildings and mountains not showing up again. Hopefully whatever it was I did that broke this can be fixed easily
Same here on my Tab S3. I don’t think you did anything.
Was about to send everyone on a 24hr task. Glad I thought to check here first so I didn’t have to wait 11+ hours to start something new 🙂

DARN!! Another mini event! I guess I’ll just wait 2 weeks too see if a major event comes out by then. Well, I wonder what this will have in store.

Back to back mini’s… That hasn’t happened in a while. That means we get a St. Patricks with this and possibly spring break. So maybe a full on Easter event with spinning wheel of doom for April?
A real major event would be awesome. Our major events has turned into nothing more then mini-events bundled & stacked back-to-back
I actually like mini events and not having to grind every 4 hours. It would be nice of they could incorporate some kind of crafting
well it looks like the new update has returned my galaxy S3 tab back to what it was before the last mini event. Loads of buildings not visible and zoomed in too far. wont be placing buildings and redesigning for quite a while as hoped.

I’m more happy that there IS an update rather than what type of update it is.
By the way (the update may fix this issue anyway) but for anyone experiencing the auto-collect glitch without rewards; I’ve been avoiding this issue lately by having reset the Sky Finger collection time a week ago and then placed it in storage. Now I collect all goods, cash/XP and land tokens whenever I want and am in control of the collection time since my collections aren’t based on the Sky Finger timer anymore.
Yeah I noticed that as well. The auto collect sky finger doesn’t seem to be giving the right xp. It’s like it gives you whatever was visible on the same screen as the finger?
Whatever the Sky Finger cleared on your map initially when you first tapped it, those are the items you will have a problem with, either by glitching as a double drop or by being “auto-collected” by the original Sky Finger 24H timer.
If you reset the Finger timer with donuts, whatever that original sky finger timer would have auto-collected, should be reset. That’s what worked for me, although Charles did mention he is having different issues in different games, so my method is only worth a try.
Figured that was happening, as there’s only one new character in the list. Sigh. Really looking forward to the next big event. At least they got rid of the character glitch for the monorail guy in my b game. Hoping all this extra time means they finally got rid of the 1, 2, or 3 donut option and just let my sprinkles add up in my account when farming.
With such a long event lag, hope this means something super special is coming to our games in 2 weeks! 😁

Some people still have zoom related issues as well, and the sky finger not working fully properly.
I am still ZOOMED in – please address this in your patches EA! (Kindle Fire 7).
from what i can see in the files, they’re trying to fix it.
As I’m sure you are aware, the frustration here is that it was fixed, then they broke it again.
