It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

First of all, it’s Father’s Day here in the US and Canada (and i’m sure some other places as well). So happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! (especially Patric and Wookiee!)

You know, I’m at Costco every week. I know that store like the back of my hand…I have yet to see this.
Ditto. Our Costco is weird though. They sometimes bake and sell some interesting items that you won’t see again for a few months. I don’t know that I could buy such a huge donut. I might be tempted to go all Homer in on it.

Missed this an posted on an ol’e grumpy thread on tagging. I know there were thoughts on consolidation of tagging/no tagging. How about a a “hi-dilly-ho nehborino” or whatever you want to call it that A)doesn’t care about tagging B) lists generally where in the world we are from and 3) is searchable on the site in case we want to find each other (no extra work from you wanted…maybe a #? Just a thought, kick it around. I’ll send an example in a new post in case you don’t want to promote my friending on here, I’d have to clean out first to take many more. Cheers Tappers!

I am still advocating for a single…”Add Neighbors” section…no modifiers…no other delineation. People can add their preferences into their “add me” comments. Very simple.
Yes that is easier, but who asked for easy? Other than sane folks? Just a thought for people who care more about the community aspect then the stats. Feel free to add me and I’ll tag when I can. I’d love to see your town. Thanks for your insight. Love you guys.

Hey neighbors! I kinda messed up big time! I didn’t realize that the golden goose realty would basically be the only way to get land tokens and I didn’t purchase it when it was available. Does anyone know how I can get more land tokens or if the golden goose realty will be back in game again soon? I’m running out of space and figured there would be free tokens with this new event but thus far it’s been a big no on that one. Please and thank you to anyone who can help 🙂
Only other way that I know of is through the daily challenges, occasionally the reward is a land token.
Not sure why GGR is not in the store. Luckily I bought it as soon as Alissa recommended it. Wish I could gift you some tokens as I still have plenty of land available for purchase with money and so the tokens are just piling up.

Is anyone else having the issue of extra passes not carrying over to the next part I had 56 passes and only needed 18 and the rest didn’t carry over this has happened twice part 3 and part 4
They don’t carry over. Not an issue, just how the game is played.
If you calculate the number that you need for the first prize and wait 5 minutes or so the points might carry over to the next prize .
It seems like I used that trick in a previous event but I’m not tried it in this one .
On a side note have you ever read about Ned Kelly that lived in Australia ?

Just to be a little more clear put 5 minutes in between your characters at work .
That way you’re not collecting all of them at one time .
Good luck I might have to use that myself and see if it’ll work on this event .

Happy Fathers Day to all you fantastic Dad’s out there!! My father, husband and I spent the day at the hospital with my Gramps (that’s what I call him) Its funny how people call there Grandparents by different versions of the name. He’s coming to the end of his time with us on earth. I’m so grateful to be his Granddaughter and sadness aside it was a great day with my 3 favourite Dads ever!! It really is the little moments that make life so sweet!! I finished the prize track this morning and looking forward to next week. I like the prizes for this event I’m really enjoying it!! Wishing all the tappers out there a great Sunday!!

A few weeks ago someone mentioned they were watching a show called “Letterkenny”. Since I had never heard of it before we decided to check it out. And, I have to say it is one of the funniest and unique shows I have ever seen. Definitely dialog driven, so you do kinda have to pay attention, but well worth it. I admit sometimes it was what I call “juvenile boy humor”. But overall really funny. My hubby kept saying “This show is GREAT!!” So a big thank you to whoever it was that mentioned this in their post.
Off to go camping for two weeks with no internet available so looks like I will miss some of this event. But that’s ok. Look forward to this trip every year!

Did I miss something? Have they removed TSTO from Amazon Kindle? When I search the app store, there is no TSTO. When I try to log into the game, I get the “Update Available” dialogue, but when it opens TSTO in the app store, it only offers the option to open the game, not update it. I finally got it to install on my phone, but I have only just started the event.
How old is your device? Possible it’s no longer supported
I had the same problem and yes it appears it’s no longer supported on older Kindles. I had to bite the bullet and order a new tablet
They did this a couple of years ago with iOS and Android. Just can’t keep up with the newest versions and still support the older ones. Frustrating for sure!
I tried sending a trouble ticket, saying I’m playing on Kindle and can’t update. They sent a response saying clear your phone’s cache and restart your phone, then update the app. My kindle works just fine, I’m not spending money I don’t need to just for a game. Ya’ll enjoy playing, it has been fun knowing you all and being part of this community.

I called my dad today and having this holiday remind me of how lucky I am makes everything about random holidays worth it.
It’s good that we have a new event; I like the EA building mostly and it’s a funny story line as well. Glad to see a bit of refreshment spritzed onto the wilting game 🙂 My design plans, as always, seem to linger on the vine without me getting really creative or finding the time to do anything about it. I am really enjoying visiting friends and seeing what they’re up to, even if I can’t get there every day.
Anyway, hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend!!

Always check the site before I log into my game… if my math is right, I’ll be finishing up this Act and getting my character (Happy Father’s Day to me! Lol).

Thanks for the event info spot. It’s been awhile since I needed the calendar. It’s nice that it’s easy to find without scrolling.
My Springfield is a mess. I cleaned out the massive box and plopped it all down. It was a fun binge, but some clean up and design is needed.
The event has me more interested in TSTO again. I was playing about once every 2 or 3 days. The 4 times a day is a familiar, fun grind after a long span of not that much to do in TSTO.
