Hey 👋🏻 I have a question.. how come when I add friends sometimes I will look for them and it says origin friend not in the game, even though they have come directly from this site?
Maybe the game is in limbo while the Disney takeover goes through and the team are working on loads of new content behind the scenes. Lol prob shouldn’t get hopes up.
I don’t mind the downtime too much gives me a chance to really catch up my world and also completely remodel it and if tsto is ending I guess at least we all get our lives back. Will be sad though, Guess the team working on the game must have been slashed in half, Feel like we should at least get donuts for specific real world events like Easter, 4th July ect..
The worst part about the server issue is buying rat trap trucks. When it kicks me off, I lose all those donuts. I’m losing about 300 donuts every time it kicks me off. Plus all the cash it cost to buy the trucks.
I’m calling it. No update tonight. I think we’re screwed for another week (or more?).

Yes..I know they didn’t update anything. But why are they highlighting it? Never pushed Heights before like a vault or box in the store that I can remember.
I’m riding this horse until they prove me wrong. I want more land on the other side of the mountain lol.
Not highlighted in my game
When I click on the hammer and saw icon. I enter the store. “Springfield heights box” is there with a view option.. Just like a vault box or event box. When I tap the Orange Exclamation star above the Heights box..It says “Get it while we tell you it’s hot”

I’m going with you in an update that could involve SH, not really anything to do with ” get it while it’s hot ” but more to do with the tennis courts we could amass.
This had us grinding for heights items again & I actually quite enjoyed it, knowing it was just for 2 weeks.

Why such a long delay ?
Hopefully just EA going through a transition phase. It’s the lack of communication that pees me off, but all the big corporations have the silent approach.
Anybody noticed they’re Advertising/Highlighting Springfield Heights in the store. “Get it while we tell you It’s hot” according to info button.
Is the xp collider available anymore? I recently started to KEM farm after on and off playing for at least 5/6 years and I see everyone talk

I still feel that the game is not ending. If it were, I think they would give an easy way to get land tokens (possibly through donuts) or at a minimum have The Golden Goose Reality available.
Uhm….it’s been available twice. But yes…bringing it back like the Yearbook would be a final “here ya go…” to those who missed it.
Today I bought the first of the ridiculously expensive buildings, The Sunsphere and was pleasantly surprised to find a free character comes along with this purchase!

Ah right, wiki says you get him now when you either have 2 million $ or when you buy your first aspirational building (like the Sunsphere).
If I remember correctly I got him for free back at the start of the event where his “Road to Riches” prices were introduced…
Tuesday morning, 10:00 am (PDT). No new updates in App Store. Very frustrating. I fear we’re in for another week without an event. 😩
Well….if there is any consolation…lately, the updated don’t hit the App Store until late in the afternoon, or early evening, the day BEFORE the event hits. As in…Tuesday, for a Wednesday release. So you are getting jumpy early.
Ok. 2:00 pm (PDT). Still nothing. Nada. Sigh.
Still not “tonight.”
The last three updates hit the files between 4:30 – 7P PDT.

For anyone interested, I did a little model to work out when you should take another pick on the donuts.
For KEM farmers:
If your multiplier is less than approx 890 and you get less than three donuts keep picking until you get 3.
If your multiplier is between 890 and 2670 and you get one donut you should pick again once to see if you get three, if you get two donuts take it and invest your 50K into more KEMs.
If you have more than 2670 multiplier don’t bother picking, just take what you get and invest your money in more KEMs
For Rat Trap/Bloodmobile farmers:
If your multiplier is less than approx 1240 and you get less than three donuts keep picking until you get 3.
If your multiplier is between 1240 and 3710 and you get one donut you should pick again once to see if you get three, if you get two donuts take them and invest your 50K into more KEMs.
If you have more than 3710 multiplier don’t bother picking, just take what you get and invest your money in more KEMs

