It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

ICYMI, we’re having a TSTO Addicts Tag-A-Thon contest! A few rounds have already been closed, but check out the two that are still open here to participate! (Police Station and Town Hall)
We’re still waiting to see what happens in TSTO, but the E3 Expo is this Tuesday (June 11th). So we’ll see what happens then.

In the Store, the Recommended Item that always shows up at the right in the initial view (along with the 4 Vault items) – is that always from the current store inventory? Or does it ever come from past items that are no longer in the store? I’m asking because I need 2 items for my golf course which are no longer in the store: white spotlight and the Japanese lantern….

lol I hope to have it announced today. Just depends on what’s going on today at work. Right now I’m swamped, but I hope to have some time to review it after lunch 🙂
So, it was nation Doughnut Day on Friday no mention of it in our little game.
The last mini event (The Real Moms) was released a few days after Mother’s Day so Donut Day might appear sometime in the week.

Try going to the EA main website and log in, then log out. Now try logging out of your game and logging back in…hopefully this will return your neighbors. 😁

As someone who did a ton during the game I apologise if some didn’t fit the rule. If you’ll look there is a flag on the building next door in everyone I posted. But I’m not sure this was even directed at me though but in case it was. I was up until 3am tagging every friends I had!! 😁😁😁😁

Screenshots of just a tagged town hall without any of the other requirements will not count, no matter HOW many of them you post!
We just started watching The Night Of, a HBO miniseries and it is amazing. It came out a couple of years ago staring John Turturro and he knocks it out of the ball park!
So back when the town photo option was first added, I got a wonderful
16000 x 8400 47 MB PNG file showing my town.
Since the game is now on shaky ground, I thought I’d take one last shot
since I’ve expanded a bit and made some changes, but now the pic is
a pitiful 8320 x 4400 15 MB PNG file
Did they change the picture feature to make it faster? (I play on an Amazon
Fire, so I have been away from the game for a few months)
I have never been able to get an image larger than 6 mb right from the start. 🙁 That’s very disappointing since my Springfield is huge… I figured it was my not-so-new iPad.
I did the same thing unfortunately using an old kindle ( generation 5 I think ) got a rather small approx 8 MB image, still it shows the main features. I used to play on a Samsung tablet but donated to my daughter as the tablet we got her for Christmas died after a few months.

Finally a break in the heat here and some much needed rain. Actually, over 8 inches of rain in the past four days, and more coming thru Wednesday…can’t say we don’t like a bit of excess here in Savannah!🤪
Gives me an excuse to stay in and have a laid back Sunday 😴(not that I really need an excuse), after a busy Saturday shuffling furniture and cleaning out closets yesterday. We’re kind of in flux here…we finally reserved a space for my dad at an excellent facility with an Alzheimers wing in Savannah (been waiting 6 months), so are now coordinating new doctors visits, new assessments, and all the legal rigamarole involved in moving him to a new facility in a different state. Meanwhile, we’re switching around some rooms for my mom to stay with us (only one bedroom is downstairs), so lots to do to make everything happen smoothly. So glad my mom finally decided to give up the house in Florida, so now we can all move forward. 👍
Anyway, that’s why no tagging entries from me yesterday…busy, busy, busy. We’re under a time crunch to get everything done before the deposit on his space is no longer valid…have to get all the new evaluations, x-rays, and referrals done in the next two weeks, all without causing my Dad too much distress. Just getting him here is going to be a major challenge for all of us… but we can at least see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I think everyone will be in a much better space in a few weeks.
Looking forward to a settled life again, maybe just in time for a new event? Hope springs eternal…😁

I’m having trouble with Fairy Kodos. She’s stuck on her 8hr task, Flirt with Springfield males so She’s constantly flying across the screen. She’s been stuck for four days. The task says complete but when I tap Go To, nothing happens. Anyone else having this trouble? Any fixes? Since she’s not connected to any buildings I can’t release her that way and the 8hr task is connected to the Simpsons House so I can’t store it. Help!
I just got this skin last week and I cannot think of an easy fix to your problem. If this happened to me my last resort would be uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

just nuke, and I’m pretty sure fairy kodos goes to a building to perform the visual task, at least Arnie does for me
I think kodos came with the raygun, so store the gun and then place it again,
i’ve had this problem with Doug, Benjamin, and Gary when they’re doing their Hack University Test Scores task together… usually going to the Friends screen, visiting Other Springfield (or anyone else) then returning switches them to tap-able again, though once I did have to completely shutdown and reboot my iPad to clear them. Otherwise, as mentioned elsewhere, a full reinstall will probably do it — EA will ask you to do this first anyways if you contact their support teams.

I’ve had a nice restful weekend doing some volunteering at our local library bookstore. It is an amazing place for one of the most erudite communities in the U.S. (1/10 w/ Ph.D., home to one of the best and most expansive research facilities in the world… all in a town of 17k people) to recycle their books – everything from neutron tomography to Zoroastrianism. I picked up an amazing condition complete Far Side for $20 and a few of my favorite collecting niche-type books (things like Tom Swift, Hardy Boys, etc). I love being in there and helping other people find stuff that interests them and watch the out of town visitors boggle at how low the prices are (typically $1 hardback / $0.25 paperback). I like researching the rare books we get in and finding some super gems. If rare, we price them at 1/2 the lowest online price. All profits go to the library, which is a gem in and of itself.
Today is all about the dogs – we’ve been out in the back yard chucking the balls – which is an activity that involves getting the border collie off on one and the other two (golden and golden doodle) off on the other. Otherwise the bossy border collie will just get them all. It’s a challenge!
I really like this tagging challenge thing – I wonder if the whole scavenger hunt thing could be expanded to other arrangements in towns. Not sure how that would work but ??
