It’s time to celebrate all things MOM in our pocket-sized towns, as The Real Moms of Springfield mini-event has made its way to Springfield! What will happen in the new update? Will Ruth be sent back to prison? Will Quimby find any long lost children? Will any of this make sense? You’ll have to read the dialogue to find out. Of course a new mini-event gives EA an excuse to stock our stores with returning premium content, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the returning Real Moms of Springfield Character Combos to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…
All Returning Items Leave Stores May 29th
I’m going to save everyone some time…DO NOT BUY Sarah Wiggum, Lurleen, Rose Quimby, or Mrs. Bouvier outright like this. They’re all available in the Yearbook Mystery Box for 30 Donuts/try. Until EA removes the Mystery Box from stores there’s no point in outright buying characters that can be purchased via the box. So pass on those ladies and try your hand in the Yearbook Mystery Box.
Now, onto a character NOT available in the Mystery Box, Maw Spuckler…
Item: Maw Spuckler
Cost: 80 Donuts
Originally: Maw was originally an “add-on” item when you purchased donuts during the Itchy and Scratchy Land Event.
What Does It Do: Typical full character for Springfield. She does not come with a building, just a stand-alone character.

My Opinion On It Now: Stand-alone character that’s premium but was never before available for a donut purchase. Not a bad buy. She has some fun tasks and a questline, but is not voiced. All in all I think this is a pickup if you have the donuts.

Does anyone know if the whale is now considered a unique item? I purchased it out of the yearbook mystery box and now have noticed it is not available for purchase in the premium items section. I admit, I didn’t look for it there before buying from the yearbook so I don’t know if it disappeared or was never there to begin with. I’m trying to build up my bonus percentage and the yearbook can now only offer me 128% more so I’m starting to consider more expensive items with a higher payrate like the whale
I picked up Sarah Wiggum out of the yearbook box today, as I didn’t want to get her for 300 donuts.
I don’t think Rose Quimby is available in the Mystery Box, also, I don’t see her available as part of the event either…

Did anyone notice a new icon on your device home page. It’s located right under the normal TSTO icon for the Simpson’s game. I tapped on it and it took me to the app store. It’s supposed to be a new Simpson’s guide for the game. It says the developer is : Nostreous. I don’t know if it’s real or a joke. It had no price, no game description nada. I did not press the “open” button cause don’t want to get a virus if joke. Lol. does anyone know what it is?.?? 😎
Wise move. But doing a bit of googling, it looks like a free download that is also available on Amazon. Not sure what the connection is with EA and the game.
However…when you read the description, it is clearly translated from some English as a Second Language original. Some of the wording is pretty weird and hilarious.

Do we know this is a virus free download? I love Amazon, but being they offer for sale fake Louis Vuitton bags from China on their website, I’m a bit cautious.

I know!! It’s hilarious. Sooooooo much “Truthiness” in this. I would NEVER download this thing…ever. Sorry. It reminds me of the description of the drone I ordered last year, that ended up being NOTHING like the description. As soon as I saw the seller was from China…I should have pulled the order. Oh Well. At least this is FREE…until it loads a ton of Malware onto your device.

I noticed from events over the last year or so that when an item(s) is re-released in an event there isn’t a rebate or offer available to some of them (apart from if the item appears in a mystery box or Yearbook Mystery Box) and items that are always available like Lurleen are added to the store section of the event with a timer counting down the time left of the event.
I remember from events in the past where Lurleen and Mrs. Bouvier would’ve cost 100 donuts instead of their original price from rebates but it seems EA have stopped doing them now other than The Vault.

Sometimes the Vault has been very good to me (ie Arnie Pye with a 20 🍩’s discount), but I have never checked to see if a Character or Decor or Building available in the Vault is also available in the Mystery Box (sometimes I go for the discount in the Vault vs gambling for an item in the Mystery Box).
I must admit that I’ve gotten plenty of Characters / Character Building Combos either way 😀👍
I got Luann and the Cracker Factory this morning from the mystery box, woohoo! I’ve been wanting this for years.
I picked up most through the yearbook. The only one I passed on was the capitol building…only because I’m not sure where I will put it

I got Apu’s Wife – Manjula with their Apartment Building – from the Mystery Box (I have almost every Character Building Combo above, except Daisy Quimby with Capitol Building and Maw Spuckler)😊👍
I will give credit to EA because you get options (buy it, or Mystery Box), and it will be fun if a Father’s Day update appears next month). 😀
I got her and Apu’s house, but after that a lot of junk. Like that stupid frog that keeps throwing up and insulting me. Lol 😎
