Well, we kinda sorta had something that resembled an update in TSTO this past week. Our games sure downloaded content and a questline. I don’t know if I’d really classify it as an update though. To me, it feels more like “busy work” your assigned when your real teacher is out sick and you have a substitute that day. Come on EA, you can do better. Ask Mr. Bergstrom for help if you need it. Anyway, your thoughts on the content? Questline? What would you have done differently?

The fastest way to earn Hollywood awards aside from using Springfield Heights and sending a bunch of people on tedious tasks is the Gogglebox theatre if you have it and some cash and donuts to spare. 200k cash for 5 awards (3hrs), and can be sped up to produce instantly for 2 donuts. So essentially for 400k cash and 4 donuts you get 2.25% bonus if you’re impatient and time short like me 🙂
I seem to recall some trick to make money and XP flow faster after tapping. Anybody know it? Now that I’ve reached over 300 characters I’d prefer not having to wait five minutes for it to finish.
visit a friends town then come back, job done!
If you do the other town thing, make sure you’re not going to get more than one chance at bonuts. If you leave with more than one pending bonut chance, you come back to all the cash but only one donut choice.

Anyone else having significant “server” issues? I lost about $15M in donut making BloodMobiles when it disconnected from the server and “forgot” a ton of donut level ups.
Yes. It’s been disconnecting me a few times a day for the last couple of days.

This routinely happens to me. My solution is just farming fewer bloodmobiles at one time like 6 to 10.
I got tired of losing donuts to disconnects, so now I lay out 6, collect on 6, layout six, collect on six, etc…till I fill up my space. Then sell the whole block and start again. This way, I usually only lose out on a couple sets of donuts when they dump me, and it isn’t any more trouble than laying them all out at once. Happy Farming😁.
Anyone else having problems getting into tapped out?
I put Magic Academy into my inventory to free Milhouse for a task and now I can’t find it. :-/

It’s probably under one of the other categories. Sometimes the buildings aren’t under buildings.
I just went through every category. It’s not there at all.
Can the Magic Academy be sold? Maybe I sold it by mistake. The $ button is right next to the inventory button.
It can’t be sold. It’s in the inventory just not in any subcategory. Just go through the main part with all the items. Thankfully it’s not too far in (mine was after debris and before some SH business centers).
It may be gone. I’ve had and lost Fallout Boy 5 times. I’m so stubborn I keep contacting EA and they keep giving him back in my inventory. But I send him on a task and he disappears. Now that I’m through Marge at Bat I’ve once again logged out, cleared cache uninstalled, reinstalled and I’m going to try to set him out on a task again, but I expect him to once again leave Springfield for greener pastures.

I dont think so. Ok I just stored it. I couldn’t find it under the sections but I did find it in the main Inventory list the big one when you first open the inventory you hit the big yellow arrow that points left. That’s where I found it. HTH 🙂
I’ve been grinding and have 116 tennis courts for a 261% increase (putting me near 700%, up from about 430% before the event.) I don’t know where I’m going to fit these into a design, but I’m happy for the boost to money and XP!
Don’t get me started. I was grinding up to Friday and accumulated 864 tennis courts, raising my bonus significantly. Needed 54 tiles of land to place them all behind my Lard Lads. Stopped grinding cause I have no place to put them now, lol.
Why do you keep so many Lard Lads out there? Isn’t the return on tennis courts higher?
Lard Lads don’t help with bonus percentage. They are just an alternative source of income.
I stored all but the four different Lard Lads. They take too much space.
I have about 300 green tennis court far away from my Springfield. Not counting anymore.
I meant: if you’re short on space, replacing 1 Lard Lad by the equivalent area in tennis courts would yield an extra ~10% income on all other buildings, which should to be compared to the income of the 1 removed Lard Lad. You must have a huge bonus multiplier to not do it!
Gotcha. It wasn’t that high, but after adding over 800 tennis courts, I’m up another 2,000%+.

I need land… if the game is not dead gimmie GGR. Or atleast let me friggin buy land like old times. Town is at a halt , and I already shrank alot of my creativity.
When Alissa tells you to do something, you do it, and her words on GGR were something like: YOU NEED TO BUY THIS NOW!!!
But yeah, how come it’s not available for purchase under the premium section? They have lots of crap there that isn’t worth 1 donut, but no GGR.
No complaints here though as the yearbook gave me the Springfield sign and Frinks lab on the first try! So I got some pricey items for just 30 donuts each. Woo hoo!