For Rattrap/Bloodmobiles farmers, that should be invest your money in more Rattrap/Bloodmobiles, not KEMs.
You don’t explain the “why?” Behind your statements…
To summarise, i looked at the amount of donuts you could harvest through farming your 50K, which increases with your multiplier, versus the probability of getting extra donuts by just spending the 50k on a 2nd/3rd choice, which is a fixed cost, not affected by multiplier.
The cutoffs above where roughly the points where spending the 50k on farming yields more potential donuts than spending 50k on a 2nd/3rd choice.
Happy to share the model, it is a pretty simple excel based one.
Makes sense… I am at the “casual farming” level, where my KEMs pretty much stay equal to payouts…no matter how many times I guess…with the amount earned from sending everyone on a 4-hour task. So, I am currently at 912%…I farm 66 KEMs…and always end up with a little extra cash, every cycle…always taking 3 donuts. But, I can see where higher % bonus could make a difference. For me…It’s all about cash parity.
Yes, the reason you benefit from only re-picking if you get a single donut is as follows.
If you get one donut your additional 50k will get you an additional 1 or 2 donuts, averages out at 50k for 1.5 donuts.
If you take the pick and get 2 donuts then your next pick will get you 1 additional donut making 3, so averages out at 50k for 1 donut.
If you get 2 on your first pick then your next pick gets you an additional 0 or 1 donuts, averages out at 50k for 0.5 donuts.
So if you model what your 50k can buy you on average through farming, the hurdles are 0.5, 1 or 1.5 donuts per 50k, tells you which strategy is best for you.
Tennis courts bump you up? I still can’t grasp why they did that..
Yes, it’s EA making it so easy that concerns me most. Our only hope, as a few have mentioned is the way the game is played is going to change i.e. more difficult to accumulate donuts, percentage etc.

Hahaha where’d you get that idea? I see the absolute opposite of that: accumulating lots of donuts is easier than ever while at the same time you need much less of them to get most stuff (30 donuts per yearbook box). And what were the tennis courts? Hundreds of % points basically FOR FREE…
The game’s economy is totally broken now. We’d either need a complety new, non-farmable currency or a complete overhaul of all old currencies: $ is basically worthless at some point, % are overpowered, thus making donuts too easy to acquire…
Could be that someone at EA is not happy about Disney taking over and is making sure that anyone who used to spend real $ on donuts no longer has to. Make the game non-profitable before you hand it over.
🤦♀️ EA isn’t handing the game over to Disney. Disney bought FOX not EA. EA’s contract for the rights to the Simpsons is still valid, it hasn’t been voided out. Similar to how Simpson World is still on FXX and Springfield is still in Universal Studios. Those contracts have not expired, they’re still valid. Once they expire and are up for renewal, that’s a different story. But for now it has NOTHING to do with it..
Seriously guys, get a grip…
While your view is supremely pessimistic…it is also founded in pragmatism. So, I can’t/won’t fault it. Something is clearly off kilter in regards to sustainability of income for EA.
Are you talking about my view or about Iain’s view? I’d call his view rather “destructive”: “before Disney gets Tapped Out we rather stab 13 daggers into its heart” is the Darth Sidious kind of evil, which is SLIGHTLY worse than the EA kind of evil 😀
I don’t see why they stopped releasing those real-cash characters, I figure that worked out at least half-way fine for them. I absolutely did not need the donuts (thanks to farming), but I absolutely WANTED those characters 😉
I’m talking about YOUR view. But, we are currently at the mercy of the big “I don’t know” and won’t know more, until we do. What I was agreeing with, is your assessment that making it so easy to farm, with obvious new ways to make more efficient, seems counterproductive to long-term profit.
Yeah I never really understood where they were going with all those %-Super-Deals. Well, maybe back in the old days stuff like craftable Wailing Walls and such was okay, when farming wasn’t such a BIG thing yet. But till this day (even EA must know about farming by now) they bring such offers again and again and again: flag bundles, snowcats, the permanent mystery box, now the dirt-cheap tennis courts. Makes little sense to me… sounds like “no no, it’s okay folks, keep your money, we don’t want it. We just want you to have some free fun”, which a) has never really been the classic EA philosophy, and b) is, like you said, absolutely counterproductive in terms of maintaining profits. And even when they had some kind of workaround (like the real-cash characters or Donut Factory) they didn’t even stick to it. 20$ for GGR (permanently available), maybe 10 bucks vor Vikki Valentine, a fiver for the Sky Finger Monument (again, permanently available). A whole lot of wasted Ka-Ching potential…
So when I said EA is making the game too easy, how is that the opposite of what you are saying ?
I responded to your theory of “the game might change in terms of how difficult it is to get donuts, it might become harder again”. Everything is showing in the exact opposite direction for ages, or how else would you explain the mere existence of this tennis court offer?
My response to your first sentence would rather have been something like: hell yeah, getting hundreds and thousands of donuts is WAY too easy these days 😉

