Should I Spend Donuts On the Returning Springfield University or Tongue-Kiss Point?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Business as unusual in our pocket-sized towns.  Back to back mini-events, that’s certainly a turn for the different in town! Of course, an all-new mini-event gives EA an excuse to stock our stores with returning premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the returning Springfield University or Tongue-Kiss Point to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…

All Returning Items Leave Stores March 26th

I know some of you are thinking, “Returning content? Besides the Mystery Box?” Believe it or not, there are still some straight donut buy items you can get in the store with this event outside the Yearbook Mystery Box…

Item: Springfield University
Cost: 25 Donuts
Earns: $150, 13xp/8hrs
Previous Post: Details
What Does It Do:
Building for Springfield, earns cash and XP.  Has a permanent (4hr) task for Marge, take a Night Class.
My Opinion On It Now:
This was JUST in our games as part of the January Not Yet Spring Cleaning mini-event, not sure there aren’t a whole lot of you that are missing this item.  I feel like 25 donuts is an ok price for it, but it’s still so new and not an “in-demand” building that you should hold off for now.  This will likely appear in a Mystery Box down the road, and it doesn’t do a whole lot to justify spending donuts. For now, this is a pass.

Item: Tongue-Kiss Point
Cost:
55 Donuts
Earns: 3% bonus on all cash and XP
Previous Post: SIB
What Does It Do:
Animated and comes with a questline
My Opinion On It Now:
Really it remains unchanged from last time.  It’s not a bad bonus % for donuts spent, but it has a large footprint.  If you like it, get it.  If not pass.

What are your thoughts on the returning content?  Any items you’ve picked up?  Passed on?  Placement in Springfield?  Sound off below, you know we love hearing from you!

I’m sorry in advance as I know this has nothing to do with the event but I am at a loss. Feel free to grizzle at me if I have done the wrong thing (I’m a bit new) Can someone please tell me why I am having to upgrade 26 business centres in The Heights? I thought you could only purchase 10

    • I think some people’s game have a glitch where you can purchase more than 10 of these buildings. I’ve read about it on this site some time before. Also I’ve seen that one of my neighbours has about 50 of these buildings. Sorry I couldn’t be more help. 😊

Thank you so much for replying. It has been driving me nuts, everytime I take them out and try to group them together I just end up with more and more! A bit like a Gremlin when it gets wet 😀

  2. If EA planned to rerelease Springfield U. so soon after it was originally released in that January mini-event, it now makes sense that it could not be stored long after that mini-event ended. (Usually buildings that were initially released in an event can be stored once the event ends.)

However, the Original Brown House was released in the same January event when Springfield U. was released but the OBH STILL cannot be stored. What the heck?!

  3. Tkflash20 that looks awesome thanks for sharing. 👏 🐕😃

  4. I invested in Tongue Kiss Point back in October ( ♥️ it)
Why EA is offering up Premiums / Prizes so soon again for mere sprinkles?
    Is this The End? 😮

Not sure I follow your thinking here. If TSTO were ending, then I suspect we wouldn’t be seeing mini events or new features added. But we’ve gotten the photo feature, the finger, and constant mini events. This doesn’t look like a game that is going away.

I hope they keep the yearbook around and keep replenishing it. The vault is too limiting

  5. The tongue kiss point looks great but I’m sure that a lot of us will use their donuts on the Year book… As long as it is available.

Luckily, I bought 4800 donuts (2400*2) when it was on sale recently, (now became a donut farmer) so I’ve been able to get a lot of new items thanks to that box. So many that I think I will have to remake my town entirely. Have you guys ever blown up your town ? (store all)

And thank you for this website, very useful !
BTW I’m french so my english might not sound natural.

  6. How do you get the mini events they never show in my town it’s really frustrating that they have these mini events but I can’t participate

I like objects that have raised terrain as it adds variety to my otherwise flat town

I used tongue kiss point to disguise the fact that the Springfield Dam cannot connect directly to the water tiles.
