We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Back to back mini-events in Springfield, first time I can remember that happening. Thoughts?
While there’s a mini-event going on, the real story of TSTO right now is the Yearbook Mystery Box. What are your thoughts on the box? Have you tried it? Get anything good?
How’s your designing coming? What are you doing with your town? Share some photos in the comments below! A heads-up, I”ll announce this later this week, but planning on doing a smorgasbord Showoff on March 26th. Basically a free for all where you can send me screenshots of any part of your Springfield. Just so you have a heads up on designing… (If you need a refresher on how to add photos to the comments check out this post)

Is there any way to run the “Barney Streaking” animation now that I’m past that in the quest line? I don’t see anything like that in his tasks, and I was thinking he might streak Homer and Marge, but no such “luck”!
The task in the main questline required Homer to be free but it took place in the Springfield High School and was a only one time task. If you bought the Prom Photo Booth, you can get a visual task of Young Barney streaking as long as you have Young Marge and Young Artie free. The task is in Young Marge’s list.

Is anyone else eager to store The Original Brown House and Springfield University? They were from the January 2019 Not Yet Spring Cleaning mini-event but still cannot be stored.
Usually event buildings cannot be stored during the event in which they appear but as soon as the event ends they’re typically storable.
I recall it took a while before Stardust Drive-In and several other buildings from the September 2018 Super Powers mini-event could be stored, so this isn’t an unprecedented issue. That said, eventually the situation can get really annoying.
Wow, I just tried it and you are right, it cannot be stored. That’s odd. I incorporated them in to my town so I’m not worried, but why would they do that?
Ms. Glick’s House is another building from the same Event which can’t be stored. Hopefully EA will fix this eventually. 🙃

Anyone know when’s the next time Rabbi Krustofski is coming back? I know that now is a good chance to grab Lyla and The Peaked Inn. With her and Rabbi Krustofski my team of B.S. League will finally be complete.

Help please! I won Little Helper Ralph in the mystery box but I can’t complete the quest line. On part three, it won’t allow me to send him to get caught in the assembly line. What’s going on?
You need the Toy Workshop.
How do I get that?
I don’t believe it’s available at this time.
There are several items in the box that have “roadblocks” in their questlines with missing content. EA didn’t think those things through when putting together the box it seems. Hopefully, they’ll resolve the questline issues with a patch, until then there’s not much that can be done.
Thanks for the info. A little disappointing to say the least. Oh well—-at least I got Prairie Maggie, which I believe is the only Maggie skin in the box.
I came across the Mars colony quest line but I just hit the upgrade for donuts and it gave me the full Mars colony 🙂 and didn’t have to send my characters to the jobs related to the upgrade.. woohoo… yaay.

I should be embarrassed to say this, but am not so…. I spent over 1000 donuts on that yearbook, I had the donuts, I now KEM, in the past years (Before KEM) I spent a lot of money on the game, even bought stuff that I didn’t want and was left over. 🙂 so yeah yearbook is empty now. yaaay *shame* but yaaay….
don’t be embarrassed. I’ve spent about $600 this week and will spend probably at least that getting enough donuts to clean out the box. I’m a completionist and want everything!

I’ve spent almost 2000 donuts. All farmed. Just farmed another 1500. Been playing for four years so took a bit to get to good bonus percentage.

I really loved the event many years ago where you got father sean and sharry bobbins. I’ve always wanted something similar back.
The new event format is incredibly boring for me.
I think EA have got away with a very lacklustre mini event by having the huge mystery box. However, surely the next event will make up for the recent lull.
Just frustrated that I have spent too much on donuts to only have the game not work properly!!! Still not zooming out. I can’t place new items,they all go in storage. I should just quit the game, but the money spent means the game should operate.

