Something I haven’t said in 35 days…it’s update day in our Pocket-Sized Springfields!
If you’re having trouble getting the event to start, first make sure you’re at least at Level 15 (as that’s the requirement), then try hard closing and restarting TSTO. This should be an in-game update, so an automatic download. Nothing else for you to do. If you’re still not seeing it try uninstalling and reinstalling TSTO.
Yes, if you saw the news yesterday, the Real Moms of Springfield mini-event has arrived in our towns! Not only do we get a new mini-event, but it appears that this update has also fixed the Amazon zoom issue as well!
Things kick off in Springfield with some dialogue between Ruth and Marge, followed by 6s tasks for each. This will be followed by more dialogue and the event launch. For the first part, you’ll need to complete a 4hr task for Marge and collect 150 “Crappy Mother’s Day Gifts”.
This mini-event ends on May 29th (10am ET, 1400 UTC)
Working on updating this post guys but just found a bug the the questline, so stopping for a minute to cover that in another post …so keep checking back, as it’ll say update and complete when finished..

A quick workaround for the stall is: find the characters that earn the currency and select them via their individual task list…
Again, characters that can be sent: Marge, Lisa, Bart, Homer, Helen Lovejoy, Ruth Powers, Apu, Manjula, Sarah Wiggum and Jerri.

Jerri Mackleberry and the Needle Exchange- 150 Donuts. Earns , at a higher rate than any other character.

Sarah Wiggum and the Springfield Aquarium- 300 Donuts. Also earns , but she’s in the Yearbook Mystery Box so I don’t think you’ll want to spend 300 donuts on her…
Lurleen and Beer-N-Brawl- 140 Donuts
Rose Quimby and the Capital City Capitol Building- 150 Donuts
Mrs. Bouvier and the Piggly’s Super Smorg- 140 Donuts
Maw Spuckler- 80 Donuts.
A note on Maw: Maw Spuckler was originally a character available for a cash purchase, she came with a Truckload of Donuts. Now EA is offering up JUST Maw (no donuts) for 80 donuts. This is a trend they’ve been doing lately, but it’s not anything malicious. Basically, Maw was a bonus item for buying a Truckload of donuts, (just like Sven was a bonus item for buying a tray of donuts and so on) you paid for the donuts and got a bonus. Nothing to call and demand a refund over, as you received the donuts you purchased. The character was just a bonus item with that purchase. Frustrating, but not malicious or “illegal” on EA’s part. Since you paid for donuts, and you received the donuts…

Likely a bug held it up
If you already don’t have Lurleen or Ms. Bovier, it would be a better option as well to get them through the Yearbook Mystery Box. You would only overpay by 10 donuts if you get them as the last item.
If one can actually a ) log into play ? [still getting the Bart Simpson screen of death randomly] 🤷🏼♂️
then b ) they can decide at what pace they want to grind away for c ) Decor, Building, Land Token (or 2 Characters if you’re a noob), Character Skin, Character for d ) what says Part 1 (will this Event feature a Part 2 and more?) 🤔
Just a friendly tip. Do not buy Capital City/Rose Quimby for 150 donuts. If you don’t have her, buy her via the Yearbook. At best it will cost 30 donuts if you get her on one try. At worst it still costs you 150 donuts, but you get four additional items for the same cost you would have paid outright.
Probably obvious to everyone, but just thought I’d share anyway.
great advice. thanks! didnt know she was in there. kept refreshing her and, shocker, got her on last try! lol. but like you said, I got her for 150 instead of 300, AND i got señor ding dong, Havana private home, Springfield falls and welcome to Springfield sign. then searched for capital city and got it on 4th try. also got , señor ding dongs van(great timing! ), and two-nicorn. spent 270 total and got wiggum (300) and quimby (150) plus another character/ building combo and 4 other decorations/ buildings. Great deals!!! Also, I’ve been farming since yearbook came out, and I’m getting 30 donuts every 4 hrs, so even more worth it! thanks again, and thanks alissa for all the details!
As the update has only been live for a few hours are people rushing the tasks I have barely started and some are on task 3?, Also my game still has server issues and getting the Bart screen.
Alissa does it to provide us with a complete and updated post. I presume some farmers do it because they have a stupid number of donuts and nothing better to spend it on.
Exactly… why rush the tasks? What’s the point? There is a ton of time for this event – easy to finish in way less time than they give you
The Kindle bug is fixed!!! THis is this first time I’ve been able to really play on the Kindle – I actually found Maggie this morning which I could never do before! It worked fine on my phone but it’s just so nice to have it on the bigger screen. So happy for the fix!!! And of course a new event is nice too 😀
Yay! I’m really happy I’m finally gonna get Mona, I really wanted her! And if that wasn’t enough, Nana Sophie too! Plus the yearbook mystery box is still here, so so far so good 😊
I cant get past part 3 where you have to get 200 gifts(storage limit is 150),it says that my gifts are full and that i have to spend them,but i dont know how to do it,are they currency like springfield heights?
It’s a bug in the game, i just wrote a post about it. It has to be fixed by EA via a patch

I don’t understand…why in the world are people rushing through this event? Given that it’s a two-week duration AND you never know if there will be another “lull” afterwards, I would think the players would be taking their sweet time on this one.
