TSTO Character Profile: Aristotle Amadopolis

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

So The Marge at the Bat update gives me an opportunity to do something I didn’t do last year, and that’s cover Aristotle Amadopolis’ tasks.

Aristotle originally arrived as a free character, via the questline, during The Springfield Jobs event (last Spring).  And because he was awarded via the questline and not the prize track, I never went back around to cover his task list and other details about him.

So Aristotle’s arrival in Springfield once again with the Marge at the Bat update gives me a chance to circle back.  So the update is good for something I suppose. 😉

So here’s a look at the details behind Aristotle, Shelbyville’s Nuclear Power Plant Owner…

In the world of The Simpsons, we’re first introduced to Aristotle in Season 3.  Some of you may be thinking…”Of course, he’s from Homer at the Bat!”  And you would be right, however, we were originally introduced to Aristotle a few episodes earlier.  12 to be exact.

Aristotle’s first appearance on The Simpsons was in the episode “Homer Defined”, S3, E5. When Homer “saves” the Springfield plant from a meltdown, Mr. Burns introduces Homer to Aristotle.  Ari, as Burns calls him, wants Homer Homer to give a pep talk to the workers at his plant.

Of course in typical Homer fashion, his “hero” status blows up in his face when (while visiting) the Shelbyville plant faces their own meltdown and they turn to Homer to save them!

In true Homer form, he again reverts to “dumb luck” and saves the Shelbyville plant, but is exposed as being…well, an idiot.  This is where the phrase “to pull a Homer” comes from.

We meet Aristotle again later in Season three during “Homer at the Bat”, S3, E17. He’s having a meal with Burns at the Millionaires club when news comes down that the Springfield team has made it to the Championship game.  This is where Burns and Aristotle famously bet 1 million dollars on the game.

Aristotle arrived in our pocket-sized towns via The Springfield Jobs update.  As he and Mr. Burns placed bets on who could score the biggest heist.  Check out The Springfield Jobs Event info here for more.

And now, on with Aristotle’s tasks…

Aristotle Amadopolis’ Permanent Tasks:

Take Non-Suspicious Photos 1hr $70, 17xp Springfield Nuclear Plant
Give a Motivational Speech 4hrs $175, 45xp Outside/Visual

And there you have it my friends, a little backstory and the full set of TSTO tasks for Aristotle Armadopolis!

  1. Thanks a lot Alissa! I like this character, he’s a nice antagonist for Ol’ Burnsie 😄

  2. My next quest is to get the characters who give a speech together in one screenshot, think there’s 4 or 5 can do it 😁

  3. plasma_springs

I did not get Aristotle during the mini-event despite completing everything in the quest line very early. Any suggestions on how I can resolve this?

  4. I had lost 3 months of my game due to the Great Roll-Back Glitch….so I’m really glad to get anything back that I lost in that period. Still waiting for Milhouse’s Nana to come back around. Thank you for the post helps to refresh my memory about the smaller characters.

  5. Yeah, the corn thing is a bit disappointing, hence I’ve only done it once.

I like that episode where Homer prevents the reactor meltdown by using a childish rhyme. For some reason I didn’t remember that Aristotle was in this episode, thanks for the info Alissa.

  6. A little off topic, but I just harvested my first field of “Real Corn” at Cletus’ Farm. Took 3 months, but I was always curious, so…why not?
Certainly was anti-climatic…after all that, was kinda hoping for the field to start popping like popcorn when it was tapped, or at least the fireworks to go off, but nothing happened. Nothing at all. Oh well…another missed opportunity for EA to surprise and enchant us.