Our class song was Alphaville’s Forever Young so I’ll start with that.
New Wave high energy dance music was big so I’m going to say middle would be populated with groups like B’52’s, Dead or Alive, Pet Shop Boys, Information Society, the Communards, ChumbaWumba, probably had some Prince in there “Let’s Go Crazy!” I graduated in ’88, so Im sure we partied like its was 1999.
The runner up for class song was the perennial favorite Changes by David Bowie, but seeing as how we were about to graduate I’m thinking “The Future is so Bright, I have to Wear Shades” by Tim Buk Three was the last song.

Howdy neighbor, totally agree about getting a little bored with the game, every week is just another mini event, including “big” events. Don’t want to complain, because something is better than nothing, I’m just gonna need them to switch it up every once in a while -no one likes the same position all the time EA!😜 I was hoping to be tapping leprechauns or dropping off gold to neighbors for St. Patty’s Day this month, any change in format or neighbor interaction, but no such luck. Instead, I’ve been spending this “down time” doing some redesigning of areas that probably didn’t need it. Oh well, it’s March, still plenty of year left for EA to switch it up. And I don’t want to seem too ungrateful, I was happy to pick up the witch and Shapes building in the mystery box…just looking forward to something new I guess. I like your idea, ebron, about a spring event. Guess we will wait and see. Hope you (and all my neighbors and non-neighbors) had a relaxing weekend! ✌

I too am bored with the mini event format but at least the Yearbook mystery box has given me a lot to play with. My inventory, which already had a substantial backload, is now loaded with future projects. Items I’d passed on previously even with a rebate were no brainers when I could line up a good queue and get 5 for the price of one formerly.
A good amount of last week’s Open Thread wish list was instantly granted. Still a few items from the Box I want but harder to get a good grouping . (I’ve been lucky so far in that my only groaner has been the Yard Work Simulator) Looks like it won’t shuffle anymore until I get something.
Since the timer disappeared looks like there’s speculation it might be permanent. So for those hoping for more items added, it could still happen I think.
I was thinking this past week what my favourite events have been since I’ve been playing. I enjoyed Clash of Clones a lot. I also enjoyed the sports event that I think aligned with the World Cup.
Other than that – I miss the old school whacking day event
Quick question for someone, got black beard but can’t get past the first task in the quest. It says find his pirate treasure I don’t know if you need the airship which it didn’t come with or what, I did pull out all the treasure chests out of my inventory to no success. Any ideas?
You need the airship which is not available in the game. I had to email EA and ask about it (see the thread in the comments to the mystery box/yearbook post)

I’m surprised that there isn’t a offer to get donuts free a cheaper price or so some other incentive to spend donuts for the mystery box.
I find the sky finger statue to be completely worthless. I’ve used it twice the first time because the game told me to and the second just to verify it doesn’t clear character jobs. Why? Why not have it just clear everything once every 24 hrs? It would be easy to set it up once a day, where like in the morning for instance I have everyone ready to clear after 12 hr jobs. If the sky finger cleared everything that morning it would be extremely useful once a day, However as it is now it’s (for me anyway) the way I have my town set up clearing characters manually I end up clearing 98% of housing and business income with them. So maybe ea will change it but until than it’s collecting dust in my inventory. Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

It is always meant to clear the buildings and decorations that generates income, not the character jobs. There was a glitch with it both good and bad which had the buildings’ income reset which meant people can get a lot of income from the buildings and special buildings like Golden Goose Realty and the Little Lisa’s Recycling Plant earned lots of Blueprints and Land Tokens until the start of this event on Wednesday when EA fixed it. There were some people that didn’t have any income at all from their buildings when they used it but I think that was recently fixed as well.
I’ve never quite understood this school of thought (though am not saying it’s wrong)…the game is called The Simpsons TAPPED Out. One has to accept that a game named that will involve some amount of tapping. Otherwise it’d be The Simpsons Out. Which no one wants.
Hah! I had the same thought, I also thought I was being shortchanged too but I think the update helped. Now when I tap it I see my $ and XP climb substantially more. It’s a great feature when I’m in a hurry or not in the mood. And there are players like Dr.Tyler, me as well who have character interaction/placements they don’t want to lose and prefer individual placement + you can always use your character completion button, which is what I usually use to scroll me around town anyway. Now you just have another option is all. Mine is tucked away in my Praiseland so there is no chance of me using it on accident.
A lot of people asked for it. I felt the same as Rasea, but since it’s here- I’ve used it, the bigger my Springfield gets, the more I’ll appreciate it

