After a very long hiatus, we finally have some new content in Springfield! A new mini-event went live in our games yesterday morning…The Real Moms of Springfield. Of course, an all-new mini-event means all new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Jerri Mackleberry and the Needle Exchange to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this needlepoint combo to your town…

Pros
-Helps with the event, earns a special premium rate
-A couple of amusing animated tasks, 4 and 12hrs

-Has a lot of 4hr tasks, both visual and nonvisual.
Cons
-Not voiced
-Animation on the Needle Exchange is generic, lights on shadows in the window.
-Jerri’s questline is only 3 parts.
Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
As the only new premium combo with this event, and really in forever, it’s a good buy. She’ll help with the mini-event and every kid needs their mom, right?
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I already picked it up. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

I picked up both premiums PDQ. I like completing families. I like it even more if we get their homes.
The Spucklers are huge in my Springfield so getting Ma was a must.
Was I dreaming, or was there also a SIB/SISDO post up this morning about the stand-alone (80 donut) Maw Spuckler character? I could have *sworn* I saw one, in addition to the one for this Jerri Mackleberry and Needle Exchange combo.

I only have 5 characters available for tasks in my 2nd world, do you think I’ll be able to complete all the tasks on time? Is Patric planning on doing one of his legendary planning schedules for this event?
On the second question, i doubt it. On the first, you have 2 weeks to complete it all. As long as you log in every 4hrs you should be good.
It’s uninspiring but heck yes, something new! I bought it without a second thought. After getting bored with donut farming, it’s wonderful to be able to spend them!!
At this point I am making 120+ donuts per day KEM farming, so any character purchases are moot points for me. Lol…

Thanks for the info! I almost grabbed her, but realized I didn’t have Sarah Wiggum yet. Hit the Mystery Box and got her on the 2nd try. 60 donuts. So I think I’ll pass on Jerri. 🙂
I’m still getting the BART screen every few mins., and unable to RT farm without losing money and donuts, even by doing as little as ten RT’s at a time.
I don’t know how to fix this or if it is a server issue. Anyone else still having these problems?
Would like suggestions. I have plenty of space, if that could be an issue. Have shut down…a few times but still having problems.

I get the Bart screen too.. not too often…. it is an inconvenience.
Hi, for me reducing the number of RT did seem to work. But not in your case. Only other thing I did was completely stop the app, rather then trying to reconnect to the server via the Bart WoD.
When I get the Bart screen I will close out the game (iPhone) double tap on my home button and remove the recent apps.
This then resets the game to open with the EA logo and then go into the TSTO app. All goes well and I don’t get the Bart screen for quite a while.
Also it comes back into the game where I left off and I don’t lose any donuts when it happens while I am farming.
Not sure how to remove the background apps on an Android phone.. but I am sure this would work much the same.
Give it a try.. it can’t hurt. and it if helps keep you on like longer.. then it’s a win.
Yup, me too. The frequency varies – sometimes not often, sometimes multiple times in a row. If I get disconnected while farming, when I reconnect I immediately get a donut box, sometimes 2, but never more than that. So any XP earned over that amount is lost. Now I just build a few BMs at a time to avoid queuing up too much XP at once. I switch between RTs and BMs to see if there’s a difference with this issue, but I haven’t noticed any.
i picked it up since i farmed a lot while game was idling lol. figured wasn’t bad for combo. bugs glitches are bad. but doesn’t stop me from playing. just take the good with the bad.

I was so happy for new content plus I always buy anything craft related, one because I like that kinda stuff, and two because the tasks associated with those characters are generally awesome 🙂

Is that little isthmus in SH real? It seems like a perfect place to stash random stuff that is useful for % but ugly or dumb.

If land is available you’ll see it when you hit the move button (4 way arrows), if nothing appears available to purchase you have all the land currently available.
I know it’s just the animation, but I find it hilarious that she guesses “Sherri” every time. It’s fun to play the game along with her too! 🙂
While I can’t see myself spending the sprinkles on this Character Building Combo (when I’m sure this will end up in the Mystery Box later), I guess it’s there for noobs who don’t have enough Characters to compete each part of the Mini-Event, but I would spend real money if I was in Myrtle Beach on this brand new Simpsons 4-D Ride within a replica of the Aztec Theatre (that exits into a Kwik-E-Mart (yes!) ❤️

Not that i’m aware of, and no on parts 1 and 2.
The workout for part 3 is there, so you won’t get stuck it’s just not as easy.
I pulled the trigger on this one as the price isn’t too bad. The mystery box is running low for me and it is getting difficult to find things I want in there.
The needle exchange isn’t a bad building and I need some variety in my town, something besides bars and gyms.
I bought Sarah Wiggum through the mystery box, so I’m set for this event. Looking forward to getting Kitchen Carnival, it’s one of my favorite Simpsons gags.
I wonder if it will end up in my Shelbyville; it’s not the most exciting building but it might fit in there well!