I think this yearbook box and tennis court glitch are connected and planned. Thinking they are letting current players increase bonus percentage before there’s a significant change to the XP to bonus donuts conversion.
You think they’re going to kill KEM farming?
Don’t think they will kill it. Just significant change. Up kem price, lower kem xp output, increase xp needed for donuts, something.
There are other options. KEMs are used because someone calculated they had one of the best returns in XP for their cost, but we can use other stuff to mine XP. If they change the building, I’ll just switch back to Statues of Justice.
Why do you use KEM instead of rat trap trucks? With KEM you have to wait hours for your XP.
I think KEMs are useful because they’re really cheap until you hit some threshold.
Because they’re the best bang for the buck. I don’t mind the build time.
What is the tennis court glitch?
Not really a glitch but you can up your bonus percentage yugely by buying a ton of them. I’ve got about 100 of them so far.

Hi Ebron, yes the game is giving us extra time these days, was nice during tax time.
I mean, I know the update sucks, but I’ve been waiting for some down time for ages to start working on my Springfield, so was enjoying a brief eventless spell.
Though, as soon as I noticed the tennis court blunder, I started grinding SH pretty hard. It’s only at times like this I wish I had all the monorail/sh chars.
I think I’ve finally sussed Tsto. A week ago my accumulative bonus was 132%, I had no Beach Hideaways and 95% of SH buildings in my inventory. Now I’m on 700%, hitting 32 bonuts a day and looking forward to actually being able to afford premium content.
If I loved Tapped Out… and were addicted ….
and If I had the cash available…
I would also spend the 4 donuts to rush the Googoplex Theater to get 10 trophies to buy more tennis courts.
(It is the cheapest donut spend to percentage ratio in the game.)
I would spend everything I had (Cash + donuts) to get every single one I could.
Do this until 1500% and everything will be less of a grind.
Do this until 3000% and you will be rich.
You still have time.
“Update” was not great…I think something big is coming…if not, anything is better than nothing,…and nothing isn’t really that bad. Who’s with me?
Not so much. “Nothing” is rather bad when there might as well be something good instead (you know: why “live” in a vacuum if you like breathing? 😉 )… The “anything” we got now is barely better than nothing (if you already got all the old stuff)… I sure hope there will be “something big”, but do I think so? 50/50 at best (or maybe just 20/80)… Just one point where I’m absolutely with you: this “Update” was not great.
Perfectly entitled to that opinion. If I wasn’t enjoying the game anymore, as you seem to not be, I think I’d rather just look at the positives the game has provided me, and will continue to do so in the future, rather than whine about it….but hey that’s me. Oh…if you can adapt the way you think about life,….something big is always coming.
Ahhhh. recovering from chaperoning a Prom last night. got to bed at two. Had a great time though, dancing, and getting the kids out of their chairs and onto the dance floor.

What is the cash limit?
At the time I received the message, it was a red 4294967295, which is 2 to the 32nd -1.
I only have to one bit to get at the maximum amount of cash.
I hate to be a downer, but I’m a pragmatist too. I worry about the future of this game. Marge at the bat is a bust. I’m not even sure why EA gave us this “update”. It’s obviously a quest line from the Tap Ball event, that- for whatever reason- was left out of that event (probably couldn’t fit it in). I suspect that this “update” was filler to keep us engaged (if only a little) while EA comes up with something else. I’m still thinking that the end is near.
Again- sorry to be a downer, but I call ’em like I see ’em.

Kinda down about the game….bummed to read so much negativity as of late. Missing the many “regulars” on here…..hope EA gives them a reason to be back soon! Ive been dabbling in the yearbook….still lots in there. But I’m not too interested in much of it. Oh well…..I’ll never leave. Lol. They’ll have to pull the virtual plug for that to happen!

Morning Sonic. We’re all preparing for the final season of GoT down here; it’s got so ridiculous that this round of the AFL has been called the Game of Thrones round (altho, to be fair, both are on Fox so I guess it’s just cross-promotion dressed up as something the footy code actually cares about). I’m just grateful I’ve got a list to submit this week; I attempted to substitute MediaMonkey for iTunes and almost lost my entire collection. MM does have one saving grace, tho: it allowed me to “normalise” the volume of all my songs so I don’t have to leap up and turn the stereo down suddenly during random playback on my iPod.
