ICYMI, as The Real Moms of Springfield mini-event ended, EA released a little teaser about what’s to come in TSTO via Facebook…thoughts on upcoming content? What do you think we’ll see in the game (as far as characters, buildings, etc).

I noticed while switching accounts that the sign in is different and all my friends are gone. Does anyone still have friends?
I had mine disappear for a few hours yesterday but they’re back today.
Adding that I had to sign in and install freshly yesterday because new phone for work… So to recap: I had that problem on a fresh install yesterday; today my friends are back and getting tagged.
Now they’re gone again; I assume they’ll be back.

I just hit a glitch on the yearbook.
The only hint I’ll give is that my connection to the www is really iffy, seeing that our biggest service provider is now not para but almost allstatal owned. (It’s off, it’s on…)
While this is very annoying it had a recent benefit where I got Apu’s Wife’s apartment and the wildlife sanctuary for 30 sprinklys.
All in all. This is going to be my go too strategy from now on. I’ll be back with updates. Mwah

Ow wow, I actually would have thought it would be 5x+8x but this is much better. A bit of kem farming and new stuff from the yearbook will go a long way. Already at 825 since i posted the question. Thanks guys.
Can someone explain the math behind the XP Collider and the Bonus XP? The Collider gives you a 5x times, and the bonus xp is at 810% so that’s a 8,1x bonus. So do I get 5+8,1=13,1, or do I get 5×8,1=40,5 ?
For example the KEM gives 2000 XP when built. If you have 800% bonus you would get 2000 * (100% + 800%) = 18000 XP. If you have the collider on you would get 18,000 * 5 or 90,000 XP.
The bonus % is actually on top of the base amount so 810% is actually 9.1x the base amount then subsequently further multiplied by 5 by the XP collider = x45.5 overall.

Hey a weird question…has the old ruins stopped giving flaming torches for everyone, or is it just a run of bad luck on my part? I can’t remember getting one for weeks now, and while I don’t really need the 0.1% boosts, I do like the 1×1 decorations.
Are you doing the right digging area? I usually get at least one per day (50 digs). Sometimes I get 3 in a row.

Albumman, you know that the gold torches give you 0.20% for each one. Why not just put them in your springfield and add to your bonus percentage.

I was playing my game and went to blow my nose, when I picked my phone up I put my thumb on the home button and noticed a message I wasn’t expecting. I accidentally spent £4.99 on 60 donuts and Shelbyville Manhattan.

My son said if I contact EA and explained they might give me my money back, I decided to keep the character. I used to buy a small amount of donuts every now and then bu haven’t needed to as I get them regularly from the monorail also recently learnt about KEM farming I don’t get as much as some people get but tick over nicely enough to buy something from year book every couple of days. I used the 60 donuts to buy two items from year book and got Apus apartment with Manjula and a character called Manacek with his house.
Go to game settings and turn on Confirm Donut Spend. This should eliminate accidental spending of donuts.

I’d not played for a couple of days because I am honestly losing interest. Which is a shame but the item limit alone has made the game unplayable in downtime as I can’t strip away any more.
But the game messaged to tell me I hadn’t played.
So I logged in.
And it had to download an update.
I was so excited.
Then I remembered.
It does that when you’ve not enough memory.
So there was no update.
So I logged off.
Long downtime is fine. But remove the item limit. Let me place any thing on any surface.
And I would happily potter around my town until the next event eventually arrives.

When is the last time you hit the item limit? What was the level? In a test I just empty the inventory in my Epsilon game and did not get one warning. Since the last update I haven’t received any warnings in any of my games despite me adding a lot of items.
I need to do a new one. But, I hit it about 10 days ago, when I discovered my bridges across water counted as a limit.
At last look it was 13,000 even. I will do another soon…
what is the item limit and how do you know if you have hit it?
Currently 13,000…you get a message that says you can’t place anything else, without storing it.
If you are still getting the limit, maybe they eliminated the early warnings.

Got the nightmare pile from the mystery box and have got a lot of the costumes for the characters, very slow going and a bit disappointing, would be better if I could send all the characters to wear there costumes at the same time, on another note not able to tap much due to staring a new job, hope I can keep up when an event hits😉

I was so excited to get the nightmare pile… had been coveting it for some time…in fact- once I read on this blog here that I could only send one character at a time.. I decided to delay completing the quest as seeing the wacky icon in my quest list amuses me… Just love the scenes of the pile in the show..I think it has been in my task list for maybe a year now lol probably more… i did the same thing with the money mountain because I liked having bobo keep me company from the side bar! maybe as there is not much to do now I will finally finish the pile tasks …I do enjoy to see the pile ‘in action’!