My thought is that they are making it easier to get everything…so they can put it into hospice mode without feeling bad. It’s like taking Grandma on the trip to Europe she has always dreamed of, before you put her into the rest home, and sell all of her stuff.
Disturbing picture, but you’re probably right. As much as I’d like to say I will keep visiting grandma at the hospice regularly, I probably won’t. Can’t stand watching people suffer and die…

Probably, but there’s no saying whether any future event(s) will follow the established protocol.
Would we hear something directly from EA today? I seriously doubt it…
Would we hear something from the nice, server-observing fans today? I seriously hope so…
Still got server issues, if and when I manage to get on it crashes after about 5 mins on average. Frustrating, I should say so, if EA can’t be bothered with an in game update, they could at least sort out connection issues.🤬🤬🤬🤬🇬🇧

As I was born and raised in WNY (Western New York) and all 6 of my children and grandchildren were born and raised here……….I found this episode very, very, very offensive. Yes…housing is going downhill (rentals and homeowners) but our economy is starting to boom. More jobs are coming back this way. Especially the medical field. All they did was to highlight the negative things that happen in WNY not upsate NY. We have ALOT of good things that happen. YES our Bills may suck BUT that is our right as fans to make fun of them. At least we still back them and fill the stadium NO matter WHAT TYPE OF WEATHER!!!!!!!! We will always be the Bills Mafia up here. We broke our playoff drought!!. We went to the superbowl a feeewww times. But we stood LOYAL to our players and our team. Why don’t you highlight some of the good stuff that is from here not just the bad stuff.
Perhaps, you’ve never seen the show. It’s a comedy. That’s what they do.
I have seen the show many times. Many many times. And i still find it offensive.
I think the rub here, is that The Simpsons really doesn’t do homages to anyplace…they always make fun of the worst characteristics. Upstate NY is actually a pretty easy target, but I understand why someone who lives there would be offended. I have spent loads of time in that area, and there is indeed a HUGE difference between the beauty of the Fingerlakes region, and parts of Buffalo and even Rochester. But, that is the same for almost every state. The big cities, particularly those hit by massive job losses, are pretty dismal.
Your last sentence sounds like you think that the addicts here have influence on the production of the TV show? They don’t, they are just bloggers and fans and (as far as I know) in no way involved in the production of either the show or the game.

It was a good episode, would love a tie in event. My grandfather was Canadian, from Montreal, and so I have a soft spot for Canada.

I am still getting booty. I would say overall 1 in 5 dives results in a boardwalk with an occasional lucky two wins in a row.
Anecdotal reports are Tiles are rewarded 20% to 33% of the time.
Although, these are independent trials, meaning…
You aren’t assured of a tile every 5 times.
You could go 12 times without a tile and then get 4 in a row.

My game has been stable since the beginning of the weekend. I guess EA has finished the preparations for their mind blowing new event. Wednesday? Wednesday!
Lately my game seems to crash most times I get a level up donut choice.
