The Real Moms of Springfield Prize Breakdown: Mona Simpson and Nana Sophie

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s time to celebrate all things MOM in our pocket-sized towns, as The Real Moms of Springfield mini-event has made its way to Springfield! What will happen in the new update?  Will Ruth be sent back to prison?  Will Quimby find any long lost children? Will any of this make sense? You’ll have to read the dialogue to find out. Of course, a new event means new prizes to earn and new prizes mean it’s time for everyone’s favorite prize breakdown posts!

Remember, this event is designed to follow a series of tasks via the questline to unlock prizes.  For each of the parts of the The Real Moms of Springfield questline, you’ll have to earn  via various character tasks in order to unlock the prize for that part.

So let’s take a look at the third prize, Nana Sophie and Mona Simpson (or a Land Token if you already have them)…

How You Get it:

  1. I did not have Mona before and her task-unlocking quests are not triggering. I have Grampa, Springfield Cemetery, The Coconut Babaloo, the 1958 car, the flower cart, King Homer’s Skyscraper and Maude. Am I missing any components or were the quests deleted out? I’m wondering if anyone else has this issue because none of her joint Grampa tasks will unlock. I have already tried storing/un storing Grampa, etc.

  2. What happens if you have one but not both ladies?

  3. I was on the Jake Boyman level when I reached the goal it jumped right to Mrs Prince and have me both prizes.

Interesting. I had Nana and Mona.
I already had ONE land token and a single unpurchased land tile.
And I received a Land Token. So now, I have more land tokens than I can ever spend.
Kinda, sorta sways me into speculation of what the future may bring.

I’m glad Nana is in our game, but she really should be called Nonna since she is Italian. The show made the original mistake so I guess we are stuck with Nana.

My Nonna used words like idiota as well….not directed at me of course.

    • My mom, who is Italian but not from Italy, is Nonna to my kids… but my grandmother, who was from Italy, was always grandma 🤷‍♀️lol

      • Did you see yesterday’s 60 minutes? It seems if you are descended from someone who was a citizen of Italy you can become or are an Italian citizen.

        • Interesting.

This is true. In my case I am not eligible as my great grandparents naturalized before 1912. On my mother’s side, they were Canadian Citizens for a brief time and some then became US citizens after the war. I still have family in Montreal as a result. ( Great city to visit by the way!)

Not sure I’d want Italian citizenship anyways.

My grandmother was born here, but spoke Italian. We used both. I also knew my great-grandparents, they were born in Italy and could only speak Italian and so I learned some basic things to say.

In fairness to Nana in the game, one of her tasks is to teach Italian to Milhouse, so I guess he is forgiven!

  6. This is something that happen to my game with this prize: I already have both characters, so I received a land token, I currently had 1-9 tokens available, after getting this “prize” land token, my Land token count went up to 58 🙂 happy me, used all the tokens right away before the game corrected the mistake.. and the land still unlocked. so yeah.. just a simple glitch in the Matrix.

  7. Can’t believe the first mini event was back in 2015! That’s crazy! 😵
As I said on the addicts live post, I’m glad to have Nana Sophie back after the roll back glitch took her from me first time round … good and funny quest line.
I’m just glad we have new content, whatever format it takes 😊

  8. Nana Sophie and Mona Simpson

Both are fun Characters (great visual tasks)

Both are not voiced (that’s ok, they are great additions to their respective families)

Do I care I got a Land Token instead? No, remember I have zero expectations from EA! It took me less than a week to complete everything in this Mini Event (one new Mother, one new Building, zero grinding) 👍

  9. Anything is better than nothing, and nothing isn’t really that bad. Yearbook is a great deal….have a great day everyone!

  10. I wish there was a way to get more land tokens.

  11. What do you get if you already have all the land???

    • A land token…

It’ll be available to use if/when more land opens up

      • Or you can convert it to 12 donuts. Considering the yearbook has a price of 30 donuts for an item, 6 land tiles would seem to be the appropriate replacement. Not that I complaining or even care.

  12. I originally got Nana the first time round but I was lucky enough to get the rollback glitch and lost her when EA rolled me back so I’m really pleased she is back again. I remember her quest line making me laugh first time round as well its very funny!

  13. Already had the old Characters. Already finished collecting the gifts. Hope the next is more chalenging and longer. Bit disapointed after waiting to get a mini event, repeating the same format again. Hopefully the next event will be longer snd a bit different.

  14. I already had Mona so just got Nana, perhaps I should get half a land token to make up the difference! Lol.