Good find! I’m using the quantum tunnel to enter my Transylvania/Halloween area. It works with Dracu-la-la-land as well.
I use it with the whole spy saga from a year ago. Secret entrance and all…

Wow… Can’t you tell its downtime again. Its after 6 pm in the UK and their is only 26 posts on the Sunday thread. I’ve only posted as I couldn’t believe how few have posted. I’m sure that’ll all change when the new event hits. Fingers crossed it’s this week.

Good news!! The job reappeared when I took the new Itchy and Scratchy entrance out of storage. Now I know.
I’m really hoping that EA is spending this downtime adding features and revamping the whole thing. I really want more extensive ways to bulk send people on jobs. Favorites, templates, various customizable combinations, and also being able to tap on a building and choose people who have jobs there to come to it. My town is way too big and I have too many characters to go through the whole list picking my favorites, and I can’t even remember what they are in most cases. It needs to scale.
Mine disappeared as well. :0( It was my go-to task for Squeaky since we’ve had it. I hope it comes back…
I know there’s a maximum number of in game dollars, but what about donuts? Anyone reached a Donut ceiling?
I recently found that you can only charge the XP multiplier for 30 days before you have to wait to add more time.
As you might’ve guessed I’m searching for the game’s maximums in the slow times.

It is 39 days for the collider. There is a limit in game dollars, I posted it earlier, over 4.2 billion. (2 to the 32nd -1).
I think 9999 is the max for donuts.
With over 13000 donuts in a couple of games, I believe it will be either be like cash 2 ^ 32-1, or 2 ^16-1 or 65,535 (half a 32 bit word) if they are saving space on their database.

I appreciate very much when my neighbors come to visit my town. Even if the game cash isn’t important to you, it’s a nice way of saying hello. But for those who visit me, I’ll visit them more often. I have some very creative neighbors, and love looking at what they’ve done with their towns.

It’s been hot, hot, hot (and more hot 🥵) in Savannah for over a week with 3 days up to 99 F in the shade. And of course, the upstairs a/c unit died in the middle of the week…needs a new coil…so I am camping in the bonus room till Tuesday (when I’ve been assured the new coil will arrive). The system was set for it’s yearly checkup next week, so of course it fritzes out just a week early. 😩
I went out to fill the squirrel and bird feeders this morning ( it’s a peanut palooza!) and it was already 88F. Hoping it gets back to high 80’s and low 90’s soon, we’re all wilting here. 😥☀️😥
Anyway, not much else happening here…just waiting for the next event…hopefully on Wednesday? Been playing Roller Coaster Tycoon in the down time and reached level 40 this week, so now I have a Water Park also that I can also develop…wheee! 🌊🏖🌊
Gonna go tag some neighbors…missed yesterday, so lots to catch up with. Just remember to always enjoy the quiet times…you never know when a flamingo is just around the corner. ☯️

Interesting observation that could be useful for new players….
In my second world, that I started in September last year, there was an extended period during which none of the basic quests that are supposed to unlock the free characters were happening. It occurred to me one day that the Springfield downs racecourse had been sitting available in the store but I hadn’t bought and placed it. Once I had done that I’ve been experiencing quest after quest. Have been making more progress in the last 2 weeks than in the prior 2 to 3 months. Anyway it seems that certain quests are dependent on the completion of other quests. It’s been awhile since I’d done this in my main world so I must have forgotten this.
Yep. There are a lot of tasks tied to original free content.

I just wanted to say thank you again. I have been dragging my heels for weeks after getting stuck with an inspiration block in the middle of gathering all of my Christmas/snow related items into one new themed area. To top it off, I’ve been getting and plopping an absolute crap-load of new buildings from the Yearbook box till I had an idea of where they would all go. Seeing your fabulous design finally gave me the push to get to it. I got all of the Winter stuff sorted and also about half of the huge amount of new stuff as well.
Really, thanks to all of the people who take the time to share their towns and ideas with us all.

I would like to be able to sell back more items. What can I do with 63 Bonsai trees? Also, why can’t there be buildings and characters that I can purchase with my fame money instead of donuts?

How about the almost 4000 pieces of monorail track in my storage? And I have a huge monorail in toen, but still too much in storage. My OCD really hates it.
If it was possible, I would’ve taken the 63 Bonsai Trees since I’ve been using them in my Asian parts of my town and have been sending Akira to produce them. A positive to having them is that you saved yourself 756 donuts from buying them individually in the store.