Yesterday I was kicked out of the game as I was buying tons of Burns Mystery Boxes to raise my bonus %. When I got back to the game I was missing over 1000 donuts. I later earned 150+ donuts KEM and Rat Trap Truck farming and lost that too when I left the game for an hour.I should be mad and complaining to EA, but I don’t care. I still have over 9000 donuts and at 3002 bonus % I can make that back in a few days. Spent over 1000 donuts on the Year Book Mystery Box and got a lot of things I wanted and a lot I didn’t. I don’t know if I will try again as there is nothing I really want. I am hoping we get a real Major Event soon. Aloha from Hawaii.
This always happens when you loose the connection with the servers or when the game crashes. Happens to me too 😡
You can sync every five minutes by popping over to friend visit and back, This would reduce the impact of connectivity disruptions.
Gettin a little bored with the game…too many minis, too little content. Anyway…pulled up the old “The Room” series and playing again from the beginning. Hope the next update is a little more challenging cuz I’ll run out of “Rooms” by next week.😁
I like the minis and the mystery box which is full of past items I missed, unless you have everything then I see your point.
Just started playing last fall. I love everything about this game! I like the mini events. I love this box of stuff. One ? no one has been able to answer. Have you ever counted your NPC Krustyland characters? I am at five stars on everything, but only have 12, everything online says you should have 30. Have any of y’all counted how many you have?
Only had 3 things I still wanted …got em now, so just kinda cruisin till the next update.🙂

So interesting twist today in the game.
Having an IPhone X the tasks have always been partly hidden by the notch.
Today when I opened my game the task list on the far left and the daily challenges on the far right have shifted a few inches to the center of the screen.
Nope don’t like it.

Of all the things I’ve hauled in from the Mystery Box, Deuce’s Caboose Chili Dog is the only thing I can’t find a place for. The scale is ridiculous, even in proximity to the enormous Condos at Springfield Glenne. I don’t have any buildings in storage, this could be the first.
Instead of thinking of it as a train size car, I imagine has a huge building that was designed to look like a caboose. Then you can put in a theme park as a huge restaurant or train museum, etc.

Same thing with the pirate character “Blackbeard”, it comes without his ship “Ghost Pirate Airship” so the quest “No Leg to Stand On” stops at part 1. I remember this has happened before with other bundles, and after a wile it will be fixed……
Am I the only one whose tapping has SLOWED DOWN horribly. What used to take 5 minutes now takes 30-45 minites.
That’s EXACTLY what I was going to write! It’s ridiculously slow to a point of not being able to do anything I used to. I can’t even farm anymore because it takes 8-10 seconds to put down each KEM or bloodmobile. I’m guessing it’s slow on purpose. 😡
You phone or pad is running low on memory. Shutting down and restart might help.
Removing non essential stuff from your storage memory will help.
As a last resort you could remove TSTO, reboot and reload the game.

Did anyone else have to download a whole lot of MBs this morning just to have your town force-zoomed? It’s hard to describe it otherwise – but I’m now zoomed-in more than I’m comfortable with and can’t zoom out.
I got an update on my IOS devices a couple of days ago. No issues.

Two things have jumped it at me as I collect every item in the mystery box. I just have a pile of snow because I missed the event it was tied to, but I have a pile of snow. Also getting the Victorian ufo sand Ray gun you still don’t get Kang. I love all the new characters and building and decorations though!

Now I’m concerned though I won’t ever get Kang because I’ve read on a wiki for tsto: If the player did not purchase the Ray Gun during the Treehouse of Horror XXIII Event, and purchased it during the Treehouse of Horror XXIV Event, they would get Kodos, while Kang came with the Victorian UFO
