Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

ICYMI we played a new round of Simpsons Trivia yesterday, all about the episode “Mayored to the Mob” in honor of Star Wars Day (yesterday). Check it out here if you haven’t played yet.
Nothing new in TSTO…still. How are you passing the time? We’re going to be launching some new features next week (look for a new and returning feature tomorrow), any ideas you have for content you’d like us to cover during this lull?

Does anyone know if the sky finger monument bugs were ever fixed?
I stored it but wonder if it’s worth digging out again.

So it looks like another week has gone by with nothing from EA. I appreciate you guys who run this site, keeping us entertained with your bracket challenge, redesign ideas etc but my patience is wearing very thin with EA I’m afraid.
It’s as if the programmers have vanished into thin air ?
So much for the huge Mystery Box, having a limited time in our games, still here & perhaps the last meaningful gift from EA ?
“Nothing new in TSTO” is the biggie here – ‘Marge at the bat’ was a cynical rehash – are we seeing a major bail from EA on this game?? Feels a bit like the chicken running round the farmyard that doesn’t know its’ head has been cut-off. After several years it feels like it may be over.
Just sayin.
My youngins are wondering how to get Sideshow Bob in their towns. I got mine really early on so they’re wondering why they haven’t gotten theirs yet. Two are on level 35.
It takes a few months. Mine showed up around level 500. Play all the quests.
I am having some fun with all this downtime(hopefully it’s just pause for now and not the end) because I’m farming doughnuts and getting as much stuff as I can from yearbook as well as slowly doing some redesigns. As a player of TSTO since almost the beginning I def missed a lot.
Life is going good outside of the game. Hope everyone has a good week.
Q: If EA continues supporting TSTO, would longer events be better than short or mini events?
Perhaps EA is coming up with a big summer-long event followed by a long fall event?
I think i’m going to have to take the drastic choice and uninstall TSTO. If there are no updates then i’d rather not have it taking up memory and battery space. I’ll just reinstall if anything happens. Shame really 🙁
If I try to follow Murphy’s Law, then starting Homer on a 32 hour task now should result in an update occuring well before he finishes.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for an update on Wednesday. At this point, I don’t care if it’s a 6 week, 4 week, or mini event. I just need something to chew on until EA figures out what they are going to do and where they are going to go with the game. The not knowing is worse than the down time. Just saying.

Well EA wasn’t the only folks having server issues yesterday. Couldn’t get into Elder Scrolls Online until almost 1 pm PST due to issues logging in to the mega server.
I’d enjoy this downtime much more if I could see my town to redecorate it. Damn zoom glitch.
I’m still having server issues this morning (off and on).
The sad thing is that I couldn’t log on yesterday. By this morning, my XP Multiplier expired. Unfortunately, when I logged on today (with considerable lag), I inadvertently tapped the Sky Finger and lost roughly five sets of bonus donuts.
I’m still logging on to finish all of my tasks after having completed the Yearbook Mystery Box. Of course, most of my remaining tasks involve Homer — and quite a few of those extended 24 hour tasks — making this a slow process.
Maybe Game of Throne content update?
