Update: There is an update on the server! Looks like it’s in-game (you should see it download in your game), called Moms of Springfield. I’m pulling files/images now…but…
Amazon Users…it looks like they attempted to make a fix. Let me know if you see any difference in your game.

After all, it’s May 14th so what’s going on?!
Here’s what we know…
Nothing.
As of right now, there’s no new update on the server, no pre-event packet given to us from EA, nothing.
Of course, that doesn’t mean we won’t get an update. It just means there’s nothing new at the moment. My guess is, if it’s going to be an app store update, it’ll hit the app stores tonight (which means it’ll hit the servers this evening) and launch in our Pocket-Sized towns in the morning.
If it’s an in-game update, we’ll likely see it hit the servers in the next few hours and see where it goes from there.
All I can tell you is once we have more information I will update you all. But for now, use this post to comment/speculate/complain, etc about the update (or lack there of). Has anyone made a list of all the transporters?
I nuked my B town (best decision I ever made! It was so cluttered!)
I made 16×16 areas (don’t know how many but it really really helped to design my town into sections : Asian area, shop area, schools etc…)
But it’s so vast that I’d like to use them for easier access 😊

The 4 Transporters are Alpha, Omega, Zeta, Theta.

There is also Moe’s Brewing Co. which acts as a transporter to Moe’s Tavern.

Martin’s Mom!! I have been asking for her! Hopefully we will get his Dad at some point. At least we are getting some kind of an update with some new items. I’m happy.
Woohoo! Just got all the content from the year book now. Not many donuts left now, must farm a bit more intensively. Without farming just by building collection and 12 h shift for the people of Springfield I manage to earn 26 donuts per day, it’s really good, with the xp multiplier on. 3 Rtt give me 12 donuts.
I had 2 big updates today (one 1.6G this morning. And now 2 others, a small one and then about 900M). My game is definatelly acting weird, i was rewarderd some kind of truck, could’t see it very well. The game said it would be in storage, but nothing there. I have more than 9G free, i think that should be enough. The Bart screen is hitting me at least twice when i play.
The truck is from the Mono Rail Yard. You don’t get the truck. You get the Tracks ….That is the prize before you get the 5 donuts.
I thought the same thing a long time ago when it would just appear. and figured it out.
If you had a HUGE update install as you pointed out at 1.6G.. that tells me you don’t have enough room on your device and it has to reinstall the game again.. then you got the latest update.. So check your device to see how much usable space you have available. if under a gig.. you may need to free up space. Music, Photos, take up a lot of space check those first.
It dropped as an in game update.
I’m ready for something along the lines of Stonecutters BUT I’ll simply be thankful the drought is over.

Is it just me or did the tasks I had on the go disappear with this in game update?
Mayb they r waiting till lunch… always thought 10 was a stupid time. It’s hard to sneak away at work just to get started on time. Or morning b good as well. N please put golden goose realty back.
So I just logged into my Springfield and the game automatically downloaded an update. I’m running Android. It was not a huge update. Nothing obvious has launched in the game but maybe this is a prelude for tomorrow?

The gane updated! There is now a character collection called “The Real Moms”!
I have more expectations that we will get an awesome update at TSTO ADDICTS (because we always do) then from EA 😂
Please, if EA is going to drop something? They will announce it …. and right now? Its the same sound of crickets chirping (I’m fine Farming + getting stuff from the Mystery Box + obtaining Land Tokens aka not sweating it because I’d rather think about a summer vacation) 😜
Just add golden goose reality and I’ll be content for awhile. Been farming like crazy. Some items I discovered were really good gets that I never considered. Duff gardens can create beer towers, gnomes and beer mugs. Yellow submersible creates pier tiles beyond the maz amount. And the teleporter should be your first yearbook buy if you don’t have it.

I hope whatever happens the game’s problems will be fixed. I’ve had problems for weeks now but this morning it’s ten times worse. Can’t get into the game without the Bart screen not allowing me for many times trying. Once in can’t play for more then a minute or two before getting kicked off and the cycle continues until I give up. Ive lost tons of game cash and chance of donuts being kicked out while trying to farm. Just trying to clear the town after tasks or cashing in on buildings, I get kicked off. A couple more days like this and I’m seriously contemplating on leaving the game altogether. It isn’t fun anymore. After yrs of playing I will be sad to stop, but it’s too frustrating rather then being fun.
My game has also been kicking me out less and less frequently. I used to get kicked out right after logging in…not anymore. Used to get kicked out if I bought and placed more than 5 or 6 rat trap trucks…now this only happens once, then I get back in and have no problems even if buying and placing 10 trucks….I’ve definitely noticed a difference yesterday and the day before. I’m gonna keep working on my yearbook until something comes. Have a nice day everyone.
Maybe he got the date wrong. (Shrug) Happens to the best of us. He could have meant tomorrow, as most updates happen on Wednesday.
I’m disappointed the promised update didn’t hit yet but hopeful it will sometime today…c’mon EA, stop leaving us hanging!! 😳

Not gonna lie I’m kind of relieved, I nuked my town ,the day Matt tweeted about the update, and am slowly adding stuff in trying make a nice design.
Unfortunately, I’m still not happy with what I’ve got so far.
For the past week or so I am getting “that screen again” almost every time i log in. Logical to blame that as a reason for the delay. Maybe they are having issue with migration?
But hey, EA… just let us know there’s a problem and we’ll forgive you! It’s just the silence that is hurtful… we’ve been devoted for so long! Call, text, Skype, Tweet, ‘Gram… we don’t care! Just let us know… love ya, mean it!

I will note that Matt Selman did not specify a year in his tweet…Perhaps Mayor Quimby is gearing up for a run/update in 2020!
The last day, my game appears more stable. Two days ago it crashed multiple times before I could even open it.
Entry now is s-m-o-o-t-h.
In the mean time, my characters, like I, are allowed to wander around aimlessly.

I think the dude was just trolling everyone. It’s nothing new for the internet, so why should it be different for us Tapped Out fanatics? It’s no secret how much everyone of us wants an update. Perfect time for trolls to come out and offer their “fake news.”
Matt Selman is an Executive Producer on The Simpsons and has written content updates for TSTO. I can say with complete confidence he’s not a troll, nor is he trying to troll players. He wouldn’t risk it.
I think he was concerned with so many players tweeting him that he reached out to his contacts at EA for information about an update and that’s what they responded back to him.
Oh! I don’t think he was trolling us just wasn’t sure where he was getting his info. Since I didn’t know he also provides content for the game.
