It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Help me out here… I’ve recently been told I should be leaving things untapped for visiting friends. Ive been playing for years and have NEVER done this. Is this a thing? Has this been covered a million times already? Is it a conspiracy!?!? But seriously, I’ve searched and found nothing. I feel like my tapped out world has been turned upside down. Probably no conspiracy. However, when you clear your town, it leaves nothing for friends to tap when they visit (until they earn their income/rent)
Simpson house, Kwik-E-Marts and Brown houses regenerate quickly (45 seconds, 3 minutes, 5 mins), but if you don’t have many of them and happen to have lots of friends visit in the hour after you clear your town, they don’t have anything to tap on, meaning they may be less likely to visit regularly in the future.
Just thought I add a little note for the next lull period. If you are a fan of Game of Thrones, there is a “Game of Thrones Slots Casino” available. It has multiple slots games with quests and “houses” to “hold a keep” and the keep adding new stuff. If you want to join my House it is “Time Lords”.

I’ve only been playing for about 2 years but yesterday managed to buy the last thing from the Yearbook!
I’ve gotten nearly everything I want from the yearbook! There are just a few skins left (Stonecutter Frink and Jasper, Thanksgiving Lisa and Ned) and a couple characters (Ghost Pirate and Alcatraaz) I want. There are a couple presidents I don’t want, and I don’t want the hunting store or safari. Guess I’ll have to start saving my donuts for bigger purchases.

What is that a picture of in the upper right, the little box that shows up during an event that is beside the daily tasks? It’s dark green (like a neon green) and it looks kind of like a computer keyboard. Just curious!

I’d really like if they added traffic signals for intersections! I’ve been asking for this for a long time. It’d be a great decoration to play with in terms of urban planning. Also, I wish the (formerly Krustyland) highway segments connected better to other road segments, as in the sidewalks disappear when touching the highway segments, allowing the road types to integrate.
Another transportation improvement would be more Monorail stations, preferably the ability to obtain more standard-looking ones. Do I hear another Monorail Event? Haha… And speaking of rail, normal freight railroad tracks would be a great new “road” type. They could run alongside the Springfield Union Station and the Rail Yard. They’ve given us locomotives and trolleys for decorations but no infrastructure for them. It’d be really neat to see that when the rail tiles cross road tiles, they automatically create a railroad crossing the way a bridge is automatically created when water tiles intersect road tiles.
And if anyone is familiar with the Family Guy version of this game, they added animations that made it so cars drove around along roads. This would make Springfield more lively and I know it’s possible in the coding already if they based it on the Itchy & Scratchy Parade animations.
Haha that’s the end of my infrastructure rant for now. I hope they keep up support for this game for as long as The Simpsons is a show. But even if not, I’d at least love to see these wishes fulfilled before we have to say goodbye to one of the best mobile games ever!
Lluck002 I agree with you 100%. Curved roads and highways would be a great addition. And four way rotation on everything.
Must admit as I only go on the game maybe 2 or 3 times a day now, I’m struggling to complete Act 2 before Act 3 starts.
Collecting 400 whatever for the Krusty skin seemed to take an age. Still not tempted to spend donuts on the new items, the mystery box more attractive.

The second and fifth prizes have higher requirements to getting them compared to the other act 2 prizes. You should have at least 8 (freemium) characters available earning 64 game cartridges every 4 hours or 128/192 game cartridges every day. If you can try to get 3 or 4 collections everyday so you can still get all the act 2 prizes while you’re working on act 3’s prizes before act 4 starts. You can also buy Sophie Krustofsky if you don’t have her in the yearbook mystery box for 30-150 donuts to help speed up your currency rate in the rest of the acts.

It has finally stopped raining here in Northern Ohio and we are now blessed with a perfect summer day—low humidity, low 70s—even more perfect as I have nowhere to go!
So will be sitting outside farming donuts, watching my hummingbirds, and doing some well needed cleanup in my town. Ebron designs, I just clean things up!
